Inko isnt a bad mother, she raised her poor quirkless child and held him when he used to cry.
She fed him, gave him a roof, accepted him for his quirkless curse, stayed with him even though her husband left her.
Inko is a good mother, working double shifts to pay rent, and even if she didnt attend any of the teacher-parent conferences she still gave her Izu a place to stay.
Inko is not a bad mother, shes good. She doesnt push Izuku, doesnt get angry that much when he keeps mumbling, she doesnt hurt him- maybe a slap or two but not that hard!
Inko is a single parent with a child deemed worthless to society so you can imagine how hard it is for her.
So when she sometimes get off from work and fake still being at work, head to a hotel and mess around for a few days, who can blame her? And when she sometimes just doesnt pay attention to her son becuase she is so tired she cant even cook. Izuku can do it, Inko provided him so much so he can give back just alittle, right?
And when Inko doesnt talk about Izuku, instead immediately changing the subject when asked, ignoring the bruises that he tries to hide when he comes back from school,
Storming his room in search for anything, making excuses to why she cant go to some stupid event at school, or being too 'busy' to accompany him on his birthday- shes's still a good mom, he's to old for celebrating things like that anyway.
Inko isnt a bad mother, so why is it that he's so scitterish around her? Walking on eggshells like shes a bomb about to explode? It made her mad, how dare he act like that when she had provided so much for him?! Even if he was quirkless!?
So Inko booked a flight. Packed her bag and went to America, to spend some time there for awhile. She wouldnt leave him behind of course, that brat would complain to someone and would get her in trouble.
She needed a break, and she deserved one!
She left 2 months of money, and since hes a small kid it would be fine to leave him for 6 months with that much.
So yes, Inko is a good mom.
Except she knows shes lying.
