It was a normal day, snow everywhere, birds nowhere to be seen, Kagami’s mocking laugh, Kuroko’s murder planning. It was all normal.
“Hey, Kuroko. I guess we should be celebrating you soon.” He had said out of nowhere as they walked through the park. Kuroko glanced up at him. “What do you mean?”
“Well, it's an international short person day in a few days so I should be getting you a stepstool as a gift. How does that sound?” Not realizing the fatal mistake he’d just committed, he laughed mockingly while the smaller boy’s face darkened.
“Kagami-kun, I don’t think you’re aware, I’m average in height.” Perhaps Kuroko should give him a chance to redeem himself before he attacks him. Kagami better take the hint.
“Hm? You look pretty short to me. You’re the shortest on the team except for our demonic coach.” Tetsuya twitched as he came to a stop. His taller friend stopped too.
“What? You gonna hit me?”
“I tried giving you a chance… You know, I just invented a new type of ignite pass. For situations like this.” Kuroko’s voice grew darker as he spoke.
“Ha? Situations like wha-” “Ignite PUNCH kai!” A punch as quick as a bullet made its way towards Kagami’s stomach, making the redhead grunt loudly. He fell down to his knees, clutching at his stomach in desperation. His breathing quickened.
“Oh, what’s this? You’re bowing down to me, you pitiful creature? Good. Stay like that.”
People walked away from the area after hearing suspicious pained moans and groans.
Kagami never mentioned Kuroko’s height ever again.
