Work Text:
To Be Strong
“What were you doing?!”
“Satoru, there is no reason to shout at her…”
“No, No! The question I should be asking is, why the hell you didn't do anything?!”
“Satoru!”
She could hear the two boys arguing, but at the same time, she couldn't understand what they were saying. Memories of what she could call “the worst day of my life” had been circling her mind since the moment she had set her eyes on the special grade curse that had arisen at a school in the middle of Tokyo.
Humanoid, with a cruel smile on her face full of scales, while it dismembered yet another student who had been trapped in its domain. In fact, everything was extremely similar to what had happened months ago.
She, (l/n) (f/n) had promised herself that she would never let something like this happen again, but in the face of such a similar situation, her body had simply frozen. Apparently the trauma she had endured was still greater and stronger than her determination.
“(F/n)!”
Her (e/c) eyes looked at Geto Suguru, who was shaking her by the shoulder, as if he wanted to wake her up from a trance, and in a way that had worked.
“Suguru-senpai...I...I'm sorry…”
“It’s okay, the important thing is that you are not hurt.”
“Of course she is not hurt!” Said Gojo Satoru raising his arms in a gesture of irritation. “We arrived before the curse decided to cut off her head!”
“Satoru! Enough!”
“No...Satoru-senpai is right.” Murmured (f/n) standing up with Geto's help. “I would be dead by now if you two had not appeared…”
“Tch. I don't know how someone so weak managed to get promoted so quickly to a special grade sorcerer. It sucks to take care of the weak.”
The girl clenched her fists around the two katanas that she hadn't even been able to draw. Gojo was right, how had she managed to climb the ranks so fast if she couldn't exorcise a curse that was theoretically appropriate for her level? She couldn't blame her trauma, those two were sure to laugh at her, but what other excuse could she give? None, so she just closed her eyes and sighed.
“(F/n)-san!”
The three looked towards one of Jujutsu Tech's assistants, who had crossed the curtain and was running towards them.
“Ayasaki-san…”
“Are you okay?” She asked as soon as she was a few meters from the students, but the question seemed to be directed more at the youngest of the group.
“Yes.” Confirmed (l/n) trying to smile. Unsuccessfully.
Ayasaki Saori stared at the two sophomores, before looking around. An elementary school, some student bodies scattered around the field, and a curse of a special level. It is clear that (l/n) (f/n) would not be well. That is why she had been against sending the girl on that mission, but Yaga had insisted that it would be a good way to make (f/n) overcome a trauma. And where had it gone?
In the girl's near death.
"Let's go before the curtain disappears." Saori said with a sigh.
She might just be an assistant, but that didn't mean she wouldn't be yelling at Yaga as soon as she meet him.
…
The drive back to Jujutsu Tech had been a smooth one, aside from some complaints from Satoru who was sitting in the front seat, and who occasionally stared (f/n) in the rearview mirror.
“Satoru-senpai, Suguru-senpai. Thank you for saving me today.” Said (l/n) bowing slightly as soon as they climb out of the car.
“No need to thank us, (f/n).” Replied Geto, before pulling his friend by the arm and making him at least acknowledge the thanks of the younger girl.
“Ah yes yes.” Said Satoru rolling his eyes.
The girl raised her head, and her beautiful (e/c) eyes looked at Gojo for a moment.
“I promise that I will get stronger Satoru-senpai.” She said, which caught the boy's attention. “I promise that you won't need to bother with me anymore.”
(F/n) laughed and scratched the back of her neck, but the joy in her smile did not reach her eyes, but no one had the courage to comment on it.
“Thanks for the ride Ayasaki-san.” (F/n) said, before turning her back on everyone and going up the steps that led to the school.
“So...Gojo...what kind of bullshit did you tell her?” Saori asked, crossing her arms and arching an eyebrow.
“Why do you think I said something?”
“Because you don’t know when to shut up.” Commented Suguru.
“Because you are always talking and doing stupid things, and because you don't know when to shut up.” Replied Ayasaki copying Geto's answer.
“...I just questioned why she is a special grade sorcerer.” Satoru said at last, a long sigh followed by the phrase. “It's not like I never said these kind of things to others.”
“Ah…” Sighed Saori placing the palm of her hand on her forehead, how stupid could someone be? “...Gojo, I'm only going to say this once, so I hope you cleaned those ears of yours.”
“That was an unnecessary comment.”
“Not as much as your comments on Utahime's powers.”
“Shut up Suguru.”
