Summary
It was a dark, quiet night. Most of the shops and establishments had already closed. The roads were almost empty, with only stray animals roaming. In a deserted alleyway, two men were facing each other, one calmly pointing a gun at the other's forehead. The other man was shaking in fear, bargaining with the gun-wielder even after knowing his demise was inevitable.
"L–let me go! Lan Wangji, you cannot kill me like this!" The man said, pretending to be brave.
"Can't I." The reply was more of a statement than a question.
