UC: Undecided Character, possibly quirkless?
UAT: Undecided Amount of Time
Concept: Izuku, feeling down after his encounter with all might, decides to take the hill way home not the bridge way. He bumps into UC, who he accidentally confesses all his worries to (in ramble form) UC leaves him the info to a support group for quirkless kids.
Izuku is unsure whether or not to take it, but decides to anyway. He joins first their discord chat. Introduces himself to several UCs.
An UAT passes and he chooses to meet up with them (maybe somewhere near the Tatooin shop?)
Meets 3 UCs, 2 quirkless 1 ally. UC1 is president and hosts the support group. UC1 is also a bit older, and acts more like a parental figure. UC2 is more Izukus age, and is in a similar boat. and UC3 is UC2s friend who comes to support them.
They talk about likeuh, their relationships in and out of school. UC brings attention to how toxic his and Katsukis relationship is.
He stops interacting with Kaachan and tells his Mom not to bother with calling them. He starts hanging out with UC2 and UC3 more often.
One day after school UC2 is caught in a Hero v villain attack and is hit by one of the pro heroes quirks. Hes hurt very badly but is shunned because hes quirkless and they played it off as his body being weak and his fault. Izu and support are pissed at this.
UC1 invites those who want to come to dinner as well as a peaceful protest in Young Circle.
Izu is a bit nervous but decides to go.
While there, a group of kids come down while they're peacefully protesting and attacks several of the UCs. Izu can do nothing, and calls the police. When they get there the teens have left and the group is scolded and the po tells them they should quit it as 'weak quirkless kids like you are bound to get yourselves hurt'
Cue everyone cussing them out and po threatening to arrest them. Support group is enraged at this point, and Izu tries to comfort his friends. UC1 takes everyone out to dinner which is nice until Izu sees Kaachan.
Who holds him by his neck and is about to punch him when UC3 intervenes, using their quirk (maybe they can bend someone's gravitational force? But only enough to stunt their movements for a sec) to stop him. Kaachan rambles about what a loser he is and such a deku and blah blah blah I'll kill you blah blah blah.
UC1 calls security who only listens because hes a grown adult. Izuku is now really mad at why he was being treated so unfairly.
He takes to building an anon website for quirkless kids around the world, as well as correcting quirked who had the wrong idea of what being quirkless meant.
Because of his webs increasing popularity, Izu decides to start a blogging section. Which is just to show how the quirkless live practically the same way as the quirked (just without needing powers)
Izu begins to contemplate on what he'll be now that he can no longer be a hero- y'know what screw that. He trains for almost a year and his mom signs him up for self defense training as well as a local gym membership.
His support group is right there with him, along with his mom and followers. He takes the UA exam and… gets in with 40 villain points and 20 rescue points (Ururaka did not get captured)
He gets put into Class 1-A by the skin of his teeth at number 19 but does it anyway. His support is overjoyed and throws a party. His followers are too, 'I'll be the first quirkless hero'
Kaachan is really pissed off but no one cares about him so oof rip I guess
And Izu thrives, and employs Aizawas help for close combat training. Hes still a nerd and geeks out over everyone's quirks. He was really sad when he came in last place and somehow class 1 a still does not know he is quirkless so they're like how did he get in????witchery????
Aizawa sees potential and he is dubbed co president with Iida which is rlly cool. He suggests the idea of pairing members of class 1a to a support group member. He gets Hatsume and instead of really training hatsume designs stuff to keep him alive. Bakugou gets shinsou so (and I oop-)
All Might comes in and recognizes Deku but is like sorry lad I was in a hurry, and hes all like 'it's fine,' it's not fine. They take the whole battle scenario except this time he's against against Todo and Toru. Mei whips up something that keeps him infinitely warm. He essentially causes todo to overuse his quirk and ura capture toru and they win as the villains.
Deku apologizes to Todo and McAngst just continues brooding in Japanese. But hes like, don't overuse your power. I know you have your fire, use it. And leaves like the cool boy he is.
UC1 is freaking ecstatic at this point and hosts a whole party.
UAT to the USJ, apparently Tomura saw his blog so he knows hes quirkless, but it still plays out the same except class 1a now knows about him being quirkless. All Might chooses Jirou as his successor afterwards because I saID SO.
They get to the tournament and hes nominated as the speaker. He suppppper stutters but talks about how he wants to show the quirkless kids at home that just because you dont have a quirk doesn't mean you can't be a hero. Present Mic probably yells into the mic at this point.
They go through the tournament except Izuku is put against Ura,which is really difficult, but he had Hatsume design a grappler arm for him so he can pick her up and throw her out of bounds so nice .
He loses to todo,but they do their love ballad thing still and he gets all fiery still. Bakugou wins again, and hes happy this time because todo actually used his fire against him. Izuku gets a lot of attention afterwards for what he said in the beginning and tells them that quirked kids were his torments all throughout middle school and elementary. And he does not want any kid going through anything remotely similar to what he did.
Fast forward an UAT and Izuku has gotten his hero license with UC2 and UC3 still his best friends. Also I think Izuku might be aro in this au but I'm not sure.
Hes trying to propose a bill to Congress with UC2 (who's a lawyer) by his side. After the first hearing court they're feeling really good that the law will be passed and accepted by all the branches (I'm not sure how Japan's govt works so we re saying that somehow they've got the US democracy)
One day he runs into the UC he bumped into long ago who gave him the info to the support group. The man is older and has a little kid by his side. The kid, quirkless, looks up to him and ask if he too can become a hero.
Izuku laughs, "Yeah, you can!"
