[Podfic] and i'm nothing like you

Summary:

Of all the people to have been kidnapped alongside, it had to be this person, this hero, the one person who would never blame him for the things he was forced to do.

“Don’t cry,” Midoriya says.

“F- you,” Hitoshi chokes out.

OR: When Hitoshi goes grocery shopping a few weeks after transferring to Class 2A, Izuku tags along. Because he is, for some reason, determined to be Hitoshi's friend. Hitoshi remains cold and withdrawn in the face of Izuku’s friendliness—until they’re kidnapped by a woman with a brainwashing quirk who believes Hitoshi belongs with her—not in the hero course.

I put my heart into this recording and I am extremely proud of it, so PLEASE tell me how that communicated, if at all!!!! Okay, now let's get down to business because I always end up writing crazy long A/Ns. Do you guys read these? Or no? If no, I'd still really like to know so I can either curb myself or use less wordy wording or etc. Metrics, y'know. I also like that this fic uses the Metric System, because Japan.

This story isn't necessarily Shindeku, but I'm putting it in my lineup for reasons. 1. I was going to record it anyways, b. Not everyone wants to have a romance-based story. Remember how I said that I didn't do as much prep as I planned to do? Which is funny on its own, but last night I whipped this up and I figured some of my listeners would find this as amusing as I do. It's becoming a mess. Here are my Shindeku Month roadmap release plan(s?) and I end up changing them about every 4 hours still lol: Page 1 and Page 2. Here are the original calendars.

Shindeku Month Prompt: Day 2, Hypnotherapy(Heh, get it? They're brainwashed and are gonna need therapy lol) Title is from Love Like You, and just looking at the first two lines of each stanza it fits so well(picking the lyrics I wanted was super hard klfgjddfgsfs and I still might change them).

If I could begin to do
Something that does right by you
I would do about anything

When I see the way you look
Shaken by how long it took
I would do about anything
I could even learn how to love like you

This fic reminds me of a number of others, and I know people like fic recommendations so here's where my thoughts go when I think about this one:

ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ Pro Hero Duo Hitoshi and Izuku in KrumbleKitty's Puppet Master. Their promise to be a duo is explored more explicitly than before in Chapter 58 and beyond, but it is prevalent from like Chapter 19(I likely won't podfic this work for various reasons).

I said this up top, but I put a lot of effort into engaging with the story and making the reading the best it could be, so I'd really like to know if you could tell? I felt like each speaker had a semi-distinctive cadence, without doing voices, and made it so you pretty much always knew who was saying what(even though this fic doesn't have any issues with that whoo). I tried to make Onaji freak you out(but not overacting ofc) or at least make her parts sinister and somewhat like HOLY CRAP SHE'S NUTS UHHHHHHH DON'T LIKE THAAATTTT NOPENOPENOPE. How'd I do? I really would love the feedback on this, please!! I'm using this podfic as tonal practice for both my RogueDruid project and for aconstantstateofbladerunner's Butterfly. ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
