Mo Ran mumbled a bit, eyes fluttering open now and then as Chu Wanning manipulated his body to get him off the ground. He could only catch a few words like “what” and “off” and he half-way wondered if he was doing someone else’s job, if Mo Ran was simply waiting for an entourage of his friends to come spilling out of the bar after him. Never once though had Chu Wanning ever heard another pair of stumbling footsteps alongside Mo Ran’s in the hallway, never heard anyone responding to the rambling comments that floated through Chu Wanning’s wall.
