    “Then… can you get married?” Jingyi asked, a finger tucked into his mouth.

    Jiang Cheng blinked. “…What?”
    “If you get married, then…” Jingyi trailed off, shifting slightly. “Then the kids on the pier won’t make fun of me anymore…”
    Jiang Cheng’s brow twitched.
    So that was his reasoning for stealing the First Jade’s forehead ribbon and going so far as to tie it around him.

    “Don’t be ridiculous! Lianming—!”
    “Yooou have to!”
    “No, I don’t, you little brat—! Return this right now!” Jiang Cheng snapped, already trying and failing to untangle the ribbon knotted stubbornly around his wrist. Jingyi clung tighter, entirely unhelpful as he covered his father’s arm with little hands. “Don't take it off!” Jingyi whined.

    With an exasperated huff, Jiang Cheng tugged again, only managing to tighten the ribbon further. Then— A familiar figure came into view.
    Zewu-Jun.

    . . .
    “…Eh?”
