Work Text:

It’s a widely kept secret at GMM that Bright and Win are besotted with each other. They haven’t come out as a real couple to the rest of the world, but in the private and safe confines of GMMTV and the staff, everyone knows how Bright and Win are reserved for each other.

Tu, for one, didn’t expect them to be together at all. The first time she met Bright, she was nervous. How could she not? This was her first series and she’s already being paired with the hottest name in Thailand currently.

“He’s right through here. You can hang out with him for a while, get to know each other.” One of the staff said as they let her through a hallway and stopped in front of the door Bright was in. Tu nodded her head and smiled, trying not to show her nerves. She knows that Bright’s known as a reserved person, not one to talk a lot, especially to a new person so what would she say when they’ve done all the small talk? What if it gets awkward too soon? What if they don’t get along? Oh god, what if -

“Relax,” The staff chuckles, probably noticing the way she froze halfway into knocking on the door. “He’s nice, it’ll just take him a while to open up to people. Win’s there inside, I’m sure that’ll help.”

Win? She thought it was going to be just Bright but then again, they must be close after the series they did, which was why they were already hanging out together. With an encouraging nod from the staff, Tu knocks twice on the door.

“Come in,” A voice says not long after, and she pushes the door open. Laughter fades out once she steps in and she’s greeted with the grinning face of Win Metawin and Bright Vachirawit, who was smiling softly.

“You must be Tu!” Win says, standing from where he was sitting incredibly close to Bright, despite the large sofa, to greet her.

“Yeah, nice to meet you, P’Win,” She says, lips forming a huge smile, mimicking Win’s welcoming one.

Bright stands up and comes to join both of them in the middle of the room, an easy smile on his face. His left-hand settles on the small of Win’s back, while his right hand extends out to her. “I’m Bright.” She stores their closeness and touches in her mind for later as she takes his hand in hers and shakes it. “I’m Tu, nice to meet you.”

Bright smiles but doesn’t say anything else, she notices him squeezing the side of Win’s waist before going back to sit on the couch. She’s unsure of what to do, she was sure she had only to impress one person, and now there were two- “Come here, sit with us.” Win said, motioning her to follow before sitting down next to Bright. She sat close to the edge of the sofa, with Bright in the middle of it and Win sitting sideways so he could face her. “How you feeling?” He asked.

It was irresistible not to smile at Win, not when he’s looking at you with nothing but kindness and warmth. This is maybe what people meant when they said Win just had a certain charm to him. “I-I’m good? A little bit nervous” She asked, though it came more as a question.

Win laughed. “Understandable. It is your first series right?” She noticed that Bright turned his head to look at her as well.

She gulped. “It is. I hope we can all get along well.”

Win smiled, “I’m sure we will.” From then, the conversation went along smoothly between them, though she noticed that it was mostly just Win and her talking, with Bright chiming in here and there. It was easy to talk to Win, he never seemed to run out of things to ask or discuss. Somewhere after 15 minutes of talking, Tu watched as Bright lifted his arm and put it on the back of the sofa, and Win unconsciously leaned in closer to snuggle closer to Bright’s side. She then noticed Win’s hand was on Bright’s thigh - was it there the whole time? Just how close were these two?

Suddenly, a knock came from outside the door and one of the staff popped his head in. “Win, P’eed’s looking for you.”

“Ah, that’ll be my queue to leave and Thyme and Gorya to get friendly,” He said, standing up and was about to leave when Bright grabbed his hand. “Don’t take too long. Come back here,” He said.

“Big baby,” Win laughed, caressing Bright’s hand gently.

“I’m serious,” Bright outright whined.

“I will, I will!” Win said, laughing, pink tinting his cheeks. He looked unbelievably happy.

“Nice meeting you again, Tu,” He looked at her and looked at Bright again, with something different and fond, and affectionate in his eyes. “I’ll see you later, Vachirawit.”

Huh. Interesting.

….

