   Summary

The position on New Vulcan was an important one. Xenobiologists, long held at arm's reach by the Vulcan Science Academy, were now vital to the species surviving. Vulcans from every corner of the quadrant had been called home to reorganize, and of course eventually repopulate. Which was how one Leonard McCoy found himself playing midwife to a group of ungrateful hobgoblins stuck out in some artificial desert
