Work Text:
Laying down she inhaled the familiar scent of her pillow sighed. As she lay there, she thought about everything and felt herself slowly start to cry. Her throat ached and she swallowed uncomfortably. Her tears leaked onto the pillow making the fabric have dark spots. As a silent sob shook her body, she heard a knock at the door. Immediately wiping at her face and sitting up, she called out to the person who knocked asking for their name.
Hearing his familiar voice, she let out a shuddering sigh, rolled back over onto the bed, and told him to come in. He entered and cast his gaze around the room, finally landing on her. Slowly making his way over to her, he sat down on the bed watching her back as she hiccupped. Quietly, she focused on restraining her tears in her eyes. She stared shamefully at the wall thinking how stupid it was to cry in front of him. To her, crying was a sign of weakness so it made her even more upset.
Feeling a hand tangle into her hair, she started to calm down and melted into his touch. Gently scratching into her scalp and running his fingers through the strands, he didn’t press to ask what was wrong, just focused on carefully making her feel better.
Noticing there weren’t any new streams of tears coming down her cheeks, he took his hands out of her flowing hair. Pulling her into a sitting position, he reached out to cup her cheeks and rub small circles into the flesh. Bringing her hand up to his she gently held onto it looking affectionately into his eyes. Taking notice of his quaint appearance, she analyzed him.
His dark hair was styled as usual, framing his familiar face. His grey eyes were the most gorgeous thing she’s ever seen. His lips were slightly chapped, but still a rose color.
Breathing out she looked up at him and they both exchanged a knowing look.
He wrapped his arms around her torso and placed his head in the crook of her neck. Taking a deep breath and nuzzling into her, he closed his eyes as he felt her arms wrap around his neck and press her forehead into his hair.
Levi’s stoic expression softened.
"I love you brat."
