Arthur/Reader/John Siblings Headcanons

Summary:

Based on this request; Okay but, young Arthur/reader just with their little raccoon brother John causing trouble? It don’t matter but I just, love the idea of young Arthur and reader just, picking on lil John just for something (I’m a older sibling excuse me I know it shows) they like bad parents.

Work Text:

  • One of the things that brought you and Arthur together, aside from your shared love for nature and drawing, was your side activity of teasing John.
  • Being around the same age, you and Arthur treated John, who was a good few years younger, like your little brother, teasing him continuously.
  • “Hosea!” John would whine, pointing to you and Arthur. “Y/N and Arthur hid my clothes, again!”
  • Hosea would take a deep breath, shaking his head, before looking at where you and Arthur stood, trying to stiffen your giggles as you watched poor John, covered in a just blanket.
  • “Let me come with you,” John would say when the two of you get ready to go on a job.
  • You would chuckle at John’s childish pout and the way he stomped his leg when Arthur said, “Maybe when you can shoot a shotgun without falling back from the recoil.”
  • Despite teasing him all the time, you and Arthur loved John, and would never let anyone or anything happen to him.
  • “Watch where you’re going, boy,” a drunk saloon patron said as he walked by, pushing John and making him fall on the ground.
  • You and Arthur instantly stopped in your tracks, turning around to see what happened. You quickly made your way to John, helping him up while Arthur made his way to the drunker, turning him around by the collar of his shirt and socking him in the face.
  • You watch where you’re goin’,” he would as he looked down on the guy, spitting on him before walking to where you and John stood, carrying on with what you were doing as if nothing happened.
  • No one was allowed to hurt John except the two of you.
