Chapter Text
Hajime looked at him in disbelief. Of course he knew male Omegas could get pregnant, everyone did. But for some reason he never thought Oikawa Tooru would.
“Iwa-chan..? Are.. you okay?” Toru asked shyly. Hajime looked up, abandoning his thoughts. He gave a small smile before answering.
“I’m more than okay. We’re gonna be parents, Toru,” They both looked like they were about to cry. Toru nodded at his husband, tears starting to fall down onto his cheek. He placed the pregnancy test down and wrapped Hajime in a tight hug.
“Parents,” He whispered into his ear. Hajime’s thoughts flooded with pictures of what their child would look like; many different female and male names ran across Toru’s head like movie credits. “What do you think they’ll be like?”
“I don’t know yet.. We’ll just have to see, baby.” Hajime hummed, rubbing his back with one hand, his other hand occupied by caressing his cheek.
Toru yelled out to his husband who was downstairs, wanting attention. He was three months pregnant, starting the second trimester. Iwaizumi ran upstairs to hold his significant other’s hand.
“It’s okay--and you have your ultrasound today. We should probably get you ready.” Toru nodded and sat up. He rubbed his stomach, if it was out of pain or adoration Hajime didn’t know. Him and Hajime had this routine where the latter would pick out his clothes and help Toru get into them. Hajime had an okay sense of style, according to Toru.
“Thank you, Iwa. Looks good,” Toru praised. Hajime smiled and held his hand on the walk downstairs. They hopped into the car, happy they would most likely find out the gender. They had already started brainstorming names. Atsushi Iwaizumi-Oikawa if it was a boy, Chiasa Iwaizumi-Oikawa for a girl.
They didn’t care what gender they were, as long as they were healthy. From the first few ultrasounds they pretty much ruled out the option of twins, so they didn’t have to worry about that.
The couple arrived at the hospital sooner than expected. They held each other's hands while waiting for the doctor to call them back. “Iwaizumi-Oikawa Toru?” The two turned their attention to the voice, smiling and getting up.
“You can just call me Toru if that's easier.” The doctor nodded.
“Okay, Toru-san. I’m Doctor Kenji. It seems you’ve started your second trimester, good job,” the doctor muttered while scrolling through his computer notes. Once he was finished he looked straight at the couple again with a smile.
“Can we have you climb up onto the table, please?” Hajime helped Toru up. “Great. I’m going to lift up your shirt, place this gel-like stuff on your stomach, then rub this on it.” He pointed to a silver, hand held device that they saw last visit. “Today we are going to find out the gender, make sure they’re healthy, and address any concerns you have had. Let’s get this bad boy started!”
Doctor Kenji lifted up Oikawa's shirt gently, as he said he would. He went across the room and picked up a purple bottle, squeezing its contents onto his palm. After the bottle was capped and placed down, he rubbed his hands together, just to place them on Toru’s bare skin.
Toru jolted from the cold, glaring at Hajime when he laughed. “You try having freezing cold hands on you,” he mumbled.
“Actually, I have gloves on. The gel just happens to be very cold,” he shrugged, massaging Toru’s stomach. “Sorry that the cold lingers--needs to be that way so the patient can tell me if I missed a spot from the end to start of the bump.” When Toru didn’t answer the implied question he asked, “Did I miss a part?”
“Huh? Oh, no, no you didn’t. Sorry.” Doctor Kenji smiled, moving to grab the device and something that resembled a remote. He put the device where his hands were, hitting a button that turns on a screen in front of where Toru was laying. It was black and white, reserved for an oval-like shape. It had what looked like a baby--because it was --and Toru thought it was the most precious thing in the world.
“Looks like a female. Because this is your first child, according to records, it’s determined whether they’re an alpha, omega, or beta once they’re born. She seems healthy--and is already turned the right way. Has she been kicking?”
“Yea, more so when i'm sleeping though,” Toru answered. Doctor Kenji nodded, taking notes with a pen and paper he picked up.
“She’s a feisty one, ey?” Toru and Hajime smiled. “Any names in mind, yet?”
“We agreed on Chiasa for a girl,” Hajime said. Doctor Kenji smiled thoughtfully.
“I like that name. It means a thousand mornings, correct?” Toru hummed to signal that he was right. “I’m going to wipe the gel off for you,” He placed down the machine, grabbing a wet towel and a dry one. Doctor Kenji wiped most of it off with the dry one, getting any access gel removed with the wetter one. “Now that we’ve finished that , do you have any questions or concerns?”
The couple looked at each other before looking back to the doctor. They both shook their heads. Doctor Kenji nodded, bowing and saying goodbye after a few more minutes.
The ride home was relatively quiet, save for the radio person babbling on about new merchandise that MAPPA studios was giving out in order to salvage the last season for their viewers. The couple paid no mind, not interested in Attack on Titan anyways.