The director tells the both of them to start hanging out before they shoot in a few weeks, help build the chemistry they said and now Tu finds herself meeting up with Bright in coffee shops every other day to just talk and hang out. This is the first time, however, that Bright invites her over to his apartment. She stands awkwardly in front of the door to his penthouse, waiting for him to answer the doorbell. They’re just going to talk and joke around as always, but it’s different now because this is his home and it’s secluded and -

“Hey,” Bright says as he answers the door. His hair is disheveled, remnants of sleep still in his eyes and he’s still wearing pajamas. “Sorry, I just woke up not too long ago.”

“To be fair, I’ve tried to wake him up since 8, Tu,” A voice says from inside and when Bright lets her in inside, she’s surprised to see Win in the kitchen, cooking eggs casually.

“P’Win’s here?” She blurted out, not that she doesn’t want him there or isn’t pleased - Win always makes her laugh the hardest when they meet - she’s just surprised he’s here at Bright’s apartment at 10 in the morning.

“Why wouldn’t he be?” Bright answers, looking at her like she just asked the dumbest question. “He lives here.”

“Wait, don’t you live here?” She asks again, tilting her head to the side.

“Yes..” Bright says slowly like he’s talking to some simple-minded creature.

Is she missing something here?

“Have you had breakfast, Tu? I’m making him an omelet if you want one as well,” Win asks, interrupting her thoughts.

“Uh, I already had some at home,” She answers, still a bit dumbfounded.

“He makes the best omelets” Bright nods to himself, confirming the knowledge. He walks over the kitchen island to where Win is standing in front of the stove and stands next to him, arms coming up easily to circle around his waist. “You sure you don’t want one?”

She shakes her head in response, feeling somewhat like she’s intruding on something too intimate for her to see as she watches the both of them talk lowly near the stove.

“Oh, you can just sit there, Tu,” Win said when she was quiet for quite a while, pointing to the high stool on the kitchen island. “Bright will get you something to drink,” He says, looking pointedly at Bright and shoving him lightly towards where they keep their glasses.

“Right,” Bright says, chuckling a little. “Sorry, Tu, I’m bad at hosting people, that’s more of Win’s forte,”

“It’s no problem, really,” She answers, as Bright sets a glass of water in front of her.

“You need help, Win?” Bright asked and what?

“Nah, I’m almost done now,” Win said a smile on his face.

It wasn’t long after that Win came with two plates in his hand, and placed one in front of her full with an omelet and sausages. “In case you change your mind,” He winked.

He sat down next to Bright in front of her, placing it in front of him. “Thanks for the meal,” He said, rubbing Win’s back briefly before digging in. “Mmmmm, delicious,” He says with his mouth full of eggs.

Win shakes his head fondly, “Don’t talk with your mouth full,” He says, even though his cheeks are tinted with a pleasant pink now.

Conversation flows easily with Win around. Things are definitely less awkward with Bright now after a few meetings and she can confidently say that they’re friends now but with Win around, everything just seems lighter. He’s a talkative person for one, but it seems that there’s something about Win that also brings out a side of Bright she isn’t used to seeing before. This Bright in front of her is all soft smiles and easy laughs. He jokes around more often, and everything about him screams contentment. She’s not entirely sure if it’s because he’s in his own home or it’s more of the fact that he has win beside him.

“I hope you don’t mind I asked you to meet here,” Bright says, after 30 minutes of them talking at eating, plates clean of Win’s omelets. They really were good. “I’ve been leaving this one alone too much, so I thought we’d all spend the day together” Bright explains, pointing at Win.

“Bright,” Win whines, swatting the finger that was pointed at him. Huh, he doesn’t call him P’Bright? Tu thinks to herself. “I told you I’m fine,”

“Well, maybe I’m the one who misses you,” Bright shrugs, smiling widely at the blush he gets in return.

“We see each other every day,” Win mumbles, “I live with you,”

“Doesn’t stop me from missing you,” Bright answers plainly.

“Oh, sweet talker,” Win says, pinching Bright’s side. Grinning, when Bright lets out a yelp. “Tu-“ Win starts to say but is drowned out by the thoughts in her head telling her that maybe there’s something more between these two.

After a couple of weeks of shooting, it’s becoming more clear to Tu, that those two are definitely not just friends.

