John
- Uses very bad, cringy, pick up lines.
- “I wish I were cross-eyed so I can see you twice.”
- “What the fuck, John?”
- “What? I thought that’s sweet, don’t you?”
- Gets easily irritated, but always the first one to apologize.
- He would come up to you, his head hung low and say, “Listen, I’m sorry, I was out of line.” He wouldn’t dare to look up, simply waiting for your answer.
- You would let out a long breath and shake your head. He could be an ass, but you loved him, so of course you’d forgive him.
- Surprisingly very good at gift giving. He would always remember the little things you mention, and would make sure to bring them to you when he’s out.
- “Here, I remember you talking about it the other day,” he’d say, giving you a small, golden hair clip.
Arthur
- Very patient when it comes to teaching you anything, be it the drawing, horse riding or shooting.
- Doesn’t get irritated when you don’t understand something or are having a hard time. He’s more than happy to go over it again with you, or explain in simpler terms if you are having a hard time understanding.
- “There, you got it. Now, you’re officially an outlaw,” he’d say when you finally feel comfortable holding a revolver.
- Will be more than happy to teach you how to draw.
- He would take you to an open field, or a forest, where all the animals roam freely, and draw with you, helping you whenever you ask.
- Will buy you your own journal so you don’t have to draw on scraps of paper.
- “Here. I got this for you when I was in town. Thought you might find it useful,” he’d say, giving you a brand new journal.
Mary-Beth
- Loves running her fingers through your hair.
- If you allow her, she will braid or do some fancy styles on them.
- “You look so beautiful like that!” she’d say once she finished doing your hair, adding a small flower as a final touch.
- Will read to you whenever possible.
- The two of you can often be found away from camp, hidden by a shade from a tree, you with your head in Mary-Beth’s lap, one of her hands in your hair, the other holding a book.
- She would call your name, asking what you thought about a specific part. When you don’t answer she’d call again and look down, only to see your eyes closed.
- She would shake her head, a small smile on her lips; she’s not mad. She’ll put the book away and close her eyes as well. (That is, until Miss Grimshaw comes by, sees you sleeping and wake up both of you, rushing you to do some work)
