    Curufin adjusted his mask, a likeness of a red fox; with no other opportunities for diversion, he supposed he would accept another flute of wine from the next server and dance as he might with the next willing suitor.

    As fate would have it, the suitor appeared before the wine. As much as Curufin prided himself on his keen senses, he did not notice the elf behind him until his voice came warm and low in his ear.
