Summary
Xiao Zan hates getting the train to her parent’s house from class on Thursday. It’s always so busy, crowded with businessmen until she can barely move. She may be tall but she still somehow always ends up pinned into a corner for the majority of the 45-minute journey, people pressing into her from all sides.
Today is no different, and she huffs as she’s jostled by another group of people packing onto the train. The doors close and finally, the train departs and begins the longest stretch of the journey, and she relaxes a little, taking her backpack off and safely placing it between her feet and the wall to give her a little more room. As soon as she removes her backpack, however, someone immediately steps forward a little, pressing up against her back.
“Excuse me,” Xiao Zan says, taking a step towards the wall of the train, trying to wiggle a little more room for herself, “would you mind stepping back a little?”
