“Nene-chan,” Tsukasa says to her, whispering again. He’s very close and he looks exactly like Amane and her heart, confused, gives a kick. “Nene-chan, I know a secret. About Amane! But he’d get mad if I told you.”
Nene waits, breathless, to be told. Her expectant shining stare is as huge as his. “Oh – wait,” she says hurriedly, when her conscience catches up a moment later, “if Amane-kun wouldn’t like it then you shouldn’t, probably. Unless you want to. He might not be that mad, anyway. What if we never told him you told me?”
Tsukasa cups his hand to her ear. His breath is hot: he’s alive. He says, “Amane’s really good at kissing.”