“Shut up, both of you, and listen to me!”
“I thought the sermon was for Satoru...?”
“I think it would be good for you to hear this story too, Geto.” Said the eldest of them. “It's about (f/n)-san after all. I'm sure something happened inside the curtain.”
“...When we got there, the curse was about to kill her.” Satoru commented angrily. “She is a special grade sorcerer, just like the two of us! She could defeat that thing! Why didn't she do anything?!”
"Satoru!" Geto scolded him. "I know you were worried, but getting angry doesn't solve anything."
“Do you know why she is here at Jujutsu Tech?” Asked Ayasaki suddenly, interrupting those two.
The two boys looked at each other before turning back to face the assistant.
“Because she had nowhere else to go.”
…
The sun was setting, the orange sky was beginning to make room for darker shades of blue, even so, the heat of the early summer was no respite. Satoru was walking towards the dorms, the jacket with the school pendant slung over his shoulder, and Ayasaki's words haunting his mind.
“A few months ago, a curse of a special level appeared in an elementary school that was having a graduation. You two were on another mission at the time, so we were looking for the nearest special grade sorcerer to complete the mission.”
The white-haired boy stopped in front of the dorms, before starting to walk towards the women's wing.
“I was there that day putting a curtain and waiting for a sorcerer to appear, but in the meantime the curse trapped everyone who was at the school in its domain. Students, teachers, and families who had been attending the event, were all trapped.”
He was about to knock on (f/n)'s bedroom door when he stopped moving. She wasn't in the room, he couldn't feel her cursed energy in there. Gojo closed his eyes and concentrated a little, he could see some kind of blue flame coming from the direction of the training grounds, and as much as he tried to deny it, Satoru knew that that was the power that emanated from (f/n), he would recognize that sensation anywhere.
“When we finally got a sorcerer, it had already passed three hours...what kind of person would survive that long with a high level curse on the loose and hunting?”
Leaving the dorms, the boy walked to the training grounds, where he finally spotted her, and for a few moments Gojo watched her, he admired her. (F/n) was a sorcerer who could create barriers around her, but just defending herself would not defeat a curse, so she had specialized in hand-to-hand combat and fighting using two cursed katanas.
Her movements were fluid and well executed, not a single drop of cursed energy was wasted, it was as if the (l/n) was dancing, to the sound of a song that only she was able to hear.
“When the sorcerer entered the domain, he saw bodies scattered all around, the curse haunted everyone for the simple pleasure of killing. But...a single person survived. ”
Satoru approached the field and sat on the grass, waiting for (f/n) to notice him there.
“She fought the curse all that time. Alone.”
Sticking the swords in the ground, (f/n) finally decided to take a break. Her breathing was irregular, and her body was protesting over the intense exercise regimen she had been putting on for the past two hours.
“That should be nothing compared to that day.”
She narrowed her eyes and again took the katanas. That cynical voice like hers was right, no training was as hard as what she had been through that day. Showing tiredness was a weakness, no curse would wait for her to catch her breath.
“(F/n), that's enough.”
(E/c) eyes widened, and her body, as if it had entered in some type of automatic mode, turned around, arms raised delivering a blow before she even tried to recognize the person who had called her.
“Eh…” Satoru murmured, staring at the blade of the katana that had been stopped by his Infinity a few centimeters before reaching his neck.
The girl stared at the older boy, who was poking the blade of the katana as if he were testing its sharpness, of all the people she knew, Gojo Satoru was the last person she thought that would look for her, even more after what happened on the mission that day.
“...Satoru-senpai...what...are you doing here...?” (F/n) asked, finally lowering the weapons and putting them in the sheath.
Gojo's sky blue eyes landed on the figure in front of him, her long (h/c) hair stuck in a bun, and the few strands that had come loose, were glued to the girl's sweaty cheeks and nape. Irregular breathing, and he could tell that the tank top and leggings she was wearing were dirty after she probably rolled over the training ground.
She was obviously tired. That was a fact.
And yet, (f/n) was planning to continue that training. How many more hours had she planned to stay there, if he hadn't shown up?
“I came...to apologize.” Satoru replied at last, his eyes never leaving the figure in front of him.
“...Eh?”
To apologize?
Apologize for what?
Gojo Satoru, that Gojo Satoru who had a God complex, the one who managed to irritate everyone with a single sentence and laugh at the misfortune of others, did know the word "sorry"? In fact, had he ever apologized to anyone in the 16 almost 17 years he had lived?
