Chapter Text

annoyed super fucking annoyed, exactly what taehyung was feeling at the moment. normally with a huge smile plastered on his face he would be talking to everyone around him right now, none of that was seen.

he glared at the hooded boy beside him, chewing on his tongue. who the fuck does this kid think he is.

currently seated in his first class of the day kim taehyung the king of being a loudmouth was left utterly speechless because of the fluffy-haired boy sketching away.

the official start to their jumbled up story begins with taehyung's newfound hate.

____________

a bit earlier

today taehyung was running a bit late to his classes, bouncing his leg frantically as if that was going to make the bus drive any faster. his cousin left early so this was the only form of transportation.

his freshly dyed blonde hair was held back with a headband and his ears jeweled with an assortment of earrings. he was clutching a bag filled with paint brushes and what not.

taehyung stood up walking to the front of the bus seeing as it's almost his stop. after a bit of shoving and a few excuse me's and accidental shoves he finally reached the front.

right then the bus came to a forced stop causing the blonde to stumble and fall hitting his head. a few gasps were let out by the passengers, who rushed to help him up.

"oh my god are you okay?" the driver panicked.

"i am okay sir" taehyung rubbed his head, it was just a small bump. he stood up with the help of the railing looking up to see a boy standing in front of the bus.

"that brat wasn't looking at all i could have hit him, ' the driver muttered, opening the door for taehyung to leave.

after getting off taehyung's eyes fell onto the brunette dressed in all black who was staring at him. he still hadn't moved from in front of the bus.

"hey are you okay you almost got hi-" taehyung smiled walking up to the boy who only ignored him and walked away fast. that was rude.

he glanced down at his watch. oh wait my class , shit.

the blonde ran into the uni seeing he was 20 minutes late. walking up the usual set of stairs he was greeted by many people. he finally made it to his class.

"sorry i am late" he bowed to the teacher who said something along the lines of "don't waste my time go sit down."

he slowly walked to his desk saying a few hellos and smiling to his classmates on his way up. his smile twisted to a frown noticing the certain hooded boy sitting at his seasi

"you're in my seat."

"i got here first," the boy said quietly.

"but it's-"

"it's mine now."

"are you fucking with me? you are the reason i got hurt today and now-"

"kim sit down," his teacher announced loudly, causing a few chuckles to go around. taehyung was forced to sit beside the brunette, biting his lip in frustration he plopped his bag down.

"before those two interrupted us we concluded that we would be having a collaborative piece hmm? i want you to group with those sitting beside you." that caused taehyung's stomach drop. why do i have to work with this little shit.

"i sent out an email with the details, now this period is more of a free class for planning and such, you can also work on the weekly self piece" hearing that taehyung got up in hopes of negotiating for a better partner, really anyone would be better than this emo fuck. he walked up to the teacher without saying a word to the boy.

"do i have to work with that kid?"

"sorry taehyung but we finally have an even number so you are working with him."

"..."

"look he is a new student okay, it's good to have you as his partner." she patted his back aware of how easily the boy can make friends.

"yes ma'am" he cursed internally. god why me?

"try not being late next time" he nodded and went back to his seat watching the boy work on some sketches. the silence was annoying, he looked around to see everyone else conversing. he was having a bad day.

taehyung just sat there watching the boy drawing something. he observed him in silence, noting the ridiculously expensive shoes and the large number of piercings he had.

the hoodie the boy had on was pretty ugly to taehyung and putting a hood up who does that? it took a bit but taehyung admits that he had an attractive face.

structured, smooth and a very fair skin tone. his nose looked cute, it would be fun to draw him. why the hell would draw him?

taehyung continued staring for a bit, he was getting irritated by the hoodie.

he is dressed like a fucking rat but he has a nice face.

"what's your name, boy?"

"...."

"i asked you a question" taehyung coughed out getting angrier .

"huh…me," the boy pointed at himself mumbling .

"who else would i be fucking talking to" why do i have to deal with this dumbass?

