Chapter Text
Life, some may say is full of joys and hopes, or love and friendships… what a joke. Life was just a nice name for the torture chamber we live in, especially for halfbreeds that are now outcodes and have been adopted by the Destroyer's older brother. Right, I should probably explain. I’m Ina, short for Inaccurate. I’m the adopted daughter of Geno and Reaper, I’m a crossbreed of a bird monster, canine monster, and a human. My uncle lets me stay with him sometimes in the Anti-void, I have black hair that fades to white, my right eye is scared so bad that I can no longer open it though my right eye has a slitted pupil and is golden, I have wolfish ears with five silver piercings, and black raven wings– much like Reapers– along with large canine teeth.
Now my story begins when I was ten years old when I got my scar while staying with my Uncle Error. Whenever I would stay in the Anti-void, Error would always let me sit with him because– for some reason– my touch never made him glitch. I was very quiet, I never made a peep, I would tap whoever was watching me different amounts of times for whatever I needed. One tap for cuddles, two for food, three for comfort– most likely from a nightmare, and four for I love you. Error liked that I had this system, from what he had told me at the time, it made him less anxious to be around me. Error never liked too much noise– that’s why he hates my Uncle Fresh– so when he learned that I never spoke unless it was important he jumped at the chance to get to know me.
So on this fateful day, my parents left me with Error while they went to visit a friend, Error and I were sitting on this beanbag chair. He was knitting while I was curled up next to him under a blanket he made for me. Then I heard a portal opening, I knew it wasn’t my parents because the sent was off. Error felt me tense up and he knew something was wrong, he blocked me from view as the newcomer came close.
“Glitchy! It’s been too long!” A whiny voice said I had to cover my ears because of its pitching. Error must have noticed my discomfort because he let out a glitchy growl. Error only glitches when he’s feeling threatened, I’ve never heard him glitch around me unless Reaper was close by. “Don’t be like that Glitchy! I just wanna play!”
“LeAvE mE Be, wE hAvE a TrUcE nOw No NeEd tO bOtHeR mE nOW.” Error spat, he got his strings ready. I knew Error didn’t like this newcomer so I growled quietly, fluffing my up so I looked bigger, the newcomer must have seen me because I heard a shout than a searing pain in my head. I knew I was crying, there was a ringing in my ears, I felt someone holding me and going by the vibrations they were shouting.
I opened one eye and saw it was an unfamiliar skeleton, he was short, wore lots of brown, and had a black mark on his cheek. I squirmed in his hold, I was crying harder knowing it wasn’t Error or my parents that held me. I fluttered my wings and started to kick at the new skeleton, I remember crying out for my uncle and parents so much that my voice hurt. The newcomer started to panic, then the next thing I knew Geno was holding me close while Reaper and Error threatened the other skeleton to never come near me again. Error told me a few weeks later that Ink– that was the other skeleton's name– had thought I was a creature that was going to attack him, unfortunately, I lost sight in my right eye because of that.
My family hasn’t forgiven Ink for his little incident ever since, Error didn’t leave our house until I was fully recovered. I had gotten very injured in my right eye to the point I couldn’t open it anymore, my right-wing was injured too making it so I couldn’t fly anymore.
After my incident, Geno, Reaper, and Error all decided that when I was older I would live with Errors team. So at the age of nineteen, I was shipped off to a creepy castle that I would call home for the next three or more years, I would be trained, kept safe, and be loved. The leader, Nightmare, actually ended up feeling like another father to me, he kept me close by his side for the first two weeks of my stay. He would ask me questions about my magic and family life, Nightmare even asked me if I read any books– which I hadn’t really and let me just tell you when you live with a bookworm and tell them that you’ve read like three books in the past nine years it’s basically treated like a mortal sin– when I told him no he started to shove book after book in my face.