“Can you stop looking at me like I said the strangest thing of the century? It's annoying.”
“Ah...okay…” Replied (f/n), shaking her head slightly as if she wanted to put her thoughts in place.
"Let's sit over there." Said the older boy at last, pointing in the direction of the place he had been sitting earlier.
“Oh no, I'm training…”
“Enough of training for today.”
“But!”
“Believe me, you have trained more than enough for today.”
And without saying another word, Satoru intertwined his fingers with (f/n)’s - who could not prevent the blush from appearing on her cheeks - and guided her towards the lawn.
…
“Are you serious? (F/n)...she fought a special level curse for three fucking hours?” Satoru asked, surprise stamped on his face.
“But she was just a...civilian, right? How did she…” Suguru tried to find the right words to express himself, but none came to mind at the moment, however, Ayasaki could imagine what he meant.”
“She had no idea what curses were.” Saori said. “She didn't even know what a jujutsu was, all she knew was that she had a gift, that she could see things that other people couldn't, and that she could create barriers around herself. (F/n)-san...she tried to protect the ones that she loved.”
The two students stared at the floor, (f/n) had never said anything, and they had also never asked why she came to Jujutsu Tech, and even if they had asked, would she have told them?
“She lost her whole family that day, so we invited her to come and study here...after she woke up, of course.”
That caught the attention of the two young men who turned their attention to the assistant.
“After that attack, she was unconscious for two weeks, and Ieiri treated her injuries in the meantime.”
“What?! Did Shoko knew that?!” Exclaimed Satoru. “She never told us anything!”
“Unlike you Gojo, there are people who knows how to keep their mouths shut.” Replied Ayasaki frowning, which made the younger guy make a face too. “Besides, I don’t think (f/n)-san wanted to make people feel sorry for her.”
“Well, but that explains why she was promoted so quickly to a special-level sorcerer.” Commented Geto “It is not every day that a civilian fi ght and survive against a special-level curse for so long.”
“We can say that this is the reason why she was promoted, but she has shown herself to be stronger and more talented over the months, even though she has never received proper training before.” Finished Ayasaki leaning against the car. “But I'm just saying this to undo some misunderstandings, it's not like I go around telling anyone about someone else's life.” Added Saori, fully aware of her hypocritical act. “Do you still think she doesn't deserve her position, Gojo?
…
"I'm sorry." Said Gojo, briefly remembering Ayasaki's words.
Blue eyes like the sky looked into the (e/c) eyes of (f/n), who was slightly in shock.
“I...I know I asked before…” She started a little bit taken back. “...but what exactly are you apologizing for Satoru-senpai...?”
“...for the mean things I said during the mission…”
I don't know how someone so weak managed to get promoted so quickly to a special grade sorcerer. It sucks to take care of the weak.
“Ah...that…” Murmured the girl, before smiling slightly in an attempt to cheer up her veteran. “...you don't need to apologize senpai! It's not like you were wrong…”
“No! I was wrong…” Exclaimed the boy suddenly.
They were sitting side by side on the lawn, their fingers still intertwined. For anyone passing by, the scene could be considered romantic, a couple spending time together, but for attentive eyes, the atmosphere between them could be considered at least tense.
“...I said stupid things without knowing your circumstances.” Commented Satoru.
(F/n) eyes widened, he was implying that…
Ah…
Ayasaki-san should have told him about her past, and probably to Geto Suguru too, but it's not like she's keeping a secret or something...it was just...no one had ever asked, and it's not like she went around telling about the massacre she witnessed to someone feel sorry for her. Quite the opposite, pity was the last thing she wanted from people, wasn't that why she was there at Jujutsu Tech now?
She wanted to be stronger!
“Ayasaki-san told you what happened right...?” (F/n) said looking away to the sky.
“She told us what the sorcerer reported…” Said Satoru staring at the girl from behind the sunglasses. “... not what you went through.”
Of course...what he wanted to hear now was things from her point of view.
"But you don't have to tell me, if you don't want..."
“No..it's okay...It's just...it was supposed to be a happy day, you know…” Commented the girl after a few seconds, her eyes glazed over the sky that now gave space to the moon and stars. “...go up on stage, receive my certificate, take pictures with my friends and my family...talk about the future, it was supposed to be just another day.”
When the boy beside her remained silent, (f/n) continued her speech.
“But then...an embryo appeared in the sky, and less than 10 minutes later that thing changed. I know that some people besides me could see that thing, but it is not as if we knew that whatever it was, would come...hunt us.”
