Summary
“No one goes into the woods in the winter.”
George did.
Despite the sign on the fence up for four years warning any passersby not to, he did. With no clear goal or need to go in there. It becomes clear after wandering off the path, he's being hunted.

George being an idiot and disregarding a sign. Gets stuck in a liminal space winter forest at night with Dream, who is a serial killer, a cannibal, and definetly not human. Fun!
What a great story honestly. I could picture the sequence of events so well and how the tension kept building. In my head I was imagining what a great indie horror game that would make. George is so insufferable even at the threat of dying. He is so stubborn and annoying, they both are. We love them for it. Binged all 3 parts of the trilogy cause it got me hooked.

Just finished this series and honestly just wow.
There were so many times when reading this and I just thought “oh god, I don’t know if I can finish this.” That’s how intense it was, that’s how it got my blood pumping. This story is so well written, fight scenes so nicely said that I could picture it clearly without struggle.
The way Dream is depicted here is genuinely scary, he guards himself with a terrifying aura that would send fear down any persons spine, but that’s just what makes him such a good, well written character, he is captivating.
The plot and lore in this story is amazing too, eventually figuring out Dream and who he really is and what made him become a cold blooded killer is interesting, it’s one of the main points that kept me reading, even when at times I was too worried to continue.
One of my absolute favourite things about this entire story though is George and Sapnaps relationship, god it really tugs on your heart strings, the dynamic between the two is so unbelievably gripping that I could not look away from my screen until I knew what was happening. But, holy shit that section right at the end, completely killed me, in the best and worst ways.
A well written, thrilling story that will have you on the edge of your seat anxious for more.
