Panel 5 pretty heavily references one from the Darth Vader comics.

This chapter was initially supposed to include a flashback of Luke feeling Padme's suffering. I thought leaving it out while letting his actions speak for it was more powerful.

The last few posts focused a lot on Luke, but I felt like we don’t get a lot of father-daughter rep of Leia in Star Wars. Here’s an update on what Leia’s doing, while Luke is having adventures with Ahsoka.

According to Star Wars Legends, women of Alderaan typically grew their hair very long. I had Leia’s hair cut short, as this might have been a means for Project Harvester to humiliate and attempt to break her. Also, I intended to give her an anti-Luke sort of design.

I also thought it was funny that both Leia's father and son were known for their facial scars. I'm having Leia bridge the generational gap, lol.

After I posted the first part of these AU comics, I got a lot of people asking what Obi Wan has been up to since Luke was kidnapped. Here you go! Please enjoy Luke’s drawings.

Next part will be another one about Leia.

The Dark Side may have cookies, but it also turns you into a violent and intolerable person who your friends and family don’t want to be around.

Also the first panel is referenced from the episode where Anakin picks up Padme from jail.

Luke is wearing an imperial pilot’s uniform, which Ahsoka probably stole for him, but who knows how she got a size small enough for him.

This was directly following the previous installment. Leia will return next time.

I head canon that Luke never learned from Owen and Beru that Anakin was an ex-slave, as it would be a somewhat traumatic thing to explain to a child.

A lot of people asked, when the previous installments came out, when Luke and Leia will meet. Well, it's finally happened.

Also, you might have noticed that Leia’s outfit changed. That’s actually a mistake (one of many in these comics), but let’s just believe that she has more than one inquisitor tunic. Her normal one must be at the imperial laundromat.

I hope y’all appreciate that I had to look up Huttese swears to make Luke’s dialogue more accurate^tm.

Although, “sithspawn” is actually a Correlian swear, but I decided to leave it because it’s accurate on two fronts. Leia is aligned with the Sith, and she is the spawn of a Sith, even if neither Luke nor Leia knows that yet.

I went pretty simplistic with the backgrounds and shading here, but I have to remind myself that I’m doing this for fun and don’t want to stress myself out to the point that I no longer want to make this project. Might do a short hiatus just because I have a lot of art to do for the holidays, but who knows.

I still don’t know how to draw Vader’s helmet.

Sorry the confrontation between Ahsoka and Vader was so short! I do intend for them to meet again, if I ever finish this comic.

You may have noticed Starkiller is in the tags, so I intend for Starkiller/Galen/The apprentice to show up eventually. I’m making this AU from a mixture of Legends/Canon concepts. I know Starkiller is more so his code name than what Vader actually calls him, but I wanted to make the reference to who Vader was speaking to clear.

I decided to post this early for New Year's Eve!

I love the irony of them talking about the similarities of their fathers when they really share the same one. However, as of now, neither Leia or Luke know that Vader is their father, so Leia is speaking about Bail Organa.

Posting early, on Thursday, because I feel like it.

In which Leia gets grounded by her dad, and neither party realizes the hilarious irony of it.

I wasn’t originally going to show StarKiller until much later, but since just dropping his name brought on such a positive response, I decided to include him in panel 3. I made the bold choice of giving him longer hair than the usual shaved cut, because when I was showing previews of my designs for him in a discord, the more positive response was his longer-haired design.

If you look closely, Luke and Ahsoka's outfits are inspired by Padme and Anakin's Naboo costumes in Ep 2.

The background in the last panel is taken from a film. It’s supposed to depict a view from the Jedi Temple. Given that the Jedi Temple was converted to an Imperial Palace, Leia is now living in a former Padawan’s dorm.

Getting yelled at by your boss is humiliating, but when your boss is also your ex? Horrifying.

While the version of Ahsoka you see in the Madelorian seems at peace with herself, the version of her I want to depict in this story is someone who is freshly suffering from her losses from the Clone Wars, and one who is therefore open to temptation from the Dark Side.

If you were interested, Ahsoka’s new ship is a Firespray, a ship favored by Mandelorians. In between episodes, she probably called in a favor. She also managed to steal another pilot’s uniform for Luke.

I don't have too much of a description. This is just a follow up on the Kyber Crystals that Luke stole.
Luke just wants to be a jedi, like his father, so bad.

In which three old men sit around and talk about their lost kids. I call it the “Skywalker support group.” I guess this makes Anakin ObiWan’s lost kid.

Bail’s ship is a ILH-KK Citadel, Civilian Class. It took me awhile to pick out a ship that would work. Obviously, it couldn’t be a diplomatic vessel since it would be too official/suspicious to fly down to Tatooine, and it had to be small enough to fit next to Kenobi’s hut.

It's snowing, so I don't have (at the office) work today. Here's the update early!

