Music was very important to Kyouka, so when Eri told her that she wanted to learn how to play an instrument the rocker girl was beyond happy.
“You really want to learn how to play music, Eri?” asked Kyouka, her eyes shining in joy.
The little white-haired girl nodded. “Yes, Mama! I want to make music like you do!”
Kyouka brought her little one into a tight hug before the two went off to find Izuku, which they then dragged him off to the mall where the music store was. The small family currently stood in front of the music store, Eri holding onto both of her parents’ hands.
Izuku looked up at the store with a look of confusion before turning to his girlfriend. “I’m happy and supportive that Eri wants to learn how to play an instrument, but couldn’t we have asked Yaoyorozu-san to make an instrument instead? You know how much she likes to spoil Eri.”
“That’s part of the reason why I didn’t ask her, Izu-kun. That and I’m trying to not rely on Yaomomo all the time if I need something,” replied Kyouka. She then looked down to Eri with a smile. “You ready, sweetie?”
“Yes, Mama!”
The small family headed inside, where Eri’s eyes widened at the multitude of instruments to choose from. Slightly overwhelmed, she clung to her Papa’s leg.
“It’s okay, Eri,” said Izuku, patting her on the head to calm her down. “Your Mama will help you choose the right instrument for you.”
Though hesitant, Eri let go of her Papa’s leg and let Mama lead her around the store.
“Th-There’s so many,” said Eri, staying close to Kyouka.
“Yes there is, sweetie. And just like you, me, and Papa, each instrument has their own little family,” stated Kyouka. She smiled when the six-year-old looked up at her with wide eyes.
“Really?”
“Yup. There’s the woodwind family, which has flutes, saxophones, and clarinets. The brass family has the likes of trumpets, trombones, and tubas. The percussion family would be your drums, cymbals, and the triangle. The keyboard family has the piano, which is what your Momo-obachan plays. And lastly you have the string family with the guitar, which is my specialty,” explained the rocker girl, excited to be teaching her daughter about music.
“Wow!” said Eri, genuinely awed. She then turned to Izuku. “Papa, do you know how to make music?”
“Ano, n-no, Eri. Y-Your Mama is the only one with musical talent between the two of us,” replied the cinnamon roll, rubbing the back of his head in embarrassment.
Being the child she was, Eri accepted that. Kyouka on the other hand looked at Izuku with a narrowed look. Her earphone jacks picked up that he was lying just now. Did he really know how to play an instrument and never told her? She’d get her answers later. Right now, Eri needs an instrument.
“So Eri, which instrument would you like to learn first? Do you want to play guitar like Mama or do you want to play something else?”
Eri looked around at all of the instruments until her eyes landed on a specific one. She pointed at it, causing her parents to sweatdrop. This was unexpected.

Some time later, back at the dorms, Class 1-A watched in stunned confusion as Eri tried to play an instrument twice her size. The low, deep sounds that came from it as Eri blew into the mouthpiece greatly contradicted the little musician’s appearance.
The resident fluffy alien turned to the parents with a teasing grin. “So the tuba, huh?”
Kyouka let out a sigh. She had really hoped that Eri would want to follow in her footsteps and pick the guitar first. “That’s what Eri wanted.”
“And she just seemed so happy and excited. How could we have said no?” added Izuku, scratching his cheek with his finger.
“But it’s the tuba. Not really the coolest of instruments,” stated Kaminari. This earned him a jab from an earphone jack. “Ow!”
“Shut up, Jamming Yay! If Eri wanted the play the tuba, then I’m going to support her, damn it!” hissed out Kyouka as she glared at the electric blond. “Got a problem with that?”
“No, ma’am!” squeaked out Kaminari with a whimper.
“Good!”
It was then that Eri stopped play and turned to her parents, more specifically her Papa.
“Papa! You should learn to make music too! That way you, me, and Mama can all play together!” she said with a squeak.
At that, Kyouka was reminded that she needed to have a talk with her boyfriend. She turned to her boyfriend with a narrowed look, causing him to become confused.
“We need to talk, Izuku.”
“…About what exactly?”
