Hand in hand, Jett and Sage were sitting down under a large tree provided at the Valorant Headquarters' garden. Jett softly reading a book for Sage held by her other hand as the healer's head were to be resting on the hawk's shoulder on a quiet afternoon. The couple had been there for the time, and neither of them wanted to go just yet.
"Hey love birds." Skye greeted, still in her gardening clothes, she sure was having fun taking care of various plants all around the garden. And if it weren't for her, they would've been dead by now.
The couple giggled, Jett closing the book, leaving her thumb on the current page she was on to prevent from losing where she left.
"Good afternoon as well, Skye." Sage greeted back, smiling at the fellow healer. Skye took her gardening gloves off first before she sat under the tree as well, making sure to keep distance between the two of them so they could have their peace. Skye's tasmanian tiger following after her, which decided to sit closer to Sage.
Jett took her time on patting the creature, Skye and Sage smiled at the sight, the tiger was so calm when it isn't in battle.
"She's like that when she feels another presence around her, this time, it isn't so bad. Maybe she likes you that much." Skye said, directing the sentence to Jett.
"I do have that effect on everyone." Jett proudly said as she giggled.
"Well, I just came by to rest easy for a while, Brimstone asked to get you two into his office for a meeting but since you two are being cuddly. Take your time alright?" Skye said, standing up, she waved her hand before she took her leave. The tiger following soon after.
"You want to go?" Sage asked looking at Jett, slicking some of the hawk's hair onto her ear, Jett smiling in the touch.
"Can we stay for a few more minutes, pleaseee?"
Sage sighed playfully "5 minutes, since I am interested on the story as well." The couple giggled and rested for a few more minutes, taking their time as Skye said, surely it doesn't have to be so urgent if she said so.

"You two are finally here, come take your seats before we begin." Brimstone said, Sage and Jett arrived wearing their proper attires since it's a meeting, and would most probably be relating to a mission.
As they took their seats, sitting across each other. Brimstone cleared his throat before he spoke "We have a mission coming up. And again it's about Kingdom, they've been reported to ship radianite at a night market for tomorrow, and were sending agents there to atleast stop the shipment, we will go earlier so people would get warned."
"Why would they want radianite when they don't like the presence of radiants?" Killjoy wondered.
"That's the suspicion we have, we don't know why they want it. And that leads me to think they won't use it for good. So we're going to find out for ourselves." Brimstone replied "Any more questions?"
"When is the mission held?" Jett asked.
"2 days from now. Cypher is out with Sova to install cameras in the area for monitoring. The team that will be sent are Reyna, Sova, Sage, Viper and Jett. Prepare for it, you are dismissed unless you have questions. That is all."
As all the other agents as Killjoy, Reyna snd Viper made their way out, well why was Killjoy there even when she wasn't called? She insisted on coming with Sabine ofcourse. Jett on the other hand, was remained on her seat, looking slightly nervous. Concerning Sage who hasn't stood up from her seat either.
"I suppose you have questions for me kiddo." Brimstone said with his back turned, looking over at files stored at his drawer.
Jett was so worked up on her thought that she hasn't notice Sage was standing next to her, massaging her shoulders.
"Is everything alright?" Sage asked worriedly, Jett holding her lover's hand that was placed on her shoulder, she smiled at her and stood up.
"It's alright, you can go. Brimstone and I will talk." Jett whispered, giving Sage a kiss on the cheek to assure her about it. Sage only smiled back before she kissed Jett's hand, grazing her thumb over it before she let go and exited the office.
"Brimstone can we uhm, exclude Sage from the mission?"
Brimstone turned his head over at Jett at the request "Why is that? You need a healer with you incase anything happens."
"I do know but can't we replace Skye for that?"
"Skye's on duty for backup."
"But-"
"Why are you so concerned about her? Listen, you make a good couple but I'm sure Sage can handle herself fair, okay? No need to worry about it, how about this. I'll add Skye to the team, is that fair kid?" Brimstone offered, Jett sighing in defeat, she knew she can't do it, why did she even bother.
"I... guess... Thanks for the talk Brim, I'll catch you later."

The next two days, Jett had spent them on the shooting range, having Sage watch her or even train with her at times. It passed by quickly for them, they rarely have time for one another, yet they try to be around each other as much as possible.
Few soft claps could be heard when Jett hit 3 headshots in a row with a sheriff, they were from Sage. The healer cheering Jett on from the seats not too far behind her.
"I did that!" Jett exclaimed happily and quite possibly ambitiously.
"You did well my little hawk." Sage softly spoke, even when it was as soft as a whisper, it was only the two of them in the indoor range.
"Think you can beat it~?" Jett cooed, Sage rolling her eyes playfully as she uncrossed her arms and stood up from her seat, hugging Jett from behind and nuzzling her face onto the hawk's neck.
"There's nothing wrong if I try." Sage answered back, taking the sheriff from the other girl's hand, Jett sat herself aside to make way for Sage as she stepped forward. Holding the sheriff in an aiming angle and even closing one of her eye throughout the times to make sure her angle is right.
A shot, two shots, three, four, and a total of 5 shots in a row was heard. Jett impressively had her mouth hung open from the sight of 4 headshots and a body shot. Sage beat her score.
Sage jokingly blew off the smoke from the sheriff, the two of them bursting into soft laughter afterwards. Sage put the sheriff down, and as she's done so. A pair of arms wrapped and locked around her waist from her back. She chuckled at the contact and smiled, holding them in place with her hands.
"I think you're ready for tomorrow." Jett mumbled.
"I always am ready." Sage paused "Are you?"
"I'm worried for you both, but I'll make sure to stick around until the end. I won't leave you. I have to take care of my responsibilities."
Sage smiled and turned around, cupping the hawk's chin softly as she planted a kiss on her lips. It lasted for a while, until they had to pull away. Jett held Sage's hand, and one into her lover's belly.
"I'll be the one to protect you."

