Chapter Text
He’d never ask for a favor from his twin again. He’d said it since the day he murdered him. He wouldn’t ask him for anything. He wouldn’t speak of him. He wouldn’t speak to him. He’d never even look in Tsukasa's general direction.
But Yashiro has one year left.
And he wants nothing more than to spend the entirety of it by her side.
So to make that happen, he has to do what he has to do.
"Amane!" Tsukasa shouts, appearing suddenly in front of where Hanako is sitting on the windowsill in the bathroom. Hanako flinches, head snapping from looking out the window to meet his brother’s gaze. "Hello! It’s been forever, has it not? How long? Three months? Two years? Five years? Oh, yes! That’s right! I just saw you with that radish girl last week! How are you? How’s life—er—death treating you?"
"I'm... I’m fine, Tsukasa," Hanako says simply. He jumps down from the windowsill and takes a step towards his brother. "I need a favor."
Tsukasa gasps, cheerfully, "You do? From me?!"
He takes a step closer to Hanako, causing him to nervously tense up a bit. "Yes. From you." He says.
"Well, of course!" Tsukasa shouts, "Anything for you, Amane!"
Hanako hesitates, taking a deep breath. "I want to spend the remainder of Yashiro's life by her side," He says. "As a human."
"You want to be human?" Tsukasa asks.
"Yes. Only for the remainder of Yashiro's life," Hanako replies. "It’s my greatest wish."
"But Amane," Tsukasa starts, "The supernatural are banned from beco-
"I will accept any punishment," Hanako says, eyes pleading. "Curse me however you need to. Destroy my Yorishiro. This is my one and only wish, Tsukasa. I am begging you," Hanako drops to his hands and knees on the dirty bathroom floor. "Please."
"I see," Tsukasa smirks, walking over to his brother. He crouches down in front of him and grips his chin gently, forcing his head up so he can see his face. Hanako squeezes his eyes closed, shoulders tensing. "I will grant you your wish," He says. "However, you will suffer the consequences, Amane."
Hanako takes shaky breaths, feeling himself nod. "Your heart will stop promptly one hour after hers, your Yorishiro will be destroyed meaning you will no longer be the seventh wonder, and her illness," Tsukasa leans forward to whisper into his twin's ear. "It will be shifted to you."
Tsukasa pulls away and rises to stand, staring at Hanako who continues to shake on the floor at his feet.
"It has been nice seeing you Amane!" Tsukasa says with glee. "I hope to see you again soon!"
With that he disappears, leaving his brother on his hands and knees in the bathroom to think over what he’s been told.