The purple-haired girl then turned to her best friend. “Yaomomo, can you watch over Eri for a bit while Izuku and I talk in private?”
“Of course, Kyouka,” replied the raven-haired beauty with an assuring smile.
Kyouka spoke to her daughter next. “Eri, your Papa and I need to run on a quick errand, so listen to your Momo-obachan until we get back, okay?”
“Okay!”
With that taken care of, Kyouka grabbed Izuku’s hand and dragged him out of the dorms. Once they were far enough away so no one could listen in on them, Kyouka spoke.
“I want the truth, Izuku.”
The boy grew even more confused. “Kyouka, I honestly have no idea what you’re talking about right now.”
“Earlier, when we were at the music store and Eri asked if you played an instrument, you lied to her,” replied Kyouka, narrowing her eyes at him once more.
Izuku blushed in embarrassment. He had forgotten that his girlfriend’s Quirk could detect lies. Then again, he had always been a truthful person, so it was never something he worried about.
“W-Well, it’s j-just…”
“If you knew how to play an instrument, we could have had you in the band, Izu-kun.”
He shook his head rapidly. “N-No! Th-That would have been a bad idea!”
“And why is that, Izu-kun?” demanded the rocker girl, placing her hands on her hips.
“F-For one thing, I’m n-not really g-good at playing it,” said Izuku, looking away. “S-Secondly, th-the instrument I p-play d-doesn’t really fit in a rock band.”
That got Kyouka’s attention as she raised an eyebrow in curiosity. “Then what instrument do you play?”
“…”
“Izuku.”
“Th-Th f-flute…I play the flute.”
Somehow, Kyouka was both surprised and not surprised at this. She was surprised that Izuku could play an instrument to begin with, yet not surprised that it was the flute as the flute just…fit him.
“You do know you’ll have to play for me now, right?”
“E-Eh?!” yelped out the greenie, his eyes widened in fear. “N-No! I can’t do that!”
She reached up to grab his face, allowing her to look him right in the eyes. “Izu-kun, I know it might be scary playing in front of others. Trust me, I know that feeling very well, but if I was able to over come my stage fright then I know you can do the same. Besides, don’t you want to make Eri happy?”
“Of course I do,” replied Izuku, the tension he felt melting away both at Kyouka’s touch and the mention of their daughter.
“Then will you play? For us?”
“…Hai, I’ll play for you.”
With a smile, Kyouka moved her arms to wrap around her man’s neck as she then stood on her tiptoes to kiss him on the lips.
“I love you, Izu-kun.”
“I love you, Kyouka, you and Eri. Come on, if I’m going to play I’ll need to get my flute from my room.”
As they headed back, Kyouka couldn’t fight the excitement of hearing her man play.

Class 1-A was confused once more when Izuku had come down from his room, carrying a case of some kind. They watched as the greenie sat next to his daughter and opened up the case, pulling out a flute much to their surprise. Before any of them could question this, he started playing.
Eyes widened and jaws dropped at the beautiful melody that was coming from the class cinnamon roll. Why in the world was he hiding this talent from the world?!
When he finished his little concert, Izuku turned to look at Eri, who stared at him with big red eyes.
“That was so pretty, Papa!” exclaimed the child.
Izuku blushed and rubbed the back of his head. “R-Really? To be honest, I don’t think I’m that good at it.”
“Are you kidding me?!” exclaimed Kyouka, making Izuku and Eri jump. “That was amazing, Izu-kun! How the hell could you think otherwise?”
“Kyouka’s right, Midoriya! That was beautiful!” added Momo. Everyone else gave similar opinions.
“Play some more, Midori!” exclaimed Mina.
“Yeah, Midori-bro! Play some more!”
Peer pressure got the better of Izuku in this moment. “O-Okay, if y-you guys insist.”
Izuku started to play a new melody as everyone gathered around and sat down to listen to the soothing notes. Kyouka sat on the other side of Eri, placing the little girl between her parents. Blushing slightly as she listened to Izuku perform, the shy rocker had only one thought.
‘Oh, he’s going to get it tonight for keeping this from me.’