Right...she remembered perfectly well how she ignored that curse embryo, thinking it would be just like the little monsters she could see in the corners of the school.
“When I and everyone who was at the graduation realized, we were in some kind of random dimension, you know, like that kind of thing that we see in horror animes?” Said (l/n) trying to break a little of that serious atmosphere that hovered between them.
“What an sad comparison.” Commented Gojo.
“Said the person who uses digimons evolutions to compare at what level a sorcerer would be.” Countered (f/n).
“...”
“But anyway, after that, things really started to look like a horror anime. After all, people started dying one after other, and I don't know how many people could actually see that curse besides me. Panic and despair are the only words I can use to describe that situation, people were running from something they couldn't see, and being killed without any explanation.”
“...what did you do?” Gojo asked, even though he knew the answer was obvious.
“I tried to escape, of course. My father ran with my sister in his arms, and my mother ran pulling me by my wrist. My friends had run somewhere with their families, so the last time I saw them was during the delivery of the certificates. I remember my parents saying that everything would be fine while we were running, and...I'm not gonna lie...for a second I really thought everything would be okay since they never made promises that they couldn't keep. But…”
For a moment, Satoru looked away from (f/n)'s expressionless face, to look at their intertwined fingers; hers curling slightly.
“But...suddenly everything seemed to spin, and when we realized, we were inside a room, to be more specific, the room that my teacher from the kendo club used as an office. My dad opened the door and we ended up at the gym. The domain of that curse connected several points of the school to random places...a real mess to be honest.” Commented (f/n). “Before leaving the room I ended up taking the katana that my teacher left hanging on the wall as decoration, not that I knew how to use a sword that was not made of wood or bamboo back then, but I would even use a chair as a weapon in that situation.”
The girl laughed lightly, but Gojo narrowed his eyes, no matter how hard she tried to hide it, he could clearly see how her body was starting to shake.
“In the end, we met with other people, some wounded others almost dying...I think...saying that everyone was scared is a waste of time, right?”
“Maybe…”
“...at that time I wasn't seeing the curse, and the gym seemed normal, so I really thought that we had a chance to...survive, well...that until someone started screaming. I didn't really see what happened next, my parents tried their best to hide the massacre that was going on behind them, but suddenly everything went silent, and my mother screamed.”
“...”
“The curse killed her and then my father. And when it tried to take my sister away...that's when I finally got it. My parents could no longer protect us. If I didn't do anything, my sister and I would die. I was scared and angry about it all, I really wondered why I had to go through it.
"It was then that you managed to use your power." Said Satoru.
"I wish...I might have avoided one or two broken ribs."
“Then…”
“When the curse tried to take my sister, I attacked, it was...quite useless to be honest, that thing threw me away with just one punch, my vision darkened and I think I blacked out for a few moments, and when I woke up, my sister...she was lying beside my parents...or at least I think it was them...there were...so many people there...so much blood...so honestly I didn't even I knew how to say who was who…”
Gojo closed his eyes and with great effort, did not sighed. Now he was kind of feeling guilty for asking (f/n) what had happened. The scenario that Ayasaki had painted was nowhere near the real deal, and now the girl in front of him, the same one who in previous days was always smiling and retorting what he said, looked like she would break with the smallest of touches.
She tried her best to maintain a calm tone, and even used expressions that tried their best to appear relaxed despite the story. However it was visible that she was vulnerable, everything in her posture screamed how traumatic that experience had been.
“I thought it was strange that that curse didn’t kill me when it had the chance, but when it tried to touch me and failed, that was when I realized that there was something protecting me...a barrier. I don't know how I activated my cursed energy, much less in a situation like that. Shoko-senpai thinks it was some type of survival instinct or something similar, but whatever the reason, I'm alive thanks to that.”
“...after the barrier activated, what did you do?”
“After…” (f/n) murmured lost in her memories.
"Did you stay inside the barrier until the sorcerer appeared?" Asked Satoru.
“Ah...no...but I should have done that, right?” The girl laughed. “After the barrier was activated, I ended up attacking the curse, I don't even know how many times it threw me on the floor or on the walls, I only know that the barrier was activated every time that thing struck with total intention of killing. I was told that I stayed in this one-sided fight for almost three hours...and when the sorcerer appeared, the katana was already broken, as well as some ribs, my left arm, and my right leg…”
Suddenly, Gojo felt the girl let go of his hand, causing him to face his hand before turning back to face (f/n), who had pulled her legs so that they touched her chest, and crossed her arm over her knees, resting her head between them, while she looked back at him.