The day started, bright and early, all the agents assigned for the task were having breakfast together on one table. Everyone laughing and telling random stories and having fun. Well, except for Viper who was eating in peace.
"I wonder how I'm always in a mission with these strong women, I know you are strong enough for yourselves." Sova said, the girls chuckling onto the comment.
"Come on, you know we need your help Sova." Jett replied.
"Right! We need to have eyes on the battle, perfect example you are!" Skye said.
"Though, on the end of the note, we must focus when we're there. I've known and fought enough of Kingdom to know how deadly they are." Sage spoke before she drank water from her glass as she finished her meal.
"Ofcourse mi corazón, we will be as careful as possible." Reyna replied, patting Sage:s shoulder since the healer was seated next to her "Besides, I know Jett won't let us down when it comes to you." Reyna winked.
The couple blushed and only giggled, it was true, they won't let each other down.

The day passed very quickly enough for their preparation. The team had just landed their private jet on a place not too far from the night market. Tons of people were out at this time of the night and event. The guns they held were hidden well enough from their clothing who served as a disguise. They split into partners. Viper and Sage, Sova and Jett, and Reyna and Skye. Each having a communication ear piece on them, which they could use to communicate, and also having Cypher as their comms since he monitors the place with his cameras.
"I've spotted two with firearms at the stand right in the corner of Jett's position. Becareful." Cypher spoke through the ear piece.
Thinking of all the people they could possibly hurt from this mission, each of them felt guilt, so they tried their best to make as much people flee from the place. Successfully managing to convince a few.
"Viper to Reyna, do you copy?"
"I do, how's your position?"
"We've seen the soldiers, a lot, they're everywhere. Go to my location, I'll tell Cypher to send you all here. I'll be waiting, make it quick." Viper said as she focused back onto using her gun, scoping around and finding more and more soldiers each time she looks, holding a hand behind her to sign over to Sage to fall back.
"Cypher told me they're close, you can smoke, I'll meet the rest Sabine." Sage said, finally letting out her stinger, as she was about to walk away, she felt a grip hold her wrist. Viper looked at her in the eyes.
"Sage, becareful, please."
Sage smiled "I will."

As they all met up, Viper finally deployed her toxic screen along with her poison orb to block the enemies vision onto seeing them. Sova then took the chance to use his drone, spotting 6 near them.
"Jett darling, do me a favor and smoke there will you? We will enter and finish this quick." Reyna had said, Jett nodding after, reloading her Vandal before she smoked infront of them. She took one last look at Sage.
"Stay safe." Jett said, as Reyna had cut the enemy's vision, Jett took the chance to dash infront of her smoke and shooting her Vandal successfully getting three, and Reyna getting the same amount.
Sova and Viper then entered the site next as Skye's tiger was summoned and found one, Sova shooting it in the head for a quick death.
"We must hurry, we don't have time." Sova said, everyone following after him soon, they reached the place, and saw boxes and boxes of radianite being put into another jet.
They all entered together, Jett used her knives, Skye's seekers, Sova's shock dart and Viper's poison while Sage and Reyna shoots them when their allies deploy their abilities.
Though Sage was quick to notice Jett's string of curses as she heard gunshots on her lover's position from her ear piece.
"Jett? Jett do you-" Sage was cut off when she got shot by her leg, not noticing the person from behind her, Reyna quickly being invincible to shoot the person out.
Reyna had to go over there to end anyone else who dared to go for them, while Skye helped Sage up as they walked over to a safe place.
"Heal up Sage." Skye said, putting her gun down as she healed the other.
"But Jett... Jett is in danger... Skye we have to-"
"Shhh, stay there, I'll take care of her. I'll tell Reyna to fall back and keep an eye on you." Skye said as she quickly took her gun back and trying to communicate with Jett through her ear piece, telling her to hang on and to stay composed.
Sage had only noticed when she tried to stand up, that someone had shot her shoulder, she groaned in pain, letting out an orb to heal herself. Quickly, she couldn't fight just yet, and she feared Reyna might be in danger as well.
Just when she thought she was safe, she heard slow footsteps approaching her way, her eyes widening, her gun was far from her reach since Skye only helped her to stay out of where she left it off. She can try and run for it, but she shots in her leg said otherwise.
A figure stood in front of her, it's eyes glowed in the dark as it held a pistol pointed directly at Sage's forehead.
She weakly panted and tried to take image of the person, yet she can't and she was slowly losing blood as well.
As the guy was a about to pull the trigger, a voice came shouting.
"Don't do it...!" A tired, shot all over yet still standing Jett shouted as she struggled to walk over her lover, falling on her knees and dropping her gun "Don't do it... Please.... She's, she's carrying a child. Please, just end me instead."
The man, thought twice, yet the same un-bothered aura was shown from him. Sage widened her eyes with the familiar voice, when she looked over at Jett, the man already was making his way to her.
"JETT NO!"
Sage cried, screaming from her lungs as she tried to crawl over to her. Jett's futile tries of standing up failed harder each time she did.
Though, a sniper was heard from behind and shot the man in the head, Viper, alongside Reyna ran their way through their allies as Sova and Skye arrived, wounded as well and injured.
"I've attached the bomb to the jet engine, let's go before it catches us." Sova immediately spoke, wasting no time in carrying Jett while Skye held Sage in her arms. Reyna and Viper covering them making sure no one else was around.
They made their way to their own jet, and got off before the explosion reached them.
"Hang in there you two, we're going home."

