Izuku Midoriya is the type of person who wears his heart in his sleeve. He feels strongly and is not afraid of showing it. He isn't scared to cry or to be loud because that's how he shows his passion. He cares deeply for those around him, even the strangers walking down the street, and feels the need to keep them safe. He strives to be a hero because he wants to help people and make the world a better place.
He is also scarily observant and has great memory. Izuku is the type of person to gift very detailed presents because he remembers the exact shade of yellow the person mentioned they liked while discussing a totally unrelated topics. He stashes all of the information away in neat piles in his brain and they are always ready to be used at a moment's notice.
He struggles with insecurity. Sometimes he feels like he is not doing enough, not giving his all and failing feels like a punch to the gut. New scenarios make him nervous and Izuku works very hard to be confident. He constantly fights with the labels others put on him for years and uses them as motivators to surpass who he was.
Being his friend is a rollercoaster as he is both a sunshine and a pain in the ass. His personal mission is to help others even if this means overstepping their boundaries. He is caring, loving and protective. An encouraging presence to be around and the perfect person to motivate you. He will go to the end of the world to make sure his friends are safe. He may be awkward or a little overbearing at times but his heart is usually in the right place. Izuku is a great friend because he knows how it feels to be the outcast and he'll be damned if he lets anyone feel that way.
He is determined, obsessive and competitive. Izuku isn't one to quit easily or give up even if he fails. He is relentless, a true force to be reckoned with and overall a nightmare to deal with. He does everything to reach his goals and is prepared to face the worst odds with a smile in place. He is a formidable opponent and a terrifying enemy. He relies equally on analysis and sheer luck. He breaks down his opponents' tactics and devises the craziest plans that only he can truly pull off. He is reckless, impulsive and just a bit agreesive. There is no problem he can't solve or punch into submission.
Izuku also lacks the tiniest tinge of a sense of self preservation. He will tear himself apart if it means he might save somebody else. As long as he is the only one in danger there is no price to high to pay even if it costs him his life. He is a self-sacrificing martyr blinded by his love and strong sense of justice. He learns through failure and pain. Willing to play with fire and burn himself to save someone else. There is nothing to risky or impossible for him. He has a one-track mind and a full arsenal of insane plans ready to attack.
Izuku is someone who doesn't know limits because he defies them. He views failure as a learning opportunity and constantly uses it to his advantage. He is passionate and caring, always going the extra mile. He is impulsive, reckless and too willing to fight and win.
He is a hero because he is selfless and he is flawed because he forgets to care about himself.