It’s clear as a bright sunny day that they seek each other out more than anyone in the crew, they have different smiles when they’re around another, and it’s the casual, soft caresses they give to another when they think that no one is looking.

No one treats it as something bizarre, they don’t even bat an eye at them, not even Dew and Nani who’s just as new as her.

“Are you gonna join us for soccer later?” Nani asks Bright when they were all - except for Win who was shooting a scene with Prim - sitting together at lunch.

“Can’t,” He answers, absentmindedly scrolling through his phone. “Dinner with the wife’s family.”

Nani nods in understanding while Tu asks in bewilderment “Wife?”

“Yes, wife.” Bright answers unhelpfully, looking at her like she’s the confusing one. He’s been staring at her a lot like that lately.

She was about to open her mouth to ask more questions when suddenly Win joins them, dropping his bag on the chair and sitting next to Bright. “Hey,” he says, to all of them and then, “Oh, I want that,” before taking pieces of french fry out of Bright’s plate and stuffing his mouth full with them.

Bright just looks at him and shakes his head, a fond smile on his face. “Hungry?”

“Always,”

“Figures,” Bright laughs and pushes a takeaway box infant of Win. “Bought some lunch for you,”

“You’re the best,” Win says, eagerly digging into his lunch. Then, sitting up straight like he just remembered something he asked, “Did mom text you the place for dinner?”

Bright hummed. “Yeah, it's a 20-minute drive from here, I checked.”

“I just hope there’s no traffic,” Win sighs.

The boys got into an easy conversation after that, but Tu is still silent. Her mind is reeling with this new information. Bright calling someone his wife and saying he had dinner with his wife’s family, Win asking if his mom texted him the address for dinner, which means-

“You’re dating?” She exclaims out of nowhere, startling everyone around the table.

Bright and Win looked at her, looked at each other, and then looked at her again.

“Wait, I thought you knew?” Win asks, tilting his head to the side like she’s the confusing one.

“No, I didn’t!” She says, throwing her hands, exasperated. “Nobody told me!”

“To be fair,” Dew chimes in, “They didn’t tell me either. I just knew.”

“W-what?” She squeaks, disbelief evident in her voice. “How could you know?”

“I mean, it’s obvious they’re dating,” Nani says, gesturing to the both of them like it’s the simplest thing in the world.

“Well, I didn’t know!” She says again. “I-I thought they were just really good bro’s or something..”

“Tu,” Bright says slowly like he’s explaining things to a toddler. “Win literally lives with me.”

“Best friends do that all the time!”

“I call him Vachirawit or Bright, not P’Bright,” Win adds. Bright nods, “I call him baby.”

“I-I just thought you were really close!”

“He called P'Win his wife,” Dew said.

“I didn’t know he was referring P’Win!”

“They’re really touchy with each other,” Nani added again.

“I-“

“Tu,” Bright says. “Remember after we shot the kissing scene and I wiped my mouth because your lipstick got all over me and you apologized? I said it was fine because I just was so used to kissing Win who doesn’t use lipstick.”

“I thought you meant when you were filming 2gether the series!”

“He kisses me all the time,” Win supplies with a shrug.

“Too often sometimes,” Nani cringes slightly while Bright just looks smug.

“S-so it’s not just fan service?” She asks.

“Of course, do you see any fans around here?” Bright asks her back to which he receives a light slap on the arm from Win.

“Don’t be a dick, she genuinely didn’t know,” Win rolled his eyes at him. “But yes, we are dating. We started dating not long after the series ended and I’ve been stuck with him ever since.”

“You say it like it’s a bad thing, babe-“

“We didn’t tell you because we just thought you knew. I mean, we weren’t exactly hiding it and everyone here knows anyway.”

“Do the fans know?” She asks suddenly.

“Nah,” Win answers. “Not yet anyway. They’ll figure it out sooner or later.”

“Huh,” is all she says for a while. Then, a bright smile slowly crept up on her face. “I didn’t know how I didn’t notice it, but you two look really good together.”

“Oh, we know.” Bright answered at the same time as Win answered “You think so?”

Bright laughed, putting his arm around Win’s waist and pulling him close, kissing his cheek with his nose. “Of course, we do.”