Then he let me meet the others of the group, there were four others excluding my uncle and Nightmare himself. The first skeleton I met was interesting, to say the least, he had no eye-lights and had black tar-like tears running down his face. His soul was quite fascinating, to say the least, it was a ruby red target in front of his chest. It was as though it was challenging others to just try and attack him, it reminded me of a Blue Ring Octopus at the time. His name was Killer– how fitting– and he was pretty trigger happy. I could see why Nightmare didn’t want me to meet him without the Bos in the same room. Though things went quite differently than anyone expected.

Nightmare was leading Ina to meet his gang one by one, first up was Killer. If she could get along with Killer okay, then she’d have no problem with any of the others. He couldn’t help but notice that her wings were fluffed up to appear bigger, or that her sharp eye was darting every which way searching for a threat on her blind side. Nightmare opened a set of double doors made of heavy dark wood, Killer was playing with a knife and when he looked up he froze.
Killer had been spinning a knife, so when he froze and lost concentration the knife cut his finger. That caught Nightmare’s interest. Killer never cut himself on accident, so something was up.
Ina had also frozen she seemed to have just started to stare into the endless void known as Killer’s empty sockets. Suddenly her wings flared up into a position that looked like she was holding her hand up in surrender, Nightmare had seen Reaper do it a few times when they had first met or when he and Geno had an argument and was proven to be wrong.
All was silent for a while until in a blur of movement Ina had moved to hold Killer close, Nightmare instantly knew what had happened. They were soulmates . Nightmare couldn’t help but laugh when Ina started to act like a small puppy towards Killer, nuzzling him and holding him close with her arms and wings.
They hugged for a while– most likely ten or so minutes– then Nightmare ordered Killer to stop, and being the loyal sap he was, Killer listened but did hesitate. “ Now, Killer, this is our newest resident, the Daughter of Death and niece to the Great Destroyer, Inaccurate or Ina as she prefers to be called. You will treat her with respect and if you cause her more trauma than she already has then you’ll be dealing with her family and me . ” Nightmare knew Killer wouldn’t harm her on purpose, Killer knew how precious a soulmate was.
“Of course boss, I would never harm a soulmate! You know this!” Killer shouted, though his shout made Ina flinch. Instantly Killer had a look of guilt and was cooing gentle things at his soulmate. Nightmare knew that she would be a good fit for the skeleton. Ina started to back up so she stood closer to Nightmare, Killer didn’t like that one bit so being the kind of skeleton he was, he folded his arms and pouted like a child.
It was silent for a moment then the sound of a snort came from Ina, her shoulders were bouncing but there was no sound. Killer gave her a confused look, his gaze fell on Nightmare who was smiling at his newest charge with great joy. She hadn’t laughed or smiled since she came to live with him. Nightmare noticed the look Killer was giving him and explained. “ Ina, from what Error had said, was always quiet and had made a small system for others to understand her when she was young. Then it didn’t help when she was injured so she’s often mute, though she will speak when it’s needed– ” Nightmare was unable to finish because a pulse of Negativity came from deep within the castle.

What had happened after meeting Killer still makes me laugh to this day, the Negativity Nightmare had felt that day was Dust and Horror fighting over who would be next. Right, I should tell you what Dust and Horror look like!
Dust is around five-foot-three and has an odd type of heterochromia, his right eye is pure red while his left is red with a ring of blue. He loved to wear a typical Sand Hoodie but it was stained with hints of grey because of the monster dust that was always on him and just like Killer, he loved knives. One thing that always made me uneasy at first was the ghost that would follow him.
I didn’t make it known that I could see him, being the adopted daughter of death and all, but after my accident, I knew I almost died so my soul made a bond to Reaper and Geno so I picked up some of their powers. From Reaper, I got the “touch of death” and the ability to speak to and see the dead, from Geno I got huge magic reserves. They knew all of this within the first week of my recovery.
Horror was a little intimidating, to say the least, with him being two feet taller than me. I’m four-foot-one and Horror was a good six-ish feet tall. He had a large hole in the left side of his skull that made his memory not so great, he only had one dilated eyelight in his left socket while the other was as dark as the void. Unlike Killer and Dust’s hoodies, his was more like a hunter's coat, it was thick and had bloodstains with a blue-ish grey fur trim around the hood. The first time he showed his more… feral side of things, I was pretty spooked.