“...but thanks to Shoko-senpai I only have a few scars.”
And for a few seconds they were silent, just staring at each other, and Satoru wondered if she could understand the double meaning that that last sentence had.
Scars.
Scars were usually taken as something physical, but after hearing that story, he wondered if the scars she was talking about went beyond what could be touched or seen.
“After all that…” Continued (f/n). “...Yaga-sensei gave me two options. I could continue my life as a civilian, or I could join Jujutsu Tech.”
"And why did you enter this school?" Asked Satoru.
“It's not like I have a lot of choices…” The (l/n) replied. “I am a minor, without a legal guardian. I could not support myself alone with part-time jobs. I would have to quit school and work full time if I wanted to survive, but if the government found out that a minor is not going to school, I would be immediately sent to an orphanage and forced to quit my job until I found a new home. And let's be honest, we all know that the older the child is, the less likely it is to be adopted.”
“So you agreed to come here to study, train, and go on missions.”
“You say that as if it had been an easy decision Satoru-senpai...but, yes, I accepted all the conditions to be able to come here. In everyone eyes, including the government, Jujutsu Tech is a religious school, so it wouldn't be strange for a religious school to accept a girl who lost her whole family as a way of showing charity.”
Now Satoru was sure that the scars were not only physical, but also emotional. All that, the whole situation and the decisions she had been making in a short period of time would be too much even for an adult, who's to say for a teenager?
"And today's mission..." Murmured the boy, changing the subject, or rather, returning to the subject he had criticized without knowing the situation.
"...it was similar...and then I just...froze on the spot. I thought I got over it, but... apparently I still have a long way to go.”
“I won't say that I know how you feel, because I don’t, I have never been through something like that to compare.” Gojo said without looking away from the girl who listened to him attentively. “But in my point of view, I don't think it's wrong to need time to, maybe not get over it, but to accept what happened and move on.”
“...to accept?”
“We see the ugly and cruel side of the world, a world created by the fears and worst human feelings, but even so, we sorcerers are not trying to overcome them, we just accept this second world that we can see, we fight against it and we continue to live, trying to take advantage of the experiences. Why should it be any different for your situation?”
(E/c) eyes stared at Gojo for exactly 60 seconds, before she started to laugh. Satoru was ready to protest, there he was speaking like a psychologist, and (f/n) had decided that laughing, laughing, was the best thing she could do, but his complaints died in his throat when he saw tears streaming down the girl’s face.
“(F/n)...?”
“I'm sorry. I’m so sorry” She said trying to control her laugh and tears, that insisted on falling. “I'm being very rude now, I know. It's just...I spent these last months telling myself that everything was fine, that I had overcome it, that I was stronger and that I could defeat any curse, but deep down, I was just deceiving myself.”
Yes, she was over it, but over it meant that she had tried to forget what happened, she had tried to erase that day from her memory and live as if nothing had happened. She simply ignored the worst day of her life, and has learned nothing from it, which would have been different if she had accepted the situation as a whole.
Even before joining Jujutsu Tech, she saw harmless curses, and just accepted it as part of her world and lived with it all, always looking for the best way to maintain harmony. If she had accepted, instead of trying to get over things at her old school, she probably wouldn't have been showing that vulnerable side to her veteran.
“People who knew what had happened, always said that I should try to forget what happened and move on. You are the first one to tell me that I should just accept what happened and learn from the situation, senpai.” (F/n) said with a smile.
Gojo felt his cheeks getting hot, something in those words and in that smile made him feel...embarrassed(?). So Satoru crossed his legs, rested his elbow on his knee, and rested his head on the palm of his hand, facing the opposite side of the girl who laughed at the boy's sudden change in behavior.
“Since the beginning...I think those were the words I wanted to hear.” Commented the girl, she knew that Gojo was still paying attention to what she said. “So, thank you Satoru-senpai! Now I know that I can be stronger.”
And the boy felt his cheeks hotter than before, if that was possible. So to try to hide how embarrassed he was at the girl's words, Satoru stood up and pulled up the girl by the arms.
“Senpai?! What?!"
“Let's go back to the dorms!” Gojo said while picking up the katanas from the floor, before starting to push the youngest of them towards the place to which he had referred.
“What?! No! I still have to train! I said I would get stronger and I wouldn't bother you anymore!”
