“Can you see the ducky.” Alec chuckles, bouncing the rubber duck in the bath and smiling when Noah chuckles. “Papa.” He giggles, splashing him. “Careful.” He says, rolling up his sleeves as the door opens. “It dada!” Joe comes in, leaning down to kiss Alec. “Are you having a bath?” He asks, resting a hand on Alec’s chest. “He’s very good at splashing now.” The man chuckles. “What are we doing for dinner?” Joe asks, leaning against the wall. “I was going to get started on food but Noah was begging for a bath.” Joe nods, brushing a hand on the man’s shoulder. “I’ll work something out.” He says, moving out into the kitchen again. “Buh-bye.” Noah waves. “Yeah. Buh-bye, that’s right.” Alec waves back, grabbing the boy’s little hand. “Are we going to go to bed nicely tonight?” Noah shakes his head giggling. “Oh I thought you’d say that.” Alec tickles him, turning to grab the boy’s towel. “Are we going to be a koala?” Alec picks the boy up and pulls the hood on over his head. “Ears.” He grabs the ears on the hood. “Let’s get you all nice and warm.” Alec picks him up, wrapping the towel around the boy and rubs his chest. “My little baby boy.” Alec coos, making the toddler giggle. “Ooo something smells yummy.” Alec says, moving behind Joe. “Oh my baby smells so sweet. Come here, little koala.” Joe takes him from Alec’s arms, bouncing him. “Let’s go find our pyjamas.” He chuckles, taking him into the bedroom. “I’ve put a timer on.” He tells Alec who was looking into the oven. “Looks good.”
Joe yawns as he comes out of Noah’s room. “He’s down for the night, had to read goodnight moon three times.” Alec nods, moving his arms around Joe. “Maybe he’ll stay in his own bed all night. We can have some alone time.” He smiles, kissing Joe’s neck. “Does that mean we can finally finish that boxset?” Joe turns looking up at the man. “Sounds like a plan.” He kisses him as the timer goes off. “Put the food in bowls and we can eat in bed.” Joe whispers, moving out of the Scot’s arms. Alec serves the food into the bowls, putting a fork in each of them before taking them to the bedroom. Joe was setting up the baby monitor. “Voila.” Alec chuckles resting the food on the side. “He’s okay.” Alec moves up onto the bed, rubbing Joe’s back. “I know.” He nods, turning around and connecting their lips. “I’m too tired for sex.” Joe whispers, looking up at Alec. “Why don’t we finish watching our show.” Alec pulls away, grabbing the remote. “Here you are.” He passes Joe his food, resting his head against the boy’s shoulder with a yawn. “Don’t fall asleep on me again, I need my tv buddy.” Joe pokes him with his fork. “Oi!” Alec grumbles, rubbing it.
“Dada!” Alec opens his eyes, looking at the tv. “What?” He asks, looking around as he wakes up. “You missed half an episode and Noah’s woken up.” Joe says, putting the bowls on his bedside table. “I’ll check on him, he’s calling for me anyway.” He explains, sliding off of the bed and out of the room. Alec sits himself up and looks to the time on his phone, pausing the tv show. “Someone is being clingy.” Joe whispers, coming back in with Noah on his hip. “That’s okay. Bed’s big enough for all three of us.” Alec smiles, opening his arms for Noah before shuffling over so that Joe can lay down too. “Blaze?” Noah giggles, pressing the buttons on the tv remote. “Okay, okay. This show is too gory for you anyway.” Alec changes to the kids channel, sliding a hand around Joe’s shoulders and kissing his head. “Do you think he’ll get bored of cuddles?” Joe asks, brushing a hand through the little boy’s hair. “I think they do, hopefully not for a long while.” Alec answers, kissing Noah’s blond hair, picking him up and moving the covers over the three of them. “For now he’s our little koala.” Alec lays down, resting a hand on the boy’s stomach and watches Joe yawn. “Close your eyes, I got him.” He reassures, pushing a thumb into the knot on Joe’s shoulder. “Relax, you deserve to.”
