Chapter Text
"We have Mr. Minecraft for homeroom, right?" Tommy asked as he fell behind Ranboo and Tubbo
"Yeah. Now hurry up! We might be late because you're so slow!" Tubbo giggled
"Shut the fuck up!"
Tommy caught up with the two, who were sharing schedules. Tommy peered over to Tubbo's schedule and briefly read over the paper.
"Tubbo! We have the same classes! Poggers, mate!"
"Yeah! We all have the same classes! We get to be together!" Ranboo chimed in
"Yeah. unlike last year." Tubbo sighed, remembering the terrible year that was freshmen year. He wasn’t in any of the same classes as Tommy and he had to be separated from him at lunch. And Ranboo wasn’t at the school yet, of course. Regardless, he knew this was gonna be a great year. Tubbo fiddled with his ram necklace as the trio walked quickly to their first class of the day.
Tubbo sat down in his seat, giggling at something stupid Tommy said. Mr. Minecraft started talking and the whole class quieted down. The trio sat in the back row together (which was a bad decision on Mr. Minecraft’s part) This was gonna be the best sophomore year of his life.
He smiled as Mr. Minecraft babbled something about the schedule and the classes for the semester, and other things Tubbo didn’t bother to pay attention to. Tubbo saw Tommy grab a sticky note and scribble something on it, passing it to Ranboo. Ranboo was the one who was paying attention, trying to be a good student, as his freshmen year wasn’t the best for him grade-wise. Ranboo stared at the note and nodded. Ranboo turned to his left and handed Tubbo the note.
“Pass this to Tubbo!!!! Meet at in front of the school during lunch period. I have a plan!!!
Sincerely pogging, Tommy”
Tubbo laughed at the signature. He threw a small thumbs up at Tommy and crumbled the note up.
Classes passed and homework was assigned, even though it was the first day. It was reaching the last 15 minutes of the lunch period and Tommy had disappeared. Ranboo and Tubbo assumed that he had left to go to the front of the school where they were meeting. Ranboo and Tubbo stood up and walked out of the cafeteria, giggling about something stupid. Walking down the halls to the front door, pushing it open. They saw Tommy awkwardly standing by the bike rack. Tubbo and Ranboo ran up to Tommy and greeted him.
“Eyyyy my mans! I have a plan.” Tommy started
“What’s the plan big man?” Tubbo asked
“Wilbur works at the cafe down the street and I think Niki is there too. So, I want to go annoy them. Right when school gets out we are going to walk down to the cafe. There also might be some other people that will show up that we can annoy!”
“Oh. That’ll be fun. I have to drop off Wilbur’s TNT necklace, anyways. He lost it last Friday and I found it and I told him I would get it to him as soon as I could.” Ranboo added on.
“Hopefully Purpled will be there too. He owes me homework answers.” Tubbo said.
“Why the fuck does Purpled, of all people, owe you, my best friend, homework?”
“I gave him my extra donut and some spare cash.”
“Makes sense.” Tommy nodded while checking the time on his phone. “We have Mr. Schlatt’s ELA class in like, 5 minutes.”
“Oh. We should get going.” Ranboo uttered.
The trio entered the building once again and started laughing about Ranboo being the only one in the trio not having a parent who works at the school.
Eventually, the three made it to their ELA class, again realizing they were in the same row, next to each other.
All classes have ended and Tommy waited outside for the two boys to finish packing up and finish setting up their lockers. And they said he was a slowpoke. He sighed.
Ranboo and Tubbo came out of the double doors and Tommy saw the usual sight. Ranboo awkwardly listening to Tubbo's tired talk and fidgeting with his enderpearl necklace and Tubbo talking about something that probably doesn't make sense at all. But, Tommy was happy with his friends no matter how different they were from each other.
“Hi, Tubbo! Hi, Ranboob!” Tommy waved
“I hate that nickname…” Ranboo nervously giggled
“But it’s funny! Ranboob.”
“Tubbo… Tuboob…” Tommy snickered “Ha. I am far superior! There is no way you can turn my name into boob!”
“Tomboob.” Tubbo protested against Tommy’s statement
“Shut the fuck up. Let’s get going!”
They walked down the street and reached the petite cafe, Nihachu cafe.
“Nihachu cafe is a shit name!”
“Don’t insult Niki and Wilbur! I think it’s a great name, Toms.” Tubbo announced
“You only say that because Niki is your older sister,” Ranboo added
“You guys are so mean to me!”
Tubbo pushed open the door sadly, due to his friend’s teasing. Niki and Wilbur greeted the three boys with a smile and a sweet “Hi!”
“Hiya Tubbo, Ranboo, and Tommy!”
“Hi, Niki!” “Hello, Niki Nihachu” “Good afternoon Niki!” The three answered
“Wow, no hi for me?” Wilbur pouted.
Tommy patted the older’s back, “It’s okay, Will. I am a real one and will say Hi to you. Hello Wilbur Soot.”
“Thank you, Tommy” Wilbur jokingly rolled his eyes.
“We only came to annoy you, Wilbur, according to Tommy.” Tubbo happily said.
“And that’s exactly what we’re gonna do!” Tommy announced to the empty cafe.
Tubbo and Tommy walked away to a table and sat down. Ranboo pulled the TNT necklace out of his pocket and walked up to the counter, handing the necklace to Wilbur.
“Here’s the necklace,” Ranboo muttered
“Thank you Ranboo! I was scared I lost it. Especially since Phil gave it to me.”
“You’re welcome, Wilbur!” He smiled and walked off.
Wilbur smiled and asked Niki to put the necklace on him. These necklaces were special to everyone in the city of L’manburg. They all represented the origins of their ancestors. Ranboo had an enderpearl, which represented his long line of endermen family. Tubbo had a ram necklace, representing his dad and his long line of ram hybrids behind him. Wilbur had a TNT one, to represent his destructive ancestors. But, Wilbur decided to not continue this destiny and not blow up anything. Nonetheless, the necklace was still special to him. Lastly, Niki was special. She had two necklaces. One, a fish. And the other, a cupcake. She had come from bakers and also fish hybrids.
Tommy, though, was even more special. He wasn’t born from a line of hybrid species. He didn’t have a family. So, he was a mystery child. No one knew where he came from and why he was here. But, Phil decided to adopt him. He is rumored to be the only one in the city who doesn’t have a necklace.
“Why are you guys ignoring me?!” Tommy yelled at Ranboo and Tubbo.
“Sorry. Spaced out.” Tubbo mumbled
“Me too,” Ranboo responded
“Okay. Well, snap back into it because I have something to say!” And he started his rambling about something very stupid. Tubbo lost himself in the conversation and smiled.
This was gonna be a great year.
