Chapter Text
Chapter 1: Vegetable Ghost.
The sun was beautiful. It was starting to sunk low, slowly fading away as the purplish orange sheets eats away slowly at its wholeness, enveloping the horizon laid out in front of Gen's eyes. It wasn't a scene he had never scene before, infact he had seen this a hundred times already as he always leaves the school last due to some...reasons albeit he always find the scene so serene, calming and very soothing.
The corner of the boy's lips twitched upward. Resting his cheek on his palm, he turned his body sidewards fully facing the window as he watches the sun falls down and the purplish sky was replaced of an image of a perfectly young night sky. He glanced at his watch on his wrist before standing a little bit hesitantly at his chair.
𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘰 𝘩𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯, 𝘪𝘴𝘯'𝘵?
home doesnt sound appealing.
He slung his pack at his back as he exited his classroom. Gen was a senior at his school, a 3rd year. This was his last year being a high-school student. His last year at this school, his temporary haven. And soon enough he'd have to face a new chapter of his life, college. Gen isn't exactly the type of a student who doesn't have friends or those who's always alone. In fact he's one of the famous faces the school has, he even gained himself a tittle as the '𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘵' being a good speaker and how skillful he was in adapting to people's psychological tendencies and needs. Gen is what you can call ' 𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘥 ' or a crowd please. Given his rich family background, a pretty face and a silver tongue? Gen actually is what you'd call someone 'lucky' but is he really?
Gen shook his head.
𝘔𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘵 𝘩𝘶𝘩 ?
True, he sure does have a lot of peers even admirers no matter the gender so he always wondered, 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘦?
A breath was caught up at his throat as he saw a light flickered at one of the classroom. He stop dead at his track wondering what it was since it was very unlikely that there are still student left at this hour at the campus. He thought about the daily school cleaners but it was still too early for them though and shouldn't they start at the very first floor? He was on the second floor.
The light was turned off again. Gen hid around the corner of the hallway just enough for him to see if there were people or what was happening. Seconds later and the light flickered on and was followed of clanging of glass.
What the hell? He didn't know the school was haunted?
Gen wasn't particularly scared of ghost or paranormal things, in fact it humors him. It imposes on him like a challenge. A test of courage perhaps, whether he'll be scared or not. Testing his own self.
Alright. He thought. He went through his way footstep ever so lightly as he made his way through the lit classroom. As he walks he noticed that he was on the laboratory part of the school, a part which isn't much frequented particularly because there wasn't always much students who was interested in mixing up weird things or be in the lab or be fond in chemistry and physics. I mean, who likes that right? Besides the lab was pretty creepy.
Regardless, Gen went closer. He watched through the outside. His back pressed flat against the wall just before the laboratory door as he fling his head on the windows hoping to peek some ghost or whatever that might answer the suspicious blinking of the lights. It wasn't really necessary but he felt like he needs to act like as if he was some detective who was investigating some paranormal scenes or whatever jargons they might call it. He probably look stupid but there wasn't anyone near here anyways, not that he's aware of. He squints his eyes harder but the stools and chairs piled up at the top of the table was blocking his view. Unsatisfied, he abandoned his detective shit way of peeking through the glass window and completely leaned his upper body at the window frame like some weird eavesdropper. Hands placed flat at the cold surface, the tip of his nose almost touching the glass as he squints harder.
The hell. He couldn't see anyone. He sees some lab things, whatever those lab apparatus is called littered messily at one table inside. A small smoke from which seems was a burner or something but anything else, none. What a waste of fucking ti—
" Boo. "
" Gaaah! "
Gen probably let out the most unmanliest yelped he ever did his whole life that he almost wish he could turn back time to re-do his shriek. It would be bad for his image if anyone knew he shrieked like a pussy when surprised. His hands clutched his chest a bit over dramatically, back pressed againt the glass window as some of his black locks littered his stricken flushed face. He is certain he looks like a mess right now.
" A vegetable ghost! "
" Ha? Who are you calling a ghost, idiot. "
What?
Whaaaat???
Gen apparently had three questions on him. First, did the ghost just called him an idiot? Second, are there any ghosts whose hair looks like some vegetables? And third, was ghosts allowed to look...hot?
