    In hindsight, the role of Goblin would have fit Wei Wuxian more with the countless deaths he’d caused in the Sunshot Campaign. The Grim Reaper would have also been more fitting for the cold Lan Wangji who didn’t want to be touched and likes to brew tea. Jiang Fengmian would have made a great keeper, Jin Ling would have fit the role of spoiled heir, and Jiang Yanli would have taken our hearts with her when she died. The thing is, people familiar with both stories would know where this is going, if it was written that way. Well, it’s not. For one, Wei Wuxian is the Grim Reaper, Lan Wangji is the Goblin, there are murders, and maybe there is one death the Goblin can’t remember.
