Summary
It’s ironic, he thinks, how bright his father burns. How his presence commands an entire room. How much of his life is occupied by him. Endeavor’s fire burns through them all, in flames, in anger, in the hurt they bring. He’s the reason Touya died, the reason his mother is locked up in a hospital and the reason Natsuo and Fuyumi could never have a proper family.
Shouto’s imagined his own undoing so many times. He often wonders, as Endeavor’s creation, if he’ll go up in flames, a spectacle for all to see, or if he’ll fizzle out in silence until there’s nothing left but ash. A masterpiece falling from grace. Sometimes he even wonders if one day he’ll burn himself up like Touya had. He imagines Endeavor’s reaction, as he once again conceals a dead Todoroki and continues to live without guilt for the children he destroyed.
In the end, his unravelling begins with a single drop of blood.
Alternatively: after moving into the dorms and finally learning how to relax, the years of abuse Shouto suffered at the hands of Endeavor finally start to catch up to him and he finds himself not knowing how to handle it.

Summary
Upon entering UA, Shoto's life is consumed by rage. His sole motivation lies in his loathing, using every opportunity he can to spite his father, even if he himself gets hurt in the process. But the sports festival comes and goes, and for the first time in a long time he's forced to wrestle with his own convictions. A talk with his new homeroom teacher leads him to start reevaluating what he wants out of his time at UA.

Shoto’s life had been a performance. A careful adherence to an impossible ideal, being the number one hero’s perfect prodigy. With that expectation and his incontestable traditional upbringing, he learns to suppress anything that society may not accept. As what was previously repressed makes itself unwilling to be ignored, he finds himself in a cage of mirrors. Summary
Shouto doesn't exactly have a passion for heroism. In fact at this point, he's just trying to get through UA minimally scathed and without being kicked out for his little drug problem. But after a chance encounter with the villain Dabi, more and more mysterious occurrences leave him feeling uneasy about his role in the League of Villains comeback. Strange bouts of silence blanket some of Shouto's most vulnerable moments, the people that are closest to him hint at mysterious forces or disappear. But the worst of it is yet to come--When Shouto encounters Dabi for a second time they are both faced with the most difficult choice they'll ever make.
or: The villain Dabi is an asshole and it doesn't exactly take a genius for Shouto to realize that this guy is going to kill him. The only problem: when push comes to shove Dabi chickens out and now the two of them are stuck together until they can figure out a solution that doesn't involve murder. Featuring Aizawa being tired, Shinsou being sick of everyones bullshit, Izu being gay, Hawks being in love, Sero and Denki being stoners and more
