Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

Prologue

Izuku Midioriya was the lightbulb in every room he walked into, and everyone in the room would agree. The bright moon on a dark night. He was a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day. He was a shining star in the dark abyss of the universe. But the clouds cover up the sun. No one can see it, and sadly in result, little Izuku would be invisible at the times he needed to be seen. The boy didn't have the best mental state, and he knew this, but he didn't want to be a burden to others so he kept quiet and smiled, though, it didn't work all the time. Some people noticed, they just didn't care enough to question the young boy's mood. A lot of people would just say he was having a bad day or he woke up on the wrong side of the bed, maybe they were right, but, most of the time they weren't.

The young boy had a 'photo family' as he'd like to call it; A family who was perfect in a still frame, a split second where the flash of the camera would be the only thing people saw, but there was a much much sadder, much more messed up side to his family that no one ever saw, including the closest family's towards them.

The boy was just as he was inside of the 'home' as he was outside, a sweet, caring, loveable boy, but his parent were another beast. His mother, a reflection of her son with other people around, but was the opposite in reality. She never really cared for Izuku per say, she fed him yeah, but didn't do much to benefit him, but that wasn't the problem. She didn't care about Izuku, she couldn't care less to be quite frank. She verbally abused the poor boy before he could walk, and she wasn't sympathetic what so ever. It went on for as long as he could remember. One time he tripped when he was 2 and the response was the earliest insult he remembers, "Aww, the useless thing can't walk for shit, what am I supposed to do with it then. You know, you're just like your grandmother's food, no one really likes it, they just eat it to make her feel better, but not everyone eats it. Some have the balls to go up to her and tell her that she's fucking terrible at cooking, and you know what, you're terrible food." But it didn't stop when he started talking and comprehending all of the terrible things coming out of her mouth. In fact, it got worse. When he would ask for help on a problem for homework, "You dumbass! You can't figure out a simple problem! You're an absolute fucking idiot, I don't understand how your my child you disgrace. You know what, why am I even surprised at this point, you can't do shit right. You quirkless stupid little bitch! You should take a swan dive off a roof, it'll be better for everyone." There was this venom in her voice that was like a flood gate and a light switch at the same time, as if she had all this pent up rage and anger she let out on the one thing she had control over, the one thing that had no power over her. She would just switch on as soon as she saw her son, letting everything out. That meant the worse the day, the worse the verbal beating. When he was little she and his dad would beat him, then his kindergarten teacher brought up the fact the he was really 'clumsy' and went to school each day with fresh bruises and cuts, by then they learned there lesson- too not beat their kid physically.

Izuku's dad was a whole other story. He would be the loving, caring father outside of their house, but as soon as he got home he went to the fridge, grabbed a beer, and went to his study. This might sound like a decently normal parent, just a dad that needed to get work done right? No, unfortunately that was not the case. He wasn't a dad who needs a few hours to himself after a long day of work, he was a dad who didn't want a family- no, didn't want a kid bothering him. He heard all of the insults coming from his wife whom he loves and praises like a queen, a rude, ignorant, narcissistic queen, but he just didn't want to deal with a child, even if he was one of the sweetest kids known to man. Anytime little Izu would try to run up to his father for help because of his mom, or to just be a father, he would be disgusted, revolted even, to have a child on him. Mr.Midioriya only had a child for his wife's sake and for the sake of his image, nothing else.

 Katsuki

Katsuki is a, troubled kid to say the least. Ever since he was a child he had hard time expressing his emotions in a manner appropriate for the situation. Luckily, most of the people around him knew this and adapted to it and it worked out, but the main issue was when people didn't know this crucial fact ended up having people thinking he was a hot headed brat who was just in total, a big jerk, but that couldn't be farther from truth. The reality about the blonde boy was that he was really a kind and sweet little burst of joy to people who understood him, because he could be himself without the fear of being judged for one mistake.

Growing up Katsuki barely had any close friends, none of them could handle his explosive behavior and ended up abandoning him. It was sad truly, but this helped the young Katsuki realize that he couldn't rely on anyone except his family. But that also lead to other problems. He didn't trust anyone, but he let them think he did. This got him 'friends' that would blab to him about what was going on in class, homework, drama with the teachers, which he didn't really care about. Although all of this makes him seem lonely and friendless, he wasn't. He had his little secret, his true childhood friend, Izuku Midioriya. Though he was weak and quirkless, this didn't matter to Katsuki, he had someone he could talk to, laugh with, to be his true self with. He felt like a safe haven to Katsuki, safe from the outside world. Sadly, this didn't last long. When Katsuki and Izuku were in the 5th grade, something... happened. Something so wrong that caused Katsuki to lose his lifeline, his best friend, the person, though he was young, that he loved with all his heart and soul, that he would gladly switch places with.

Izuku Midioriya was abducted. Gone, and Katsuki hated this. He felt so many emotions, sadness, anger, disappointment, confusion, betrayal, he, eventually, decided to not feel anything. He completely shut down and turned off. He knew he had emotional management issues and with this sudden surplus of emotions, he couldn't handle it. He refused to get close to anyone after that, not friends, he became distant with his family, and he only let out his strongest emotion, anger. He was mad at the people that took his Deku, he was mad that they couldn't find his Deku, he was mad that he couldn't save his Deku, he was mad because the world didn't bat an eye. No one stopped to do anything, the sweet, kind, caring boy everyone loved, just gone one day and no one showed any emotions at all. When the funeral came along, Katsuki was adamant that he wasn't going to go. He knew his Izu was still out there, and once he watched them put that empty casket in the ground, he was admitting defeat and was telling himself he was dead, which was the last thing Katsuki would ever do.

Alright, first prologue done! Now I'm r eleasing Katsuki's right after this so no wait! His is way sweeter and less, depressing, but that's okay! Please correct me on spelling and grammar, I tried my best but that's not always the best of the best. Also, comment on anything and everything, it's a great help and I just really want to get to know y'alls humor so I can hopefully make light of this train wreck. Anywho, have a nice day/night/evening <3

Sincerely ~ Zucchini💚💛
