Summary
Death has coveted Eleanor Potter since that fretful night in 1981 when she somehow, someway managed to escape its grasps. Eleanor can feel Death's gaze upon her, stalking her, inviting her to an early grave.
Fred Weasley is life. He is a breath of fresh air on a spring day, the feeling of a warm hearth on a cold night. He is cinnamon, sparks, and fireworks - explosive, sometimes startling, but full of emotion. Emotion that Eleanor Potter craved more than anything in the world.
You see, the problem with entities of death is that they can be quite greedy. As Eleanor already knows, death desires more than just what its owed. Eleanor Potter will do whatever it takes to keep those she loves safe. Especially one best friend in particular, of whom she's head over heels in love with, whether she wants to admit it to him or not.
There's only one problem: Eleanor Potter did something bad. Very bad. It had cost her everything but was it worth it? Would she ever be forgiven?
