Work Text:
“Antonio, you scoundrel !”
The sentence was quickly cut off by giggling, as the violinist nudged Joseph against the bed, showering the smaller man in kisses.
“Oh, do you think you can get away with what you did just by giving me affection, mon cheri ?”
There was a long pause, as Antonio stared at Joseph, before giving the other kisses against his neck. It caused the photographer to begin giggling again, squirming to get into a more comfortable position with the other.
“Okay. . . maybe you can . . . But don’t think I won’t forgive you for trying to defeat the survivors when I told you we were going friendly. . . ” The white-haired man pouted, pressing clawed hands against the violinist's bare chest. “Half of them shot me with flare guns because they thought I’d attack them like you did. . .”
Antonio frowned then, burying their face in Joseph’s neck. “I did not mean to. . . dearest. . .”
At that, the photographer sighed, placing a hand against their hat, before lifting it off of their head. “It was a cool hat, but I think I prefer seeing you like this. . .” With that, he nudged Antonio until the two were facing each other, only to move their hair away from their eyes, grinning. “I like this.”
Squirming again, this time from Antonio. It causes their hair to flop back into place, prompting a stubborn huff out of the photographer.
“I wanna see the rest of your body. I want to admire it. . . admire you.” he purred, cupping their cheeks again, before squeaking as the taller lifted him, giving him a soft kiss.
“I wish. . . to see yours as well . . .”
Joseph wasn’t expecting that, and it became clear in how he puffed up and got even more flustered than he already was. The photographer placed his hands on Antonio’s shoulders, gripped down, and shook himself out. “ Monsieur Paganini. . . Are you certain ? I am. . . not much to look at. . .”
“Please. Just Antonio. We have intertwined our hearts for months. . .” They pause, sighing. “I am certain. But. . .” Gently kissing Joseph’s cheek. “Only if you are comfortable, sunshine. . .”
The photographer sighed, playing with the red scarf around his neck, ignoring the jangling of multiple accessories clinking together. “Yes, Antonio. I am perfectly comfortable, just. . .” trying to piece his words together. “Can we. . .You. You first ? I’d feel a little less awkward then. . .”
“Of course. . .” The violinist practically cooed, as they gently took the smaller man’s hand, chuckling lightly as he brought his own hands down to Antonio’s trousers. He felt as if half the job was done already; he’d already removed everything covering their upper body earlier. He fumbled, just a little, with their zipper, feeling even more awkward after doing so.
“ Je regrette . . .”
“Do not apologize, my love. . .”
“ Mais- ”
“No buts. It’s okay if you are a little awkward . . . This is our first time seeing one another’s bodies. . . “ They lean forward, placing a gentle finger to Joseph’s forehead. “I will not be angry for small fumbles such as that.”
That caused the photographer to pause, and then sniffle. Antonio leaned back, somewhat worried, as tears began to leak down his cheeks, lip puffed out in a pout, and he whined. Which simply elevated Antonio’s worries, as they turned their head to the side, and frowned.
“Did I say something wrong . . . ? Used the wrong word. . . ?”
Joseph took a moment to catch his breath, tears still slipping down at a rapid pace.
“I’ve just-” oh, there’s a hiccup. “Mon envoûtant mélodie. . . I’m just terrified, I. . .” The small photographer began to whisper then, the only thing keeping their voice from reaching a whimpering tone. “I’m so afraid you’ll hate me . . . Or you’ll find my body disgusting, or find me disgusting, just like other men back when I was still alive-” Tears were falling fast now, snot dribbling down his nose. “I’d always be told how I wasn’t enough of a man for them and-”
Antonio gently cupped their hand over Joseph’s mouth then, before leaning in, giving him a soft kiss once they moved their hand away. “They didn’t understand what they had. . .” they mumbled, cupping his cheeks. “They didn’t understand that they had the best man they’d ever known with them. . .” Another kiss. “I am not those other men, Joseph. . .”
The photographer whined, weeping, as he wrapped his arms around the other, and gripped down on their bare hips. “ Je regrette . . . Je regrette, mon cheri. . .”
“There is no need to apologize. . .” There was no anger in Antonio’s tone as they took gentle hold of his scarf, moving one hand upwards somewhat to rub their thumb up against his cheek. “I will love you all the same, Joseph. . . Sick or healthy. . . Rain and snow. . . No matter where you go, dear, my love will find you. . .”
Joseph exhales softly, before helping to pull off the scarf, and glancing away. “You’re. . . So cheesy sometimes, Antonio. . .”
The only reply was Antonio kissing Joseph’s neck, wrapping their arms around the other- which only caused him to whine softly, closing his eyes.
“Is something the matter. . . Do you no longer wish to do this. . . ? Or are we going too fast. . . ?”
Slightly startled, the photographer rose up slightly, opening up his eyes and glancing down at the man- quickly taking gentle hold of a chunk of hair that ended in a blue mouth-like formation, similar to a snake. Holding it gently, he began to run his hands against the strand, looking to Antonio. “Oh, nothing is the matter, mon cheri. . . Do not fret about this being too fast. . . I am still perfectly okay with this.” He drops the hair then, cupping Antonio’s cheeks, leaning in to give them a soft kiss.
Blink blink. The violinist leaned into his touch, purring, before blinking as Joseph tugged off his belt, and the shimmied out of what was left. He leaned back slightly, now just in his undergarments.
Quietly, Antonio sighs, leaning in to give the other a kiss, once again purring as the photographer pulls their hand to his boxers, and allows them to pull his boxers down.
“You’re so . . .” A giggle, and then a kiss. “Indescribably perfect. No song nor painting nor even a photograph could capture it. . .”
“And yet,” Speaking smoothly, the violinist nuzzled the other, biting down gently on his ear. “You would still try your best to do so. . . You’re stubbornly determined. . .”
Squirming as he wraps his arms around Antonio, Joseph seemed happy as he ran a hand into their hair. “Well, when I have all the time to do so, I will gladly try my hardest in order to do so . . . But it’s not necessary. . . I have you with me.”
Seeming content, the violinist purred once more, and rubbed up against the photographer, getting comfortable on top of the other. They didn’t do much else; simply lay there on top of the smaller man, allowing him to run his hands through their hair. He felt happy; laying here with his lover in his arms, listening to the quiet noises they made. It made him smile, as he continued to run his hands through their hair.
“I hope we can do this more often. . .”
“Did you enjoy what you saw, dear. . . ?”
“. . . Of course I did, Antonio. And now I will enjoy being able to fall asleep next to you. . .”
The two exchanged one more kiss, Joseph finding a way to sneak a peek at Antonio’s face under their hair as they did so once again.
Yes, the two were content. . . and happy.
