Summary
The human was singing. He was chained in this dungeon, same as Runaan, and yet he had the indecency to sing as if he were at the fair. Runaan had been quiet so far. Patiently waiting for death. There was no need to ever interact with the human, no matter how annoying his incomprehensible cheerfulness was. But everyone reached a breaking point.
In which Runaan learns that humans aren't all bad, Gren is too good-hearted to leave Runaan languishing in prison, and two elves and a human have to reckon with past wrongs while falling in love someone they would never have expected.
