Beach House

Summary:

Kirari wants to spend some quality time with Sayaka without being too obvious about it so she invites the student council to her beach house.

Chapter 1

Notes:

Imagine a happy future where Kirari is the President and everyone are friends (sort of). Trying to go for a Kakegurui Kari vibe here, more than the gamble-to-the-death vibe of the actual series.

The first chapter is more or less to get the ball rolling. The next chapters are longer than this one.

I just wanted to have some fun with the characters. I hope you like it.

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

The 105th student council President Kirari Momobami was wrapping up a meeting.

“The last order of business today,” she said, leaning back in her chair as her secretary removed the last papers in front of her. “Well, it's not really business related, I guess. Does anyone have plans for the upcoming long weekend?”

Runa, Yuriko, Midari and Yumemite looked at each other with curiosity written on their faces. What was this, all of a sudden? They slowly shook their heads uneasily.

“I was thinking it could be fun to take a trip to our family's beach house in the Ryukyu Islands. We could take our private jet. It might be amusing.”

The President smiled magnanimously while the other council members looked surprised. Neither of them had ever seen any part of the Momobami estate, except for Sayaka who had visited the Twins' home twice in official business.

“S-sure! That sounds like fun, President,” Yumemite said with a shaky smile. The others joined in with a chorus of nervously excited agreement. The President never made plans without a catch, however, and until they knew what it was, they silently decided to stay wary.

“Splendid!” The President rubbed her hands together with a satisfied look on her face. The council members perceived an aura of scheming in the room, and wondered what was going on. The answer appeared to them quickly as the President continued.

“There are only four bedrooms however, so we are going to have to share,” Kirari said with a coy smile. Suddenly it dawned on everyone where this was going. Well, almost everyone.

“Do you wanna share a room with me, Prez?” Midari asked, leaning forward over the table while pointing to herself.

Kirari stared at her with cold, withering eyes and a crushing atmosphere of murderous intent fell down on the surrounding council members. Everyone suddenly became very occupied acting like they hadn't heard Midari say anything.

“Uhe,” Midari laughed nervously. “It was only a joke, Prez!” Scary...

A smile reappeared on Kirari's face as she seemed to pretend that the last minute hadn't happened. Everyone let out the breath they were holding.

“We can share a room, Midari,” Yuriko quickly said, eager to let the charade the President was putting on continue without a hitch. Maybe she could score some good will with her for later.

Yumemi fidgeted and looked at Kirari who was smiling contently with her eyes closed, waiting, seemingly, for the rest of her puzzle to fall into place.

“Say, Runa, do you wanna share a room?” Yumemite asked, nervously grabbing at the short girl's orange hoodie with one shaking hand, keeping her eyes on the President.

“Okay,” Runa replied nonchalantly, never looking up from her game.

Kirari opened her eyes and turned her sly face towards the Vice-President, who straightened her back as her sister's gaze fell on her. “I suppose you would like to invite that little friend of yours to come along, wouldn't you?”

The Vice-President jumped a little in her chair and nodded sharply.

“Hey, I didn't know we could invite other peop-” Midari was cut short by the murderous intent emanating from the masked girl staring silently across the table. Midari sunk back in her chair.

“Uhee... O-of course she can come too, the more the merrier and all... Hey! Maybe we could invite Yumeko too-”

“No!” Sayaka all but shouted. Everyone turned around to look at her. She blushed profusely and elaborated at a more appropriate volume. “Eh, there are only four rooms, so there's no place left for... Anyone else.”

“That's true,” Kirari said, smiling mischievously up at her secretary. “My, Sayaka. Looks like it's just you and me left. I suppose we're going to have to share a room. How lucky for me.”

No one dared to look at each other as Sayaka blushed nervously at her smiling President.

How very lucky indeed.

Notes:

Kirari being subtle (not really).

This is the first fanfiction I've ever published, so please don't judge it too harshly. I've already finished the story so the chapters should be published rather rapidly. I'm just taking a little time in between to see how people respond to each chapter.
