Sorry Venti
Venti confessed his feelings to Lumine.
Windrise, 21:00
Venti, the Anemo Archon is currently singing a song he dedicated for the traveller Lumine who is seated near the tree of Vannessa. For months they know each other, Venti fell in love with her, it started when she helped him in his problem about Dvalin and because of her friendly demeanour and benevolence for those who befriend her, and he formed feelings for her from admiration to love. Today, he will confess to her, and this will be his first time to do it.
He is also thinking many possibilities especially if he will be rejected, will they still be friends? Will they avoid each other? He hoped not as he wanted to still be friends with her. Once he finished his song, he smiled at her and sat beside her which caused Lumine to blush quite a bit. He then looked at her and spoke.
“Traveller? Uhmmmmmmmm” Lumine then asked him what he want.
“Can I call you in your name?” Lumine nodded and said
“Sure Venti” he nodded and smiled at that. He then spoke slowly and he was furiously blushing.
“Lumine, uhh, there is something………… I want to tell………you”
“Go on” Lumine gulped some air and he spoke very fast
“IloveyouLumine,canyoubemygirfriend” and there, he said it straightforward from his heart but Lumine looked at him confused and she politely asked
“What? I didn’t get what you said Venti, can you please repeat it?” Venti sighed and he spoke again, this time normally and he was still blushing
“I said, I love you Lumine” Lumine’s expression saddened, she stood up, not looking at Venti and spoke
“Venti” Venti also stood up and went in front of her but her eyes looked quite sad. Venti then tried to apologize but Lumine replied
“There is nothing to apologize Venti, I am just sorry that I can’t return your feelings” Venti’s face became looked sad, and she then asked Lumine why.
“You are a god Venti and bound to this world, while I, a mere mortal cannot be bound in this world as I do not belong here, besides, it will hurt both of us in the end. I will die and leave you depressed, so this is for the better” she smiled at him whose eyes began to tear up.
“Hey, don’t cry Venti please” but Venti’s tears only flowed more and Lumine decided to hug him and he cried in her shoulder and after a few minutes, Venti asked Lumine to stop hugging her, which she complied and Venti looked at her and spoke
“We can still be friends right?” Lumine nodded and she thanked him for being a good company with her and went to the direction of Falcon coast and looked at the stars.
“Sorry Venti but I love my brother” she took out a picture of Aether, kissed it and giggled like a fangirl. She then lied to the sands for a while looking again at the stars and minutes later, she stood up and went to the direction of Wangshu Inn. Paimon must be sleeping right now or maybe waiting for her.