I really had to fight not to give Leia bantha-themed pajamas, but the dark side would not allow it.

Here we have Luke with his two new Sabers, Leia with a wig bearing her trademark donut buns, and Sola Naberrie having neglected to tell both the twins that this meeting was actually more of a family reunion. I wouldn’t condone doing this thing in real life but for my comic... the drama.

I’m going to take a short hiatus from this project (1 week), but i will be back!

Space Thanksgiving must be so awkward when the Empire came around. On one side of the table you may have your fascist niece who is part of the oppressive government, on the other you have your rebel nephew who is an enemy of the state. Awkward :/

I think years of arguing with my brothers prepared me to write this dialogue.

Side notes:

Padme mentions to Anakin in one Clone Wars episode that she used to make some type of bread as a kid. I couldn't quite make out the dialogue. It sounded like she said "Bly bread"?

I assume Sabe's actions on Tatooine became part of common knowledge for the incredibly small population on the planet. Thus, it is entirely plausible that Luke vaguely knows about Padme. Although, I haven't yet read Queen's Shadow, so sorry if my grasp on canon here is weak.

In which Darth Vader's best friend is a 14 year old child. (Yes, that's Starkiller)

Jokes aside, I'm pretty proud of this chapter, and excited to post it! I feel like I've been planning Vader's realization for several months now.

This family reunion is about to get a lot more interesting.

That’s Ryoo and Pooja Naberrie in the second-to last panel, Luke and Leia’s cousins that showed up in a deleted, episode 2 scene, and Padme’s funeral.

I’m sure they’ll all be fine. Ahsoka got away last time, right?

Now that's what I call a... custody battle! ba-dum-shhhh!

I hinted this back in October 2020, but Mara Jade has finally appeared in the comic.

I think this breaks the record for number of colors I’ve used in one of these installments. While most of the 3d models used in this comic were made by me in blender, the Headhunter that Mara is sitting on was made by user, Flodihn on Turbosquid.

Unfortunately, due to some stresses in my personal life I will have to take a short hiatus from these comics. Don't worry, It will only be a month, at most. Usually, I queue these comics in advance and due to my decreased free time I have nothing currently sitting in queue.

I'm happy to be back working on this project! I can't promise updates will be weekly anymore, as I'm not sure that was sustainable.

Ahsoka isn't dead, I just want to establish that one more time.

While most of the 3D models in this comic were made by me, Mara Jade’s Headhunter was made by Flodhin on Turbosquid.

I hope you all enjoyed me updating two weeks in a row for my return! I am likely going to shift to a schedule of 1 update every 2 weeks or more, as that is more conducive to my schedule at this time.

Most of the 3d backgrounds were created by me, but the Headhunter model was made by user, Flodihn on Turbosquid.

I suppose this update will make a lot of people happy, as a large portion of my comments on Instagram have been asking when Ahsoka and Starkiller will come back. FYI, I didn't make this update for that reason. This scene has been scripted months ahead.

This is slowly becoming the feral little girl comic.

While I did make a 3d model for the background of this comic, something went wrong with the rendering in Clip Studio, so I ended up tracing over it rather than using a filter. It's a bit of a shame since I spent hours looking at old cutaways of Padme's ship to get this room right.

That awkward moment that you haven’t explained to your sand farmer brother and adopted assassin that you’re actually a princess.

I'd planned to bring Winter back for awhile. She won't be joining the main gang on their disaster travels, but I didn't want her to be a one-time appearance.

Also, sorry this week's update was so short. I will update next week and it will b 9 panels.

This update was a little more dialogue-heavy than I originally intended. I’m also sorry the whole Leia hiding her identity thing was immediately revealed, but like I’ve said in the past I’m trying to make the comic short enough for me to actually finish it someday.

I'm going to start training for a new job soon, so It's going to be hard to keep up with this project. I’ve been trying to hint that the reason Leia embraced the dark side in this fanfic mirrors Anakin, both being motivated by those they love being in danger. I was excited to finally get to that plot point after scripting it months ago. This is slightly different than her canon depiction in episode 4, who was able to watch Alderaan be destroyed without giving up the true location of the rebel base. However, Leia is 12 in the flashback, rather 19 as in the movie -- and therefore not as emotionally mature.

Since Luke was introduced in episode 4, I thought one of his best characteristics was that he was willing to risk everything to save Leia, without knowing her, because it was the right thing - and in episode 6 when he risked everything again, on the belief that there was something good in his father. I wanted to exemplify this trait in his portrayal in this fanfic. He wont give up on Ahsoka.

And thus ends what’s probably the darkest arc in this story... probably. Next update will be a lot lighter. Fun fact, panel 2 is a reference to the "I pledge myself to your teachings" shot in Revenge of the Sith. In the second to last panel, Leia is chanting the Sith Code. While the inquisitors aren't Sith, I feel like a lot of their mentality and beliefs have to be based on Sith philosophy.

