Thyme POV
"What are you doing here?!" I exclaimed.
Kavin just smirked. "Why do you think am here? Well, why don't you ask someone."
Ask who?
"Didn't you confess? You wanted to see someone else too."
Is he talking about-
Rya.
I quickly opened my phone and texted Rya.
Rya
Where are you?
Suddenly a notification sound went off. Kavin took his phone out and smirked. He typed something then looked at me. He had this suspicious smirk on his face.
I got a notification. I quickly opened it and I feel like my whole body went numb.

Hello Thyme. It's me
Kavin.
"It's you?!"
"Of course it's me. Who do you expect to help you?"
I just stood there. Looking at him. Maintaining eye contact. I had so many questions, was it out of a fit of anger? Revenge? Or did he just wanted to make fun of me?
"Why?"
"Why what?"
"Why did you do this?" or moreover, from everyone else, why was it him?
"Wanted you to get a taste of your own medicine Thyme."
"Just because I broke you? That's why?! Do you realize how selfish you are?"
"Am not selfish. The world is. Do you expect me to just sit here, just easily forgive you and move on with my goddamn life? No. Get a taste of your own medicine. You ruined me. And in return for your favor, I ruined you. I knew Gorya was in love with Ren, so I had to just use Ren."
"You could've used me! Why him!?"
He chuckled then stood up. I was confused. Was he leaving me?
"Friendship. Which is now broken by the way.
But I can predict something." He cut my thoughts by speaking up. "I could've helped Ren though. Gorya ran after him. They must be somewhere." He then looked at me and smirked.
"Maybe confessing feelings and then smooching."
My brain is just blank. I can't think of anything. Kavin took a deep breath. "But still." He spoke up. "It's so pathetic you know."
"What more pathetic?!"
"You. You are."
"What?!"
"Are you deaf? It's you! You who is the most pathetic human, I have ever came across! You are the human I became friends with, you are the one who broke me, you are the one who came back. It's pathetic!"
Silence.
"Now about your forgiveness, I will never forgive you Thyme. Till the day I am alive, when I snatch that first place of your company, show the world what you did, and see you rot in hell."
"Fuck you!"
"Yo, calm your dick. We are basically talking, not fucking."
I feel my face getting heated up. The audacity of this man!
"Now that you have no friends, I will see how you will cope up.
It's getting late, so now I have to go,"
He is just leaving me here, just like this? In the middle of the beach? A cold breeze came, sending shivers in my spine, he started walking away, but the tension in the atmosphere was still there.
"One more!"
He turned around, confusion in his eyes. "What?"
"Was it true?"

"That you were in love with me?"
A wave of silence came. We stood there, in bare feet, in front of the sea, in the dark, staring at each other. Time felt like it stopped. It felt like we were the only people present, all the other surroundings were a blur, but him. I was focused on him.
"Who told you this?"
"Someone."
"Who is that someone!?" He shouted, which caught me off-guard.
"You..." I said silently. I didn't think he heard me, but oh, he did. He shouted at me which caught me off guard.
"What do you mean me?!"
"Its You..."
"How-"
"Remember when you told me that you dated Nene, back months ago, when I was sad. Youre gay Kavin. How can you date someone when you don't even like the opposite gender?"
He went stiff. His body language shifted.
"You broke up with her, yea because she was a gold digger, but you wanted to move on. From me. Kavin Metawin, you wanted to move on."
"No I never wanted to-"
"What's the point of lying when learned the truth? You can say ye-"
