I came into this, definitely not expecting to cry my eyes out and yet here I am now, sobbing at 3 am as I read this beautiful masterpiece.
The author captured such a calm, realistic feeling. It's slow and gentle and it brings warmth. It feels like looking at a movie about growing up, about change, about life. It's a coming-of-age fic with a slow pace, and the conflict is subtle but oh so painfully there.
Personal dump here, but this hits way too close to home. I'm in college too. I have friends, but I'm very distant from everyone, I don't know what it's like to go through those 'college experience' things like hanging out with friends, and I feel very envious of those who does. So this fic really hit me in the head, it gives me such a warm embrace.
Overall wonderful fic. A must read, even if you don't ship zhongxiao (the zhongxiao is not the most important thing anyway), simply for how lovely it is!