"oh, i am jungkook" he  whispered .

"speak up what's your full name?" taehyung rolled his eyes.

he blinked a few times, taking time to process the question before plainly answering "jeon jungkook."

"hmm," taehyung watched as jungkook got back to drawing. what's up with him?

"i’m kim taehyung by the way," jungkook nodded. are you not gonna acknowledge me?

out of annoyance he yanked his headband off accidentally and hit his head. he cringed at how sore his head felt and let out a quiver of pain.

he noticed that jungkook, what he now knew him as, was staring, he still stayed silent and turned away when taehyung opened his mouth.

taehyung had to endure a whole 2 hours of that, the awkward quiet and fairly annoying boy. he is used to getting along with everyone but this boy was different.

the teacher had given them the whole period to work on their planning but jungkook was just ignoring taehyung. he sat there drawing something unknown to the blonde.

who was also slacking off talking to his classmates instead. occasionally making a doodle in his sketchbook.

unintentionally he started drawing his partner’s figure already having memorized his side profile. it was almost a second nature for taehyung to randomly draw people, but this person was a little too random.

after coming back to his senses he panicked and started erasing, ruining the brittle paper. what the hell am i doing?

taehyung smacked his head getting pissed at himself, but that was a stupid thing to do, he groaned out loudly.

from the corner of his eye, taehyung could see sana coming over. "you keep touching your head, are you okay?" she asked, noticing the constant groaning he was doing.

"i got hurt on the bus, nothing much," he said, staring at jungkook's hood.

"aww poor thing," she brushed his cheek like it was going help.

"you should get it iced" sana pouted, it was an ugly pout but taehyung liked her too much to admit. some of her other friends joined around seeing there was only a few minutes left of class.

"taehyung did you plan what you will be doing?" one of the boys asked him.

"no, emo over here wasn't any help," he shrugged pointing to jungkook who was in his own world.

"why is someone like this paired with you anyways?" sana muttered. which wasn't something odd, just a bit rude considering no one knew him. taehyung heard her clearly, he partly agreed with it.

other people tried to talk to him, all failing when jungkook shrunk into his seat more,  latching onto his hoodie strings.

"shit i gotta go to the washroom" taehyung excused himself.

after finishing his business he returned to the classroom to see everyone was slowly heading out. he walked up to his desk and found jungkook was gone, taehyung huffed his cheeks. damn me and him ain't do any work today.

he cleaned up his table area and was getting ready to leave when he noticed something placed onto his bag. what the hell?

taehyung picked up the white little bag dropping it immediately feeling the cold temperature. which figures because after looking inside the bag he found an ice pack and headache pills.

he smiled looking at the small note, it was a cute bunny-shaped sticky note "be careful on the bus, if your head hurts too much take the medicine." it was a bit blunt but taehyung assumed sana put it there making him bubbly inside.

it was obvious to anyone who knew the blonde, that he was definitely attracted to her. which was a weird attraction considering how odd she would act around him.

taehyung knew sana had something for him too, he just never imagined them together. she was an amazing girl, just sometimes acted a bit too harshly. sana was rather nasty with her attitude.

taehyung focus

what is happening? how did i get dragged here? i look up at seokjin, this bastard has us hiding behind some palm trees and for what? to stalk the supposed "tall guy from the library."

jin had been stalking him for about a week now, always gushing about how nice he looked and the peaceful aura he radiated. which led to us on a stakeout in the school cafe.

i love him but jin is the worst cousin ever. i always get dragged into his bullshit.

first the bus ride, then that brat of a seatmate, now this. i swear i think i'm cursed, jin would know all about that though.

“jin, are you not going to wait for the supposed soulmate auntie told you about? she wouldn't like her son going against that,” i reminded him.

for someone who is devoted so "one true others" he is awfully entranced by this library guy.

"shhh, i doubt my soulmate will look anything like that,” he pointed at a blonde-haired boy with literal heart eyes. i swear if he continues staring like that i will throw up.