It was nice to draw Leia not miserable for once, in the last panel.

The gang’s finally all here! I was a little relieved to make a lighter update. I know people were excited for Starkiller to have a bigger role in the comic, but I hope you manage your expectations. Unlike in the games, he's only 14 at this point in the story.

I know I may get slack for making Leia and Starkiller a couple, but I thought it made narrative sense. The two of them are kids, relatively the same age hanging around Darth Vader. With Starkiller who immediately had a crush on Juno in canon, and Leia who inherited her mother's taste in bad boys... I thought it made sense. It was going to be hinted at earlier with a discarded WIP panel of Leia and Starkiller running into each other after Leia got in trouble on Coruscant and exchanging mutual grimaces.

I’m sorry to say that I might be on hiatus from this project, and weekly posting until December. I feel a little bad to say this, but I think a break from constantly making comics might be the best for my mental health. Who knows if i'll stick to December as the hard deadline to when i'll return to the comic. It could be earlier or later.

Fun fact: Panel 2 is a reference to Luke disapproving of Han mentioning the possibility of being in relationship with Leia in Episode IV. I read that scene as protective sibling energy.

I was chatting with an online buddy about how Leia and Starkiller would run into relationship trouble pretty soon. They mentioned that Leia and Starkiller probably had some political differences...

It was inevitable that Starkiller would eventually try to kill Luke and Mara.

It’s fun to finally illustrate this scene after planning it out in the script for so long! I can’t help but laugh a bit at how dramatic the teenagers are...

If you ever under-estimate my dedication to this silly fan comic, I was working on panels of this update while my house was out of power, after a snowstorm, before my laptop ran out of power. (Author's note: I don't think this is healthy, but it's hard to have hobbies during the pandemic).

The fight between Luke, Mara, and Proxy was originally going to be longer, but I ended up cutting those panels. I want to actually finish this fanfic one day, so I make occasional efforts to shorten the script.

Things went about as well as you would have expected for Leia and Starkiller. It was a noble effort on Leia’s part.

(Fun fact, I have placeholder names for each part before I pick the actual one. This one was called "Starkiller fucked up.")

I did Model UN a bit in high school. I remember the more complex sessions could cover topics like the Zombie Apocalypse, with students taking the roles of specific politicians. I thought Leia’s role wouldn’t be toooff-base.

I’m not sure E11 Blasters had been introduced yet by this point in the Star Wars timeline but there’s a limit to the perfectionism I can put into a project that’s supposed to be fun.

It was such a relief to make an update that was only six panels long. I can’t say the same for next update, which was one of the most ambitious updates of the entire comic.

The LukeMara vibes are strong in this update. I have a soft spot for the ship. This is a bit of a callback to them being lost in a forest in the original Thrawn Trilogy.

Finally some quality father-daughter bonding in this wholesome fanfic.

Leia really pulled the uno-reverse card on this interrogation.

Not going to joke around, this has been the most complex update I’ve made so far. I would say it’s two updates in one with five additional panels for both the Padme Flashbacks and Leia’s kidnapping.

I will note, that I am moving in a week, so it may be a few weeks before the next update.

If only Leia realized she was one of the only people in the Empire who can one-hit-kill Vader in a conversation by talking about Padme.

On a more positive note, I finally have a beta reader! Thank you to my friend, Dula!

... Yeah, Ahsoka seems to be coping well.

It took her long enough.

I really liked the title of “Lady Vader” given to Leia in the original Thrawn trilogy--and that Leia was somewhat uncomfortable with it. Leia got this title from the Noghri, but I like to headcanon that children of Sith traditionally inherit their parents’ title, even without becoming Lords through training.

This attaches to another headcanon of mine about Sith: their use of the Dark Side is akin to injecting their bodies with poison over a long period of time. The result is significant damage to their bodies, which is somewhat reflected in canon. This would make it exceedingly rare for a Sith Lord to have a biological child.

I don’t know if it’s in the game, but in the Force Unleashed Novelization, Galen theorizes that he might be a clone of Vader. I thought I might include that. Leia’s origins would have probably triggered a panic.

It’s crazy that all of Kenobi passed before I could start work on panels again! I already had the story’s outline written, and it’s crazy that there are some similarities to the show! I’m glad we finally have little Luke and Leia in canon now!

Minus a few minor changes, the script for the comic has been plotted out. It’s a little wild that I wrote the line “I’m just Leia” before she spoke that line in canon.

Speaking of changes – Starkiller and Leia were originally supposed to be broken up for the remainder of this fic. I changed my mind because of some people complaining about not liking the two of them as a couple. This reversed my decision lol. (I'm still a HanLeia and GalenJuno shipper, but I can be a tad bit petty, if it's funny.)

