Chapter Text
Azuma doesn’t sleep with all his boyfriends. Usually, he either sleeps alone—since all of them have separate beds—or with Hisoka, who still has his habit of slipping into bed with him. But when given the chance, Azuma likes to sleep with the others, whether just one or a few.
Tonight, he invites Guy into his arms.
The nightmares are easier when you wake up in the arms of your lover; that’s what Azuma believes, though it also washes away in the arms of anyone. When he’s with Guy, though, or the others, he can allow himself to cry from the nightmares and have gentle fingers wipe away his silent tears.
And Azuma would do the same for Guy, every single time, though Guy’s nightmares are more panicked and sweaty than Azuma’s own full of cold, still sadness.
“Do you think you’ll be okay this week?” Guy says. Even though Azuma rarely gets nightmares, Guy is so considerate of him, every single time. He keeps coming home to Azuma with that sincere smile of his, hand reaching for him ever so gently.
Azuma hums thoughtfully. “Of course I will. I have all of you with me,” he smiles, and if there’s any sadness at the edges of his lips then Guy kisses it away when he leans in.
Guy’s lips are soft, but he pulls back quickly.
Azuma rests his head on Guy’s shoulder, breathing out against his collarbones, and together they drift into a soft, gentle sleep.