“and i doubt either of them would like that brown bowl on your head.”

“shut up toe” jin smacked my head without looking away from the tall guy; i turned away sitting against the trash.

“now that's just super weird to say.”

“tae, toe same thing.”

“salty that i'm right?”

“salty that my mom refuses to tell you jackshit about your soulmate.” hearing that sort of made me frown. not like i wanna know.

“i don't believe in that crap.”

“sure toe.” this bitch.

“..bowl.”

“..slug.”

“..rat.”

“..bitchface.”

“ worm...”

“jimin.”

i looked up at him “that's not an insult.”

“no dumbshit look," jin yanked my chin upto look at where he was glaring.

there he was sporting a huge hoodie, raking his hand through the newly dyed pink hair sitting beside my apparent “brother in law”.

“is jimin pulling a move on my man! oh my god,” jin gasped in an offended way, voice pitching an octave higher. so damn dramatic.

“like hell, he would,” i sat back down looking at my phone. just as i did jin also ducked down bumping heads.

"the fuck,"

"he saw me, shit!" bowl head practically yelled. i was about to complain when my phone started vibrating.

it was from jimin "namjoon wants to talk to jinnie" with a bunch of emojis. typical jimin.

i'm guessing namjoon must be the tall guy. standing up, i noticed how they were waving at us, namjoon looking especially happy.

it was hard but i dragged jin over to where jimin was seated, jimin clapped his hands when we came over, exchanging a bored smile.

namjoon just sat there amused, smiling at jin who avoided the boy's eyes like they were going to trap him.

he has a few defining features, sharp eyes, blonde hair, very deep dimples and a shirt which showed off his muscles well.

"so...hello," the dimpled boy smiled trying to catch seokjin's attention. of course, jin ignored him.

"i'm namjoon, i take journalism here," he says to seokjin who found interest in studying the floor tiles.

"taehyung," i extended an arm for a handshake, if this shit won’t greet the "love of his life" i will.

"i major in arts, it's nice to meet you, this is my cousin-"

seokjin right? i heard a lot about you" he interrupts me diverting all his attention back to jin.

i swear i could see a spark in both of their eyes when jin looked back up. that was weird-

"um i am on my-" jin was about to talk bit was interrupted by namjoon.

"last year right? so am i haha," he paused a bit, smile flattening. "..wait i seem so creepy right now." jin hurries to nod no when namjoon continues. "it's just jimin talks a lot about you." he points a finger at him.

"not at all jinnie! he asks about you daily," jimin finally speaks up.

"he asks about me?" jin freezes.

"jin you never stop babbling about namjoon either," i added enjoying the red flush which was invading both their cheeks.

jin hid himself behind his hands, namjoon stayed still probably planning on ways to kill jimin and i.

"oh god look at jinnies ears now! " jimin giggled out. which made jin hide even more.

"jimin cut it out," namjoon smacked his head. i was going to say something but was met with a smack as well from my beloved cousin.

"aww look at them they are like a couple,"

"shut up, i will shove this down your throat," jin held up a threatening straw.

"how about no, " namjoon got up and leaned over, drawing jin's shoulders down, which surprisingly calmed him down?

jimin had to leave for class but said he would text me about what happened. i sat there watching the two interact.

all of jin's big talk about finding his soulmate had gone to waste it seems.

ignoring how they dismissed the presence of the beauty known as me, it was quite intriguing to see them talk to each other.

they were literally exposing ways of stalking one another but laughing it off. forget his soulmate these two were made for each other.

i spent my time sipping my strawberry smoothie ordered by namjoon. if he is my brother in law i wouldn't mind at all, good eye jinnie.

i was observing namjoon. he had a strong build and a comfy style. he had a deep voice that was layered with softness matching the look he was giving jin.

he looks so whipped, i swear jimin needs to explain. i am confused about what's happening in front of me.

man, they met 10 minutes ago and they're already out here looking like they are married. poking dimples, exchanging numbers, how cute. disgusting.