“Baby--she’s kicking again.” Toru said, rubbing his stomach while laying on their shared bed once they were settling down to sleep. Hajime nodded, pulling up Toru’s shirt and sweetly kissing his stomach. Toru smiled when somehow, shockingly enough, the kicking calmed down. “Thank y--,” His words became muffled when Iwaizumi decided to kiss him roughly.
He demanded dominance, pushing his tongue all the way into Oikawa’s mouth. He searched everywhere, Toru letting out little whines of enjoyment. “If you get me horny--you’re jerking me off.” Toru said when they pulled away to breath. The kissing started up again, much to Toru’s actual liking.
Hajime did, eventually, have to jack off his husband.
“Spill. The. Tea .” Kotarou Bokuto demanded the next day, letting himself in. Kotarou was an alpha, and of course Hajime trusted him, but he still wanted to be near the omega. Right as Kotarou had burst through the door, Hajime had quickly scent marked him.
“Okay, okay, first, where’s Keji and Fuji?” Toru asked, looking behind the male. A shorter male, Bokuto Keji, made his way into the house, holding hands with a little boy, as if on cue. He closed the door tightly behind him, making sure to lock it. Kotarou scent marked him, then asked for the ‘tea.’ Toru was very tempted to kick him out right then and there.
Fuji ran up to his Uncle Toru and motioned for him to lift him up. Toru did, rubbing his soft black hair. “Uncle Toru! Guess what! Guess what!” Fuji yelled excitedly, leaving no room for his uncle to answer. “Mommy and Daddy said I can do soccer!!”
“Really? That’s so cool Fuji! I bet you’ll be the best player in the world!” His nephew smiled widely, agreeing. “Do you wanna play some Just Dance? Uncle Hajime can play with you!” Toru looked at his husband, knowing he can't refuse.
“Yes!” Toru placed him down. “Uncle Hajime come, come!” He grabbed his uncle's hand and ran away to their living room, distant noises of a nintendo switch turning on.
“Tea.” Kotarou demanded.
“Woah. It’s a girl? I was totally expecting a boy,” The Alpha said. Toru nodded in honest agreement. “What do you think they're gonna be?”
“Omega or Beta--she isn’t too active. But she definitely seems to have a gift to annoy her mother,” Toru sighed, rolling his eyes. Kotarou and Keji nodded. Keiji had the same problem when he was pregnant with Fuji.
“Mommy! Uncle Hajime keeps letting me win!” The mini Alpha complained, running back into the kitchen. Hajime followed closely behind him. Fuji pouted, crossing his arms. Keji just laughed and extended his arms. His son ran up into them, letting his mother hold him.
A quick scent mark let Keji know he was just upset out of annoyance, not that he was hurt. Keji let out a breath he didn’t know he was holding. “I wasn’t, I just suck at that game. Dancing is not my thing.” Hajme shrugged.
Fuji thought hard about it, trying to figure out if he was lying or not. He sighed, “Okayyy, let's try again. But you win this time!” The little Alpha jumped out of his mothers soft grip, running back to the living room.
“I hate you, Toru,” Hajime stated before following him. Toru let out a little laugh.
“God, Hajime loves kids more than he wants to admit.” Toru breathed, having the other couple smile. They continued talking a bit, seeing how the pregnancy was going; compared how Kejis and Toru’s was different.
“But Daddy! I don’t want to gooo! They have pudding!” Fuji said, eyes getting puffy. Kotarou looked at his husband. Keji sighed and picked up his son.
“Honey, we have stuff we need to do. Plus, Uncle Toru needs rest. You want a healthy cousin to play with, right?” Fuji nodded his head, a tear threatening to fall. “Good. I’ll get you pudding of your choice at the store if you’re good. Can you do that for me?” Keji wiped his tears that had fallen.
“Yeah... I can,” He sniffled. Keji smiled lightly. Toru took mental notes.
“Good boy, let’s get you in the car, yeah?” Keji placed his son down nicely. “Don’t forget to say bye to your Uncles. I’ll be getting your car seat ready.” Keji waved while walking out the door.
“Bye-Bye Uncle Toru and Uncle Hajime!” Wow, literal magic. All signs of sadness are gone , Toru thought to himself. Him and Hajime hugged his nephew tightly, before he held his fathers hand and left.
“That was nice company,” Hajime said. “But.. Why me ?! You could've done Just Dance with him!” Toru laughed full-heartedly.
“Poor Iwa-chan, dancing and having fun with his nephew. Will I need to call the police?” He pouted, rubbing his husband's chest teasingly.
“Shut up, Shittykawa,” Hajime huffed. Toru pulled away and put his hands to his chest.
“So mean Iwa-chan! After all these years I thought we dropped those nicknames!”
“You still call me Iwa-chan.”
“Fair point.”
