Work Text:
Twilight let out a sigh, his shoulders slightly slacked. “Even now, Zetsuran is much stronger than me,” he said, chuckling softly with a defeated look.
“Well,” smugly began the Dragon Lady, “I’ve heard from the Princess that all you do now is sit on your desk, completing your paperwork. One after another to no end!”
He scratched his cheek lightly, clearly embarrassed, “that’s right…”
Before he knew it, Zetsuran knelt before him and placed a hand on his shoulder, “whenever you’re free, you’re more than welcome to train with me.”
“Like we used to?” curiously asked Twilight.
“Uh-huh!”
And there came a slight smile to his face, “that would be great.”
Soon enough, as he said those words, she staggered a few steps back from him. Her hands hurrying to cover her reddening face which made him wonder if he said anything wrong.
But much to his relief, it didn’t seem to be the case as she removed one hand from her face and stretched it out to him.
“W–We better head back now,” she told him, her tone a bit too nervous for some reason.
Perhaps she was just nervous around him for not being in contact in a long while now.
Well, hopefully with their frequent meetups and training, she’ll eventually get used to him.
“All right,” and he gladly took her hand.