“And I said enough training for today! And you need a bath!”
“What do you mean by that?!”
“I'm saying that you stink and that you need a bath!”
“That was very rude of you, Satoru-senpai! Like I said, I was training!”
Gojo stopped for a moment, and (f/n) took the opportunity to turn around and face his veteran who seemed to be considering something.
“Senpai?”
“Satoru.” He said suddenly.
“Hum?”
“You should just call me Satoru.”
The girl's face flushed, and this time it was Gojo's turn to laugh.
“You basically told me the story of your life, I think we are more than kouhai and senpai , don't you think? And it’s really annoying to hear my name with the suffix ‘senpai’, I’m not much older than you.”
“Bu...but!” Stammered (f/n).
“Come on, try it!” He encouraged.
"..."
"I'm waiting~~~"
“...Sa…”
“Sa~~~?
“Satoru…” She murmured.
“Eh? Did you say something?”
“Ugh! Satoru!” (F/n) finally shouted.
“Ah, now I heard you~” Laughed Gojo delivering the katanas to the girl who was grimacing.
“...Nanami is right, you are a terrible senpai.”
“Tell Nanami-kun that I never tried to be a good senpai.”
“Utahime-san and Suguru-senpai are also right, you are an idiot. And a bully.”
“For some reason I hear that a lot from people…”
“But…” She turned her back on Gojo who continued to stare at her as she walked away. “...you are a good person.”
“And who said that?” Questioned the boy.
“I said!” The girl exclaimed while waving. “So thanks for listening to me...Satoru!”
Smiles appeared on the lips of both, but it was not as if they could see them, the moon and the stars would be the only witness of the feelings of peace and relief that were expressed in those young faces of (l/n) (f/n) and Gojo Satoru.
Epilogue
"I take back what I said." Shouted (f/n) ."You are a terrible human being!"
“Ah ah.” Said Satoru while shaking his index finger. “You cannot take back what you said to me yesterday, (f/n).”
“Yes, I can, and I will. And I'm going to break your finger.” The (l/n) commented, her patience by a thread.
“She is really thinking about breaking your finger, Gojo! You should stop annoying other people.” Advised Ieiri Shoko, sitting on the grass with a cigarette in her mouth.
“And you should stop smoking, Shoko.” Said Geto, who in turn was sitting next to Ieiri, while watching Satoru and (f/n) arguing a few meters from where they were sitting.
“And why are you here at the training grounds?!” Asked (f/n), ignoring Shoko and Suguru's ‘We are also here, you know ’. “I should be there…” (F/n) pointed her finger in the direction of Nanami and Haibara who were training with Mei Mei and Utahime. “...training with them! Mei-san and Utahime-san even made themselves available to train us!”
“Well, it would be three against two, so here I am, ready to train you!”
“...you should be in your own class now...what happened to Yaga-sensei?”
“Ayasaki-san appeared out of nowhere and dragged him outside while threatening to destroy the stuffed animals he had made in the last few days.” Replied Shoko, calm as always.
"Ah..." Murmured the youngest girl, Ayasaki-san was probably discussing the previous day's mission.
“And do not forget that we are also here.” Repeated Geto. “We can help with your training.”
“Thanks...but I really think you should all go back to your classroom…”
“But, more important than training!” Exclaimed the white-haired boy, causing the other three to face him. “You are avoiding calling me by my first name, (f/n)!”
The girl's cheeks flushed immediately, causing Satoru to smile, and Shoko and Suguru to look at them curiously.
“You had no problem calling me by my name last night.”
There were a few seconds of silence, the extremely suggestive phrase hovering in the air, making everyone look at Satoru for a moment.
“Ehhh...for real (f/n)? I thought you had better taste in men…” Ieiri commented, with disgust on her face. “Even Geto would be a better option.”
“What did you mean by ‘even Geto’ , Shoko?” Suguru asked rhetorically, a vein of irritation popping on his forehead.
“What?! No! No! No! It's not what you think, Shoko-senpai!” Shouted the youngest, her cheeks redder with each passing second. “This is a misunderstanding! A horrible misunderstanding!
“Misunderstanding? Now you are hurting my feelings, (f/n). I'm sure you called me by my first name yesterday.” said Satoru pouting.
The girl turned to face Gojo, her cheeks red with embarrassment, causing the boy to start laughing. That was the best expression he had seen on (f/n)' face so far.
“Ughhh!!! Satoru!!!”
