Summary
Somewhere in an alternate universe, Vergil is angry because he has not seen Dante during the events of the Qliphoth, neither when he was split into V and Urizen, nor as himself. When Trish and Lady let him know that Dante committed suicide some time after Mallet island, he becomes determined to find his brother even if in another universe.
Meanwhile in a more familiar universe, three years after the Qliphoth, Vergil has patched up his relationship both with his brother and with his son. He is living and working with Dante, but he is about to learn some new and perhaps disturbing information about Dante's past when a portal opens in front of him, and somebody looking exactly like himself walks out.