I actually went kind of low in terms of 3D assets I used. I modeled an entire room for the Vader and Ahsoka panels but the way I set them up meant that you barely see them.

Apologies for the delay on picking up this comic project again. My mental health has been a bit *gestures vaguely*.
I am hoping to get out the next two updates in December!

I went a bit further on experimenting with using some of my hiking photos as backgrounds. While I won’t stop making or using 3D backgrounds in the comic, this was a nice way to experiment. I also ended up making a mushroom brush for some of the backgrounds!

Let me know if you like this new style for backgrounds! I might use it a bit more to save time.

The next update will be the end of this short arc! The normal plot will start again on part 46.

I sometimes get frustrated on updates where not very much happens, but I have to remind myself that stories need low or slower points for pacing. I also wanted Leia and Starkiller to have this more personal conversation.

Galen’s design wasn’t changed due to people complaining about it looking different than the games. This post-time-skip design has been intended for awhile. I meant to imply that Leia was the one who cut his hair. There was some dialogue about it that was ultimately cut from the script.

Concerning the time skip, Leia is now 14 and Galen is now 15.

Something that I really liked about Luke, which I feel wasn’t present in the Sequel Trilogy, was that he would risk everything to do what’s right. One of his first major actions as a character is risking his life to save his sister, who at the time was a girl he hadn’t met. I wanted to use some of that character aspect in this fic, so I decided Luke would come and rescue Leia first.

Woo! Part 50! That's quite a benchmark!

The style may look a little different this update, as I drew the line art on my iPad rather than on my laptop through Clip Studio Paint.

I was so excited about Leia's new lightsaber. Those with a keen eye might notice it has aspects of Vader's lightsaber and Padme's blaster.

The new outfits will be what the characters will be wearing for the remainder of the comic. I, too, will mourn the loss of Starkiller's previous outfit.

I have mixed feelings about the Third Sister. Overall, she had a great concept! However, I'm not so sure I was fully satisfied with her execution of the narrative. (Note: I still love the Kenobi show. I just think it has flaws.) In this story's interpretation, I wanted to make her more intimidating but also a force that isn't entirely siding towards good or evil. She helps Leia both from a feeling of familiarity with being a scared young girl and also a desire to sabotage whatever Vader has planned with Leia and Ahsoka.

One final note of clarity: The blue text box is Luke.

For once, I made all the models in this piece by myself! All the textures are also from photos I took!

This update was so much more work than expected. Thanks to a computer crash, I almost lost this, but I recovered most of the artwork with Clip Studio's automatic recovery files.

Obligatory AO3 Personal Life Updates: One of my brothers got married. I'm applying to graduate schools. I did Inktober last month, and I am doing NaNoWriMo right now! (I've been running around a lot, haven't had much time for personal projects, and may need a nap.)

We're back to Coruscant! It took me long enough to get here. Let's see if I am able to muster up the energy to actually finish this comic.

I do consider this to be the lead up to the final arc!

Mara's ballerina-inspired body language was one of my favorite parts of this update.

A lot of the background assets are taken from photos I took around my local city.

I was fighting demons to get you this update. (The demons are just (1) my laptop, it now shuts off at random with no warning if it isn’t plugged in, and (2) the 3D file that hosts the Sith Temple Doorway which usually makes Clip Studio Crash.)

I am proud of all the time and work that went into the doorway. It’s not fully modeled but is instead a Blender Displacement map. Still, it took a very long time to get to work.

The Clone Wars TV Show had an unused concept of Ahsoka exploring a Sith Temple deep under the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. I wanted to revisit this idea because I love playing with different unexplored ideas from Star Wars.

Everyone was getting along too well.

Next update is in progress, but y'all are well versed on my laptop issues these days, so who knows when it will be out. My goal is to finally finish this comic before September.

Time for a visit from grandpa palpatine.

An underlying theme of this update work has been rage- quitting. Two sudden shutdowns of my laptop made me lose line-art work. Each time I took a break afterwards because I was so frustrated, but hey, I’m done now!
I cut some corners on the art for this piece, but I was growing impatient.

In Mara's defense, everyone makes mistakes. Sometimes, someone doesn't explain to her brother that their mutual father is a Sith Lord. Sometimes, someone summons Grandpa Palpatine to their location.

Per Andor, "shit" is now a valid swear word in Star Wars lore.

I want to finish this fan comic before I go to graduate school in September. Let's see if I can accomplish that goal.

This update initially had six planned panels, but the perfectionist in me somehow added three more. I sometimes feel like I have such a weird hobby.

The background is based on the sith academy in the KotOR duology. I promised myself I wouldn't model any additional backgrounds and only use free ones that I found online. Clearly, I was lying to myself.

I still need to finish my classes, finish my dissertation, and move back to my home country. After I get full-time employment, I will begin saving up to buy the parts of or purchase a new computer to make comics on.]
