As Hermione hid, she heard the scuffling sound draw closer. damn, she had hoped whoever had entered would leave when they saw the room was empty!
This study cubby had been her domain practically since first year, and it was almost like a miniature room of Requirement. She had been surprised to find a mirror there when she’d arrived earlier in the evening but had passed it off as a girl probably wanting to fix her hair before a date.
Now she was not so sure. She didn’t hear the swish of a feminine walk or the light clap of heels. She heard the sturdier footsteps of a male.
Cautiously, she peeped her head towards the edge, looking through a gap in the gilded frame of the mirror. Her eyes flew wide open as she stared with shock at the sight before her. Theodore Nott was standing in front of the mirror, posing and admiring himself. Holding his torso and arms this way and that, she could hear him muttering to himself, “They think I’ll never be as good looking as Draco, huh? Well let’s see their faces when they get a load of this!” And as he flexed he let his shirt fall open, admiring his own toned abdominal muscles and the happy trail of fine hairs that led down into his trousers. Tilting his head, his eyes suddenly met hers through the building and he smirked, before starting to snicker. Realizing she was caught, Hermione gasped before frantically trying to figure out any explanation for why she was hiding behind a mirror and spying!
”Peeping, Hermione?” Theo said, more than a hint of smugness to his voice. “Well, if you like what you see, come out from there and take a closer look.”
Hermione considered her options carefully, and then resolutely took him up on his offer. One was only young once, after all!
