Season 1 Neverland AU.
Emma is still trying to adjust to her new life as Sheriff of Storybrooke and mom to Henry, who still believes everyone in town is a fairytale creature. When she finds a badly beaten, one handed man while patrolling, she's convinced he's crazy. he is, after all, rambling about fairies and shadows and crocodiles. But when Henry is suddenly taken by what Emma swears (but can't believe) was a shadow, the madman in the hospital might be her only hope of getting her son back. Whether he likes it or not. -

Ch 18
Truly so freaking good!! The Neverland worldbuilding is absolutely incredible, so amazing, and I love all of the characters so much. Definitely subscribing in case the muse returns and life allows. It's super fun to see a Neverland AU with a Hook who just left it, and Wendy and Will are great, as are the smaller characters like Tink and Tiger Lilly. Emma going through this development (magic + discovering herself) without the additional pressure of Henry, Regina or her parents is really interesting too.