noticing how they were still ignoring me adorned in each other’s eyes i decided to make my escape, i do have a class in a bit anyway.

on my way exiting the cafe i looked back to my cousin once again, it was warming to see him like this once again poking namjoon's dimples. dimples.

dimples are cute, little imprints that stay hidden until a joyous event summons them. it would be nice to be the cause of someone smiling enough to cause dents in their cheek.

i sat down on a bench outside waiting for my next class. picking out my sketchbook i traced my hands over the crossed out sketch from this morning.

jungkook has dimples from what i remember...was he even smiling? i didn't notice, but he had dimples like trenches on his cheeks. they were well defined on the groove of his cheek.

it's always an experience to study people's face and every wrinkle and line that is roughed on their skins. i rarely have models, when i do it's usually easy to paint it out.

the brunette boy...his sketch came easiest to me.

wait why am i thinking of that bastard.

i look down to see i had already started redrawing him too, i wanted to scratch it out; my hands just refused to.

fuck him for having a nice side profile, i still hate him.

i continued on the sketch, it was easy to draw. he seemed to be etched in my mind the image coming naturally.

with a conflicted feeling on my almost perfect portrait, i left for my next class. hoping the day would go faster. it was barely four and the wildest shit had happened.

later that night as i was headed over to jimin's house to discuss how jin got set up with someone who made him forget all his dreams of meeting "his true other half".

auntie will be mad about this one but good for jin. that asscrack deserves someone good.

either way i didn't believe in any of the soulmate bullshit either way. how are you going to dictate if someone is good just cause the universe says so?

my family was totally formed around the whole idea, having someone who you are meant to unite with from past lives. i don't remember the last time i thought it could be true.

memories, and stories of those days are stored in my enfant years. the years in which i had nothing to think about, it was silly to imagine those days. jin and i were so young.

jimin was already waiting at the door for me. "tae!" he ran to me with a huge smile, hugging me tight. he didn't have time to do this earlier.

"hi," i smiled fixing his messed up hair "...you have to explain what i saw today."

grinning wider at my statement he pulled me up to his room. on the way there i waved to mrs.park who knew me very well.

seating me down on the bean bags at the end if his bed, i was left alone for a bit while he went and got snacks.

i notice the newly put up pictures of us, over the years we collected many memories capturing them in a singular polaroid photo.

jimin had them lined up with strings over above his desk. i chuckled at how many pictures had us in it.

i went up to what i remembered as my first meaningful memory with jimin. a picture which was creasing in the side, from when we were 15.

it was us wearing matching beanies posing with stuffed animals we had won at a fair. i still have the plushie laying somewhere.

jin can be seen in the back as well munching on a candy apple. this was shortly after jimin's birthday. it had been a few months since we met.

seokjin gifted him the camera which he still uses to take pictures.

i was always picky when it came to people, it was easy to talk to others and make friends. as long as i had interest in them.

at first i couldn't stand how persistent jimin was trying to talk to me. he even befriended my cousin?

what i didn't know was seokjin approached him first and talked him into helping me around. seokjin was 3 years higher than us so he would graduate soon.

he found "good vibes" from jimin so he approached him. i am glad he did though, the three of us ended up so close now.

i got pulled away from the pictures with a back hug lifting me up.

"god damn how are you so short but so strong?" i asked after he placed me down on the bed.

he rolled his eyes and flicked a finger on my forehead. that hurt bad. deserved.

rubbing my head i snatched the lollipop he was going to eat and glared at him. he just shrugged and opened another one.

i looked back to his wall, on it was one of the paintings i had made for him years ago. he followed my eyes beaming at the piece.

"i kept it, you let me help with it, remember?" it was funny hearing that, he was too scared he would mess it up but it was made with his handprints.

"do you have anything you are working on now? anything in class?" i groaned at the mention of class.

i liked it but this just reminded me of a certain asshole who managed to get on all my nerves at once.

"what's with the sour face?"

