While there are many rumors about just what happened in section HCS7, and what caused one of the largest containment breaches following one of the largest group captures in decades, no one really knows what happened. No one, that is, except those who bore witness. I can't tell you who I am; they already suspect enough.

There was silence for a while, and for some reason, Julia found herself unwilling to look up and see Trevor’s reaction. Her heart rate had sped up, and she was suddenly worried for the first time that ‘The Hunt’ may have given him the power to sense that sort of thing. Eventually, she heard him make a noise of realisation.
“No, y’don’t mean the shed bloke, do you?”
Julia laughed, the sound bursting out of her chest.
“That’ll be the one, yep.”

Melanie: And we’re really not kidding about the level of dangerous here. We had to sign a practically novel-length waiver, listing some of the potential horrific consequences, such as full-body infestation by things like worms, beetles, mould and eyeballs. Other clauses included ‘invasive fog’, ‘wholesale personality replacement’, ‘dismemberment by instalments’ and ‘becoming a light after-dinner snack for the sky’. Which actually, would be my preferred way to go, if it comes to it.