Jett woke up in a medical bed, her eyes fluttered slowly as her blurred vision slowly took image of her surroundings, she was in the medical room. Yet she still felt pain all over her body, she managed to sit up to find Sage over the sofa next to her bed, looking at her lovingly and happily.
"We... We didn't fail the mission right?" Jett asked weakly.
Sage walked to caress her lover's cheek "You just woke up and you think of that? We accomplished, thanks to everyone."
Jett smiled, tried to, holding Sage's cheek in her palm. And Sage holding her hand in place.
"Everyone knows now."
Jett was going to get shocked. Yet she saw it coming already, she only giggled weakly as a response "I hope Brimstone won't be mad at me."
"We talked, he said it was fine, but as the baby starts to grow. I will have to refrain from joining missions."
"I'm sorry Sage."
"Don't be, honey, I wouldn't have survived without you."
Jett sat up and hugged her lover even if it pains her body, Sage hugging her back, even releasing tears of joy.
"You protected me, you did Jett."
"I will always protect you Sage, always and forever."
After a while, knocks could be heard from the door. As the door opened, Brimstone arrived with his hat nowhere to be found, he looked at the couple asking if he could enter. Sage nodding in response.
"If it's okay, I want to have a talk with Jett, alone." Brimstone said, sitting beside Sage, Sage looked at Jett once more before she nodded, smiling at her before she stood up and exited the room.
"How long?"
"Huh?"
"How long have you two been hiding this to everyone?" Brimstone asked as he crossed his fingers, his voice was calm, he wasn't angry, he was asking genuinely.
Jett looked away "A month and a half."
The old man sighed "Jett, you know you could've told me. What if you didn't arrive on time for her? Or what if you two didn't make it?"
"I-i messed up okay. I wanted her to be left from the mission because I want her safe, I have to be responsible..."
"We're doing this altogether. We will provide all of her needs, I'm sorry I didn't get to know earlier." Brimstone finally let out a smile.
Jett couldn't express what she was feeling, Brimstone had let them keep the child when she was expecting the total opposite. She smiled and extended her arm, forming a fist. Brimstone taking the action in and doing the same. Jett pressed hers against the mans.
"You just did a fist bump."
Brimstone looked at his hand, another one of the kids' new things he had guessed. He had heard of it, but he's never done it. He only let out a chuckle.
"Get better soon, everyone's waiting for you kid. Congratulations." Brimstone finally stood up from his seat and walked over to the door "You need some rest, I'll call Sage."
Once the door closed, Jett could only look over to the window provided close to her bed, she looked over at the sky, the clouds slowly moved in her vision, until then, she knew it was something new, that she didn't have to hide what now was important to her and Sage. They are going to start a family, and knows what's ahead of them. All she knows is that she will keep her promise.
"Do you think it's a boy?" Sage spoke, Jett snapping from her thoughts, she hadn't noticed Sage enter. She made space on her bed and tapped it, indicating for Sage to sit there with her.
"I think it will be a girl, a beautiful one. Just like you." Jett spoke "I'm so glad nothing too bad happened to you, or to our little one." Jett placed a hand on Sage's belly once again. Sage holding her hand over Jett's, grazing her thumb over her palm.
"And I'm glad you're safe too my love." Sage softly spoke, kissing Jett's forehead "As the months pass you're able to feel the baby, are you excited?"
Jett giggled before she nodded, she rested her head onto Sage's shoulder "I can't believe we will be a family soon."
"I can't believe it too, yet, it excites me to see the both of us being parents, having to take care of a child."
"Will we stay here, at Valorant?"
"We will take a break and start our own lives first, and then. When we're needed again. We can always come back, together." Sage said.
Then the comfortable silence entered, the two of them were happy and they knew it.
"Hey, ever thought of Sabine being a godmother?"
"Jett!"
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry." Jett giggled, and then, as the rest of the agents entered the room. They all congratulated the couple and even had food for all of them. Now they knew what was ahead of them, it might not be an easy path. But they will conquer it, together.
