Chapter Text
Jotaro did not know why he agreed to come with Polnareff to this dingy pub. He could be home asking his servant to bring him wine so he could spend the night alone working in his study. Instead he is watching his best friend down his sixth pint of beer.
“So, am I only here to watch you drown yourself in alcohol?” grumbled Jotaro.
“Of course not!” barked out Polnareff as he slammed down his now empty pint. “You my friend need to have more fun and not be as caged up in that fancy study of yours. Oh don't look at me like that, you know I'm right.”
Jotaro silently glared at the whitehaired man and sipped his beer, “You're wrong. I don't need to be in a loud dingy pub to have fun. Besides I have important work to do.”
“You are a very shitty liar Jotaro. You weren't going to do shit and you know it,” Polnareff glared back and ordered another round of beer for his companion and himself. “Listen, your Uncle Jonathan is expecting you to find a wife soon, right? So why not take this as a chance to look around, socialize a bit, who knows maybe you'll find someone interesting.”
“Anyone I find here Jonathan would immediately disapprove of,” deadpanned the dark haired man.
“Tough crowd. I'm giving you options here and youre just giving me excuses,” Polnareff faked a pained expression and downed his seventh pint of beer. “This place isn't alive enough, we need to start having fun.”
“Dont.”
“Hey waitress! A round of drinks for the entire pub, bills on me!” That certainly got the attention of the rest of the patrons who let out a loud cheer. The drunkards came over to cheer Polnareff on, as the pub roared to life.
Drinking at a random bar in the middle of town was not Jotaro’s idea of fun. Yet watching Polnareff rile everyone up was nice. He couldn’t help but enjoy himself a little. Besides he was right, Uncle Jonathan was expecting him to take a wife soon and assume some of the responsibilities of the household. Jotaro didn’t mind taking on some of the responsibilities, hell he would welcome it. His mother, Holly, had been running the Kujo estate on her own for a while so it would be good to be able to help her. The thought of getting a wife on the other hand made his skin crawl. Any woman who tried to get his attention always said the same thing: he's cold and indifferent to the idea of marriage. It wasn’t his fault that the women he was expected to wed were boring and full of empty flattery.
A particularly loud cheer broke Jotaro out of his thoughts. Suddenly he was back in the bar, watching his best friend Polnareff dance on top of a table with a woman he’d never seen before. She didn’t look like she was from here. He continued to drink his beer of which he had lost track of how many he's had. As he put his pint down he saw her. The most beautiful redhead he had ever seen. The redhead wore a green dress that complimented her hair beautifully. She didn’t seem to be accompanied by anyone and was drinking alone. Jotaro felt an urge he’s never felt before, he needed to talk to this mystery woman. As he got up and began approaching the woman, he began to feel this was a bad idea. Then she looked up at him with rich amethyst eyes and he was left completely speechless. She has beautiful eyes .
“Are you just gonna just stand in front of me, staring?” the redhead told Jotaro.
He pulled down his hat to hide his embarrassment at his loss for words. He silently sat down and ordered another round for the two. The redhead looked at him questioning his actions. Hopefully some liquid confidence will help Jotaro. “You shouldn’t be alone at a place like this.”
The redhead let out a laughter and Jotaro felt he was short circuiting. “Oh yeah? And you shouldn’t be approaching a lady and sitting at her table without having even said a word,” she took a sip from her drink. “Add to that you bought me a drink, so you’re clearly not that against me being here.”
Jotaro felt like ice cold water had been splashed on him. He had not been expecting that kind of response from the redhead. He was thinking she would giggle and say something empty. But she didn't. He liked that. “Well what are you doing at a place like this?”
“Can’t a lady get a drink without being questioned?” The redhead let out a small giggle, “I’m just enjoying a bit of freedom before my life changes too much.”
“I can understand that. Though I’m not here of my own free will.” Jotaro pointed towards the white haired man drinking pint number god knows of beer, “That’s the guy I was supposed to be with all night. But he had other ideas.”
“He seems like good company though.”
“Never said he wasn’t. All I’m saying is that I wished he could hold back on the drinking a bit so that we could make it home in one piece.” Another giggle and Jotaro felt his heartbeat speed up and cheeks flush. He drank some more of his beer, what number was he on again?
“Would you like to dance?”
“What?”
“I said, would you like to dance?”
“I don’t dance” Jotaro deadpanned.
“I’m sure you don’t but won’t you make an exception for me?” the redhead looked up expectantly at the noirette. Those big amethyst eyes shined at Jotaro.
How could Jotaro say not to that face? He finished his pint, got up and extended his hand at her. The redhead gave him a beaming smile. He felt like he was looking at the sun. She was going to be the death of him.
She was a good dancer and Jotaro just followed along like a little puppy dog. He let himself loosen up as the night kept going and the drinks kept flowing. At some point Polnareff and his mystery girl joined them. At another point he built up the courage to kiss her, he was sure he was drunk out of his mind. She must’ve been too, because she kissed him back. She tasted like cheap beer and Jotaro couldn’t get enough of her. They left the bar and went to an inn at some other point. He remembers creamy thighs and sweet moans. That was the last thing he knew of the night, when he woke up the next morning in a random bed with a pounding headache. He looked around hoping to find her sleeping next to him but the mystery woman was gone. All she left Jotaro was silky red hair and light ghost touches. It made his headache worse. When he went down to ask the innkeeper if he'd seen her, all he could say was that she left very early in the morning in a hurry without a word. Oh and she left Jotaro the bill. Cheeky woman. As he paid he realized that he didn’t even know her name. Jotaro groaned, guess that meant she didn’t want to be found. As he got in his carriage, the noirette decided he was going to forget her. People had flings all the time, especially nobles. He didn’t want to forget her but it’s not like she gave him a choice.
