“i- i’m sorry saiki”
you were standing in the rain. only wearing a shirt and jeans. saiki looked on in fake despair.
‘what is it?’
you didn’t bother answering as your thoughts swirled with screaming figures. words of self hate and words of your parents flowing to the forefront. screaming at eachother, contempt looks to her. he grimaced. again?
you stood in the rain, eyes staring at your bare feet.
“well? are you going to come inside? don’t get the floor wet.”
you smiled gratefully before being stopped by his hand on your shoulder.
‘on second thought, i’ll just grab a towel.’
and up he went to the stairs. assuming he didn’t want to waste his teleportation, you were still standing in the rain. but you didn’t mind. saiki could take as long as he wanted.
the rain was cold. your body shivered. why were you out here again? oh yeah. your parents are fighting again. again and again. and now your dad is probably leaving. and it’s all your fault.
it’s all your fault.
it’s all your fault.
it’s all your-
‘your thoughts are going to give me a headache’
you looked up and saw him beckoning you to come in from the side with a deadpan expression. you mustered up a light smile as you took the towel from his hand. muttering a thanks, you stepped inside and dried yourself off. you followed saiki into his room as he pulled out clothes for you to wear.
you slipped into the bathroom and dried yourself off to the best of your abilities. putting on the clothes, you admired the basic nature. light purple sweater and some black sweatpants. you smile mischievously before hugging yourself.
‘mmmmm. smells like saiki~’
‘think another thought like that and i am personally leaving you back outside’
you laughed. he almost lifted a side of his mouth at that before it ended abruptly. you entered his room and immediately saw that a futon was out and saiki was already in bed. as you sat down, saiki flicked off the lights.
laying on the soft comforter, her eyes adjusted to the darkness. her mind also adjusted to the darkness. back to them. why were they fighting? oh yeah, it’s you.
the tears built up in your eyes.
i’m sorry mother. i’m sorry father. i don’t want you to leave me.
your face tried to keep still as the tears leaked down your cheeks.
please don’t leave me. i’m sorry. i just want you to be better.
a hand clamped over your mouth in hopes of shutting up.
i’m sorry father. i cant be strong for you mother. i’m sorry.
you bit your finger as you pulled your hair. this was torture. i hate myself, you screamed in your head. and suddenly, you felt your stomach drop. and now you felt heat pressed up against you. you look to the side and see barely visible green glasses staring back at you.
you almost fell off the bed before he pulled you back closer to him.
‘i’m never going to sleep if you’re like this.’
you hiccuped a few times before replying, “i- i’m sorry saiki.”
he stared at you for a moment before reaching his hand out. you had shoved your finger back in your mouth to bite on. finger by finger, he slowly enveloped your hand in his. he used his telekinesis to lift the blanket so it was over both of you. he tapped his fingertips along the ridges between each of your fingers.
before intertwining his hand with yours.
you had squeezed your eyes shut, not allowing yourself to enjoy the moment. you didn’t deserve to. why should you? you were being such a bother. i’m sorry saiki. i’m sorry saiki. i’m sorry saiki.
‘you’re annoying.’
your apologies only increased as you tried to pull away from his hand. he was silent for a moment. you couldn’t see frown on his face or the discontentment in his eyes. he didn’t mean for this.
and your stomach dropped once again. you could feel a wall pressed on your back. your hand still intertwined with his, his hand squeezed tighter. you opened your eyes just before his other hand snakes around your waist. pulling himself closer to you, he buried his nose in your neck. so terrifyingly close. you wouldn’t let up though, you were as stiff as a board. you’d be blushing your face off, if you weren’t trying to hiccup back the embarrassed tears. you were about to send out a wave of apologies in your mind before two words were spoken into your mind.
‘it’s fine.’
blinking your eyes multiple times, you were confused. and slowly but surely you let your other arm wrap around his back. you let your legs mix with his. your face now buried in his chest. his thumb rubbing circles into your hand. you sobbed into his shirt. your thought were not apologies anymore but still haunted ones of your parents. you cried a lot, but it would have been a lot worse if he didn’t comfort you. and the tears stopped. and he could feel the dead weight and your light snores.
he debated moving you off of him. he really should. his parents could walk in. maybe he’d fall off the bed. then hed move back a bit and he could see your tear stained face. you had completely crashed. good thing it was a sunday tomorrow. he felt his heart twinge at the sight of it.
he removed his hand from your waist and bended down to your peaceful face. he hesitated. but his hand found your face and caressed your cheek. his lips pressed against your forehead. and then on your cheeks. one on your nose. one just above your lips. his lips hesitated before he made contact with yours. it was intoxicating. your lips were dry. probably the amount of water you had cried had been vast. he wished you were awake. but you were peacefully sleeping. but while his lips were pressed up against yours, he felt the lips push back against his.
he almost blew up the house, did he wake you up? this is extremely embarrassing. but your eyes didn’t flicker open. he had pecked your lips again and again. and finally, after one long kiss. you smiled into it.
a peaceful smile. a happy smile. a content smile. and you buried yourself back into his chest.
he straightened back his body and breathed in your hair. it was murky in rainwater but he could smell you. he pulled his hand back from your face and wrapped it back around your waist. he decided he didn’t want you to move and pulled you tighter to him. you had snuggled against him. he felt his lips turn upwards. your hand resting in his. your legs tangled with his. his arm wrapped around you. your arm wrapped around him. his face buried in your hair and your face buried in his chest. normal people were so difficult but..
he didn’t mind this.
yeah...
he definitely didn’t mind this.
