    “Are you asking me for some sort of reward, boy?” Kyoujurou leans back further- if only a smidge- looking down at his student with an unreadable expression. His arms cross over his broad chest, a few strands of wild blonde and red hair falling from his messy ponytail to frame his face. There’s a beat of silence where Tanjirou averts his gaze, staring off to the side for a moment. He plays with the thoughts in his head, a response forming before he finally looks back up to meet that unrelenting gaze.

    “I’m sure it’d give me some encouragement, Sensei.”

    (Or: Kyoujurou only rewards good behavior.)
