Summary
It’s barely within his grasp when Zhongli’s eyes flit open with a gasp, pupils blown wide and luminous in the dark. Xiao pushes himself back up and watches as Zhongli takes in the yaksha’s presence, curtains billowing behind him.
“Xiao,” he breathes out, voice still woven with sleep, “what are you doing here?”
“You called out for me,” Xiao whispers.