I learned that Dust, Killer, and Horror were all my soulmates and so we all decided to become shared mates, it only made sense. We’ve been through so much and even now we still go on crazy adventures. Continue reading this and you’ll see just how crazy life can get when you’re a part of Nightmare’s gang and have the kind of life I do.
Signing out for now,
Inaccurate the Skeleton.

Chapter Text
Ina was pinned against Blue’s chest as they held her captive from her mates, her wings were hidden by magic, her hands pinned to her back, eyes covered. She could hear Horror’s roars, Killers knives clanking, Cross’ blasters, Nightmare’s shouts, Error’s laughter, and she could smell Dust’s scent. She could tell Blue was watching all the chaos of her family trying to get to her, it was a simple feeling of his breath and soul beat. Ina could feel her inner reaper trying to get out, with a deep breath she slowed her own soul beat till it was calm, then she unleashed her wings knocking Blue onto his rump.
With a flap of her mighty wings she flew into the air faster than anyone could blink, she undid the blindfold and looked down at the battle… she froze. Nightmare was restrained, Error was helping Dust while Killer was getting an unconscious Horror back through a portal only for Dream to cut them off. Cross was trying to get to Nightmare but was being stopped by a splash of Inks paints. Ina felt anger course through her, her blood boiled, soul thudded with pure rage at the Stars for hurting her family . Luckily for her, she was trained by death and the King of Negativity, with another deep breath she raised her hands and gripped onto Dream and Blue’s souls with a flick of the wrist she threw them into a tree. Her glowing golden eye locked onto Ink, the one who started this whole thing.
Just an hour before she was in her room waiting for Killer to come in so they could play video games when Ink had somehow snuck in and took her into the Doodlesphere, where the Stars were. They tried to ask if she was taken by force from her fathers, she said nothing choosing to be mute rather than deal with the three goody-two-shoes known as the Stars. That’s when Ink blindfolded her and threw her into a dungeon-type room– from what she could tell anyway– and the next thing she knew she was teleported into the middle of a battle.
Remember… She thought to herself. Two minutes or else, with only half power. Thirty seconds with full power. Ina saw Ink starting to go at her uncle and Father figure. “Thirty seconds it is.” She muttered. It was a year into her stay with Nightmare that she learned just how dangerous she could be, Nightmare had sent her on a mission to help Killer kill off an AU. She had lost control of her temper because of a dumb human calling her really bad slurs, that’s when she opened her scared eye . That’s also the day she learned the time limits or else she could be hospitalized or worse. Sci thought it could be because she got some of Reapers powers after their souls connected to keep her alive after she first met Ink mixed with her being a crossbreed.
With a deep breath, Ina closed her eye and landed on the ground, once her bare feet touched the snow-covered ground of Snowdin she could feel every soul in the AU. She could even feel where Ink’s soul should’ve been. Focusing on that she could track him, she zoned out of all of her other senses except touch and her sight. When Ink moved to grab her from behind she spun around and opened both eyes . Her right one no longer had a normal eye, it was black with a white dot as a pupil that pulsed with magic. She raised her hand and Ink froze in place as if there was blue magic on him, she focused on where his soul would’ve been and felt the faintest hint of his paints, that’s where she could use her magic.
With just a twitch of her fingers, he was raised into the air and then shot into a tree. With a single flap of her wings she shot after him, Ina was only an inch from his face when Ink opened his eyes again. All she said was three little words that held oh so much hate and power it would make a fell monster or even Fresh wet themselves. “ Leave us be. ”
Her gaze went over to Dream, she locked onto his soul and flung him into Nightmare’s embrace. Then with three seconds to spare she opened a portal for her family and for herself once it closed and she knew they were safe she allowed herself to lose consciousness in the arms of Error.
