"Hey, Denki?" Hitoshi mumbled looking somewhere. Hitoshi and Denki were at the mall Shouto was there too but went somewhere. "Yeah?" Denki said stuffing his face with cinnamon pretzels.
"If I'm not mistaken. Thats our boyfriend holding a kitten." He said pointing somewhere. Denki whipped his head towards where he was pointing and sure enough there was a pet store and Shouto was standing inside holding a kitten.
"Well, now we gotta look!" Denki said pulling Hitoshi towards the store. They walked inside it was laying some Christmas jingle and kinda smelled. "Hello," Shouto said in his normal monotone voice. He was holding a tiny black kitten with yellow eyes that were barely open.
"Aww! They're so cute!!" Denki cooed.
"The boyfriend, the cat or the boyfriend holding the cat?" Hitoshi teased. "Yes." Was all Denki had to say. "Her name is Bright because her eyes are bright like the sun." Said a woman - who might work there - walked over to them.
"People come here all the time and hold her but I've never seen her so comfortable with anyone the way she is with you." The woman said looking at Shouto. "Would you like to adopt her?" She asked. Shouto's eyes snapped up and over towards Hitoshi. "...Fine." He sighed "We can get the cat."
"Yay!" Denki yelled before Shouto shushed him looking from Denki to Bright. "I mean yay!" He whispered. "Oh that's great, well um just follow me and I can help you guys out." She said. So she did work there.
The three men followed her over to a counter. "So I need your ID, you need to fill out an application and pay the adoption fee. After that, you might be able to take the kitty home." She explained.
They grabbed the pen and filled out the application. It had simple questions like name, type of dwelling, and other things they would need to know basically. It didn't take very long and the only thing they had issues over was who would be the primary caretaker - Shouto won -.
"Okay, so your ID's clear just got to check the application." She said handing Shouto his ID back. They waited for a few more minutes. "Okay, so you can get the cat!" She cheered also getting shushed by Shouto because now Bright was asleep. "Oh sorry." She chuckled.
They talked for a few more minutes before leaving. "Now we need to get some stuff for her," Hitoshi said as they walked out the mall. "Yeah especially since Shouto has been holding her instead of putting her in a crate!" Denki said his voice progressively getting louder.
Shouto rolled his eyes but didn't say anything on the matter. "Okay what do we need and what don't we need?" Denki asked grabbing his phone. "I'm making a list." He explained at their confused faces. "Okay, we need cat food," Hitoshi said. "Yeah, we only have food for Denki's fat cat." Shouto teased.
"He is not fat!" Denki exclaimed. "His name is Pig," Hitoshi added in. "Hmph. anything else?" Denki pouted, "We need a bed for her." Shouto suggested. "Adding it to the list. We already have toys so is that it?" Denki asked looking around.
"Food and water bowls." Hitoshi pointed out. "And a collar, harness, and leash," Shouto added. "Right!" Denki said adding them to the list. "We'll probably find more things once we get to the store," Hitoshi said opening the car door to the driver seat.
"Yeah, you're right." Denki and Shouto said at the same time. "Jinx you owe me a soda!" Denki said. "The jinx machine is outta order you just Los yourself a quarter. Now give me a quarter" Shouto said holding out the hand that was petting the kitten.
"Cheater," Denki mumbled getting in the passenger seat. "You're the one that taught it to me," Shouto said carefully getting into the back seat. They drove in silence - minus Denki singing to the radio - to PetSmart. "Are you're arms not tired?" Denki asked Shouto when they walked into the store.
"No," Shouto said. Denki just hummed in response.
-after shopping back at home because im a lazy motherfucker-
"That's the last of it," Hitoshi said putting the bag on the counter. They had stopped to get a few groceries after pet shopping. "Can we get Bright situated before putting the groceries away?" Denki begged. Said cat was now sitting on the couch with Shouto after her nap.
She was also staring at the fat ginger cat on the fluffy rug who was staring back. She jumped down and walked over to him and once she got there she walked around him while he sat there. She sniffed him and he hissed at her. Clearly startled she jumped back before hissing as well.
"You said you were gonna get her situated but you're just standing there watching." Hitoshi said looking at him as if to say 'get to it'. Denki jumped up and grabbed the bag from PetSmart going over to Shouto, Bright, and Pig.
Bright and Pig were still hissing at each other before Shouto grabbed Bright. "You're still a kitten you can't fight him," Shouto said petting her to calm her down. "Tell your pig to leave my cat alone."
"I'm busy," Denki said walking away to put Brights things away. After he put the things away - with help from Shouto at some point - he went to ask Hitoshi about dinner. "I don't know what do you want?" He said sitting on the couch on his phone. "Soba!" Shouto said from the rug where he was laying with both the sleeping cats.
"How about no," Hitoshi said. "Um, what did we get at the store again?" Denki asked them. "Fucking look," Shouto mumbled. He was clearly also falling asleep. "Right," Denki said before walking into the kitchen.
He looked around for about a half an hour before giving up. "I don't know what to eat. Let's get pizza." Denki said flopping on the couch - and Hitoshi -. Hitoshi rolled his eyes. "Fine." Then he made Denki order the pizza while he made Shouto get up.
They ate in silence because they were all so tired and had no clue what to say. Then they all got ready for bed and right after they got in bed a little kitten made her way into the crevice of Shouto's neck and snuggled up.
"She's so cute!" Denki cooed quietly. "Yes, now go to sleep," Hitoshi said kissing both his boyfriends on the cheek.