"just this shit i was paired with, jeon jungkook. he was such an asshole, fucking pissed me off." jimin noted the name.

"oh i have never seen you so mad.. what did he look like?" i remembered the sketch i made earlier.

i walked to my bag which was discarded on the floor, pulling out my sketchbook. i flipped through the pages, them handed it to jimin.

he studied the image before speaking "he looks pretty? i don't know why you have a picture drawn of him, he looks nice." jimin tilted his head handing back the book.

"i am telling you i hate him,"

"did he not smile? i am lost here. you usually don't like gloomy people." he nodded knowingly.

i recalled what i saw, did he smile...no? he did look gloomy. but not the annoyed tired gloomy. just a quiet, annoyingly quiet.

maybe if he smiled i would like him better, he probably has a cute smile, dimples and all.

wait why am i thinking about his dimples again. goddamn do you have something for dimples now taehyung? they were cute.

i was brought back to reality with jimin throwing a chip bag at me. which i awkwardly opened realising i blanked off again.

"what were you thinking about this time? you looked lost," he rolled his eyes. i really zone off a lot now.

"hmm just about how your height was added onto your ass instead,"

"did you just call me short again?"

"but i called your ass fat,"

"but you called me short,"

"but my compliment cancels that out,"

"i am not even that short you hoe,"

"at least i can be labeled a hoe, when's the last time you went out with someone?"

"shut up toe," he huffed crunching on the lollipop, the sound was unpleasant.

"what's with you guys calling me toe?"

"you have a foot fetish."

"and you have a hand kink."

"touché," we sat there for a moment in silence. "so you wanna know about namjoon?"

"do i? bitch i've been waiting," i clapped my hands.

"so okay where do i start? you know how jinnie had been stalking him?" i nodded , cracking open some juice.

"he once took me with him to go watch namjoon in the library. some boy came and sat down to talk with him. while jinnie was busy cussing at him i realised i knew the boy."

"oh my god from where?"

"he was in medical with me, we talked before so i hatched a plan." he explained how he planned to talk to namjoon while I sipped on the orange juice.

but i sipped too loud for jimin's liking earning me a smack on the wrist. i need new friends mine keep hurting me.

"two weeks ago namjoon came to talk to his friend hoseok. i got acquainted with him. he is a cool guy and i would often talk about jinnie. you know planting the seed."

"jimin you genius lemme," i gave him a deserved kiss on the forehead at which he pushed me away snickering.

"why am i your friend…" he wiped his forehead while i glared in an offended way.

"anyways turns out the seed was already there, namjoon noticed jin too but was too shy to approach him." hearing that i started attacking jimin's arm, he doing the same.

we had huge grins etched on our faces.

we started giggling a bit too loud which drew the attention of jimin's brother who was resting in his room trying to read.

"jimin, taehyung shut the fuck up!"

"hey? language, stop yelling" mrs. park yelled back.

"sorry mom"

"yeah shut up!" jimin yelled.

"jimin you too," mrs.park said again.

"sorry mom," he looked down and i had to hold in my laughter.

"annoying little brat, let me get back on track. so namjoon would ask me about jinnie, this went on until today. thank god you were there to drag him up," he patted my back muttering good work.

"if only they made progress, the two have been crushing on each other for months," he sighed, opening a third chip bag.

"no jimin they did, man they were all over eachother it was a fucking love nest, rubbing hands poking cheeks, i seen it all." i gagged remembering the heart eyes.

"oh my god tell me more,"

before i could proceed i got a phone call from the lovebird himself. "jimin it's jin, can i?"

"go ahead," he motioned, crushing another cheese ball under his teeth. i picked up the phone.

"taehyung.."

"yes?"

"i have something to confess,"

"jin if it's that you love me i'm afraid i have to rej-"

"namjoon might be my soulmate, like the one mom told me about, " he said in one breath.

"that’s nice…." they are soulmates i see, i gave jimin a nod.

"wait…." i processed what he said "..what the fuck?"
