"Beidou!!" Amber waves at Beidou who simply smiles. "What have you been up to?"
"Nothing yet. I really just wast late today." Beidou shrugs as both Amber and Mona sit down with her.
"Slept late?" Amber asks.
"Yeah. Was checking out my favourite streamer's live." She sighs. "Damn timezones."
Mona chuckles. "Can't you just watch them recorded?"
"No fun then. Live is more hectic." Beidou replies.
"Well, anyway." Amber grins at Beidou. "Guess what? The principal is in his room for the first time in 3 months."
"Oh?" Beidou and Mona say in sync.
"Yup. Yup. Lumine was telling." Amber says smugly. "He's here to check how the campus has been going without him."
"Ooo." Beidou smirks. "That room is like impossible to get into. If he's gonna be checking that means his security will be with him."
Beidou turns to Mona who raises an eyebrow, waiting for her to continue. "We could totally steal something hella valuable and sell it to one of those delinquents so they get caught."
"Hah? Delinquents??" Mona lets out a dry laugh. "That's what they call us, Beidou."
"Oh yeah?" Beidou turns and leans to Mona. "And you care?"
"Of course I do." Mona makes a face at Beidou who just smirks and leans back. "I'm trying to have a good reputation after all. Hmph."
"Well, you're hanging with the wrong person for that." Beidou gives a fake laugh.
"What do you mean?" Mona holds back a laugh. "You think you're bad or something? We all know that you're a big softie and everyone loves you."
Beidou grumbles but deep down it's true. Beidou does like being called a softie and that being told that she's loved. She was more than a troublemaker but it was just hard for her to show what was inside. Beidou was grateful to have friends who could actually see that. Just as Beidou smiled, the school bell rings.
"Huh? Already??" Mona grumbles. "Honestly, they give us 3 seconds to eat what? Air?"
Amber giggles at Mona's joke and Beidou stands up to stretch. The two continued to talk as Beidou continued to stretch. Beidou raises her head to see the school captain pass by the windows and right behind her was the principal.
"Jackpot." Beidou turns around to the other and quickly points up. "Look at who's with Ningguang."
"Oh my God... that means-!" Mona and Amber look at Beidou who was smirking.
"We gotta strike now," Beidou says quietly.
"But class?" Mona says worriedly.
"It's okay. I'll make sure we don't miss out on a lot. We have to do this now and quickly." Beidou grabs the two and drags them upstairs to the principal's room.
To their luck, Keqing, Lumine and the principal were standing a few rooms away. This meant Beidou's plan was going to work just fine.
"Amber, you're going to distract your girlfriend for at least 4 minutes. Mona and I will head in as soon as you get their attention. Make sure they are facing west. Mona will head in and grab the most valuable thing and pass it to me so I dash out and Mona doesn't look suspicious and you will head to your classes while I wait right next to the bathroom." They both nodded. "The faster and smoother we do this, the better."
After a couple more quick exchanges, Amber heads to the little group and starts a conversation with Lumine. Mona quickly heads into the principal's room and Beidou waits right behind the room's door. In a matter of seconds, Mona appears and hands Beidou a massive blue and white vase.
"A vase???" Beidou looks at Mona weirdly.
"Trust me this shit has to have a lot of value." Mona whispers.
"Grab something els-"
"Alright, GUYS. I'll be heading to class now." They suddenly hear Amber say.
"Crap. Go, go, go..!" Beidou whispers to Mona. Mona stops to look back at her before dashing out of the room.
Beidou quickly rolls out with the vase and heads into the bathroom but to her dismay, she bumps into the worst person she can bump into. Ningguang.
"Shit..!"
Beidou stumbles onto Ningguang who just stops her. They look at each other, eyes widened.
"What in the name of Earth are you doing with a vase??" Ningguang eyes her up and down.
"L-look I can explain..." Beidou panics as she looks back at the door and Ningguang.
"That vase looks familiar..." Then Ningguang's eyes widen before she frowns. "You stole it from the principal?! Hand it over right now!"
Ningguang tries to grab the vase only for Beidou to pull back but she pulled too hard. Beidou falls to the floor with the vase and as soon she hits the floor the vase breaks against her body. They both stare at the vase and start panicking.
"Y-You did this!!" Beidou points at Ningguang.
"Me?? You're the one who stole it!" Ningguang hisses.
"Oh my God, we're dead." Beidou starts to pick up the pieces.
"What the hell are you doing?! You're going to hurt yourself..!" Ningguang tries to stop her but she shrugs her off.
"What do you care if I get hurt!? You're going to snitch anyway, I need to get rid of the evidence so they don't believe you." Beidou scowls at Ningguang.
Ningguang feels a bit offended but it is true, she was going to do that. Suddenly, an idea flashes in her head. She pulls Beidou back.
"Stop trying to stop me-!"
"Leave it to me. I've got on gloves." Ningguang smiles at Beidou.
"What? Why are you trying to help me? You're not going to gain anything from this. What's your plan?" Beidou backs up with a frown.
"I won't speak of this if you listen to me carefully." Ningguang quickly picks up the pieces and puts them into her backpack. "Just to make sure you don't try to escape my deal, I'll keep the evidence."
"No way in hell! You're going to use me! I'm not a slave and I won't be doing your dirty work!" Beidou barks back.
"Oh no. You won't be my slave. In fact, with this, I'll be respecting you." Ningguang puts her hand on her chin and grins. "You will be my girlfriend."
"What...?" Beidou looks at Ningguang like she had just said something utterly stupid. "What would you get out of dating me? You don't even like me??"
"It's because my parents won't leave me alone and keep trying to find me partners so if I already have, they can't say anything. Plus someone as reckless as you will be a great help indeed. You don't need to worry about the details." Ningguang closes in on Beidou.
Suddenly, she slams her hand on the wall and presses up against Beidou. "This is nothing but a fake relationship. You will not be revealing that it's fake to anybody. Or else, I'll make sure you perish." Ningguang whispers into Beidou's ears.
Beidou feels a terrible shiver go down her spine as she Ningguang chuckles. "Good girl." Suddenly, Ningguang presses a kiss to Beidou's cheek.
"Just follow what I do and there will be no problems." Ningguang heads to the door before turning around and flashing a smile. "See you soon, sweetheart."
The door closes behind Ningguang and there's silence. Beidou falls down to the ground. Just what has she gotten herself into?!
